NextClinic receives high praise for its speed and convenience, particularly for users requiring medical certificates, specialist referrals, and routine prescription repeats. The service is frequently described as a reliable alternative when local GPs are unavailable or when users are in rural or remote areas. While the majority of feedback is positive, a small segment of users has raised concerns regarding the clinical limitations of telehealth and the cost-efficiency of short-term prescriptions.

Verdict
NextClinic is a highly efficient solution for straightforward medical needs such as sick notes, referrals, and urgent script refills when a regular GP is inaccessible. It is best suited for administrative medical tasks, though users should be aware that complex diagnoses or requests for long-term repeats may be limited by telehealth regulations or individual clinical discretion.
First time using NextClinic due to urgency. If you are aware that you can't prescribe Tamiflu unless for certain age group or high risk group. Please state it clearly on the website as I feel like this can be done better. Wasted my $60 for nothing. I have already confirmed I need the Tamiflu to get better due to urgent stuff commitment and confirmed no side effect on me which I have taken it before.
I booked and paid for an online consultation specifically to obtain a prescription, only to be told during the appointment that prescriptions for this issue aren’t provided over the phone. If that policy exists, it should have been made clear before I booked and paid. I feel like my time and money were wasted, and the consultation provided no… Read more
value. Being upfront about these limitations before taking payment would save other patients the same frustration.

Great service with little effort – Fast, easy way to get a doctor’s certificate when you have something simple as the common cold or flu. I don’t need to pay $90 and turn up to an office in person. For anything serious please see your doctor.

script filled no hassels at all. i am curious as to pensioners discount on scripts and also being aboriginal are there any discounts ? like the pbs? very happy with my next clinic experience
Follow-up · Hi it's always smoith sailing when I get a script through here although I wish it was cheaper to acquire a script... sorry. Excellent service all round tho. Also no I've never been given any info on discounts etc. Please inform me.
Was quick and easy . Nice not to have to leave home and sit at DR when your not well
Follow-up · Booking was easy and price is reasonable
This service is so easy to use. The website is very easy to navigate and the price is pretty good. Do yourself a favor and give them a go. I’ve been using them for a while now and very happy.
Follow-up · Well nothing has change since my first review its still a great easy to use service and you can even contact a human if needed well done guys

Excellent care. We had been to 2 local Urgent Care clinics and 2 local walk in clinics and got turned away. We were told the hospital won’t even look at my son as it’s not urgent enough. I placed a Telehealth appointment and was called within 30 mins.
I needed a new prescription, I jumped on this site and booked an appointment for 15 minutes time, the doctor called right on time. Very pleasant lady, very informative and sensitive on my situation. Would highly recommend
They make it easy to get a certificate if you need one As of recently I've to had to take time for my father and organising him so it's more like carers leave. But anyway they make it easier for you and it's great really it's great service

Fom NexClinic when they charged for a repeat script but only gave a single script. Your medication is not available via express script pathway (24.90$) and doctors don’t prescribe repeats for all medication if it is not clinically appropriate which is in your case. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO SEE YOUR SPECIALIST OR GP IN PERSON BEFORE YOUR MEDICATION RUNS… Read more
OUT. I capitalise what they sent. SO advice is avoid at all cost and take their advice see your own doctor or another provider but not NextClinic
Inconsistent service and poor follow-up. I was initially prescribed treatment, but a repeat was declined and I was told to book with another doctor. When I asked for clarification before paying for another appointment, I received no reply. Patients shouldn’t be expected to rebook and pay again without clear guidance. Very disappointing experience.
Unacceptable. Referrals from “doctors” just copy your comments and paste into a letter. No due diligence - they just take your money with no actual phone call. Disgraceful.
Did you read our support reply and you have been… Read more

Absolute blessing when your sick full of the flu and the last thing anyone feels like doing is going into a doctors office for an appointment (that you can't get into same day appointment anyway) when you just need a certificate for work!
Very quick response to get the referral I needed for an MRI. Took less less than 30 minutes from start, to when I received a GP call and had the referral emailed to me
Actually really impressed with next clinic. I’ve never used them before but I was going through some stress after my own GP not listening to my concerns and I just wanted further investigation. I spoke with a doctor over the phone. He didn’t dismiss me. He went ahead with my request for a CT. Then following that just their response times and… Read more
communication from next clinic we’re so good they replied so quickly and had empathy. Will definitely use next clinic in future. I tried another clinic first who dismissed me and wouldn’t follow through with my request.
Thank you so, so much to the Dr at next clinic for helping me out today. I ran out of a medication that I thought I had a repeat script for. After a few days of not taking the med, I began experiencing severe withdrawal symptoms. It was a horrible 24hours. I couldn’t afford to see a GP on a Sunday which led me to find next clinic on-line. little cost, In less than 30 mins, I had the script I needed. Got the medication asap. Now I just have to give it some time before I feel normal again. I couldn’t be more thankful and grateful for this service.
Very helpful service when I was unable to get in to see my gp for several days. Was able to get a script and advice for my issue. Friendly and thorough in his explanation
I live rurally and this service saved me from a long drive into town to obtain a medical certificate, ie if I could get a gp appointment in the first place. A very convenient service
Amazing service and response time. The Doctor I spoke to was lovely and so very helpful, kind, professional and understanding. I will definitely be using this service again. Highly recommended. Thank you so much NextClinic.
Realised the night before my Specialist appointment that my Referral had expired. Checked online to see if my usual Medical Clinic had any appointments for the next day. Of course, all booked out. Did an online search of my other options and located NextClinic. Phone appointment made, paperwork filled in online. The next day, exactly on time, a… Read more
call was received and my referral was emailed to me. Problem with expired Referral averted! Very impressed with NextClinic; will use again.
The response from the NextClinic doctor was excellent, but the prescription for my medication didn't have the Medicare authority. So, the medication lasts for 4 weeks from today, and it comes with the proviso, "if needed before 01-July-2026 consult pharmacist." this is 7 weeks and 2 days, leaving a shortfall of 3 weeks 2 days. Will a pharmacist be… Read more
able to dispense the medication in 4 weeks time, or do I have to wait for the extra 3 weeks 2 days without medication? Just wondering.

Process for medical certificate was super easy. Received medical certificate with in a minute. So much better than having to go to doctor for a medical certificate.
Today I used NextClinic for the first time and I was left very impressed and satisfied by their professionalism, care and support. I felt like I’d just walked into a good old fashioned Australian doctor’s clinic again. I will recommend them to everyone I know.
Fantastic service. Dr reviewed my script request and detailed info almost immediately after I sent it through. Great how if they deny the script for some reason they give your money back and provide you a detailed reason why by email, inviting you to make an app where you can speak with them about it. Literally all this happens within 10 minutes.… Read more
If it’s not just a repeat then you have to make a consultation app where you talk to rather by video but since I’ve just wanted repeats I haven’t had to do that. If that’s all I want and u get denyed theyl tell you why and refund you and you can redo it or do a consultation one. Sometimes they deny only cos i you just forgot to say your dr prescribed it previously or that you had been on it for at least several months or that it works well. They can’t just give you a repeat if they don’t know if those things are true it could be a different med and it is harmful to you they wouldn’t want that or the legal repercussions. If everything is true about the repeats tho and said like that they send through the script right away. Like in 10min. And no waiting to submit it. I literally go onto the site already parked in front of the chemist I know it will be that quick and easy. Which is what we woman need in a service when we are unfairly forced by nature to use medications just to function the way our bodies functioned most of our lives. Most women don’t even know why their whole bodies are falling apart. Once you figure it out you feel so cheated by nature and by the human races unwillingness (until now) to research and find fixes for or even acknowledge this problem. Being able to get my old self back without huge dramas is very important and this is by far the best simplest online dr experience I’ve ever had. I don’t want to go bak to my dr!!
I required new scripts and could not get into my own GP for over a week. The booking process was very easy, the call back time chosen and the call received. The doctor was very helpful, asked appropriate questions and provided the support needed. The cost is not covered. It is under $50.
My repeats had run out for my medication just before the weekend and my regular GP was not available. The process to get a prescription dispensed was very easy, efficient and affordable.
Was such a wonderful service. I received a call from the doctor when it suited me and received my escript with ease. Thoroughly recommend NextClinic and will use this service in the future.
Easy to use and almost instant, I forgot to get a renewed specialist referral letter from my usual GP and I needed to do it online last minute. I just put in all the relevant details and I had that referral letter in my inbox within two minutes. Couldn't have had a easier or faster experience if I tried!
My daughters doctor was friendly and thorough, and I appreciated the detail in the telehealth appointment. The website is easy to navigate, and the wait time for the call was minimal
