Immediately following settlement, we encountered systemic issues setting up basic online account access. Access credentials and access links failed to function, leaving us with zero visibility over our accounts, balances, or sub-account features. Despite filling out and returning required paperwork (including Business Access Nomination forms) and contacting customer support multiple times, the resolution process has been agonizingly slow and repetitive.

When managing trust-held investment properties, instant portal access and transparent financial management are non-negotiable. Being left completely in the dark after loan settlement while jumping through endless administrative hoops shows a major gap between Pepper’s sales front and their post-settlement operations.

If you are refinancing complex multi-property or trust portfolios, be prepared for severe administrative friction and poor post-settlement portal access."

Borrowed a substantial amount, Interest rates a bit higher (But Fair) but then again if you’re not a full doc conforming customer they are absolutely the best of a bad bunch if I may put it that way. I looked at the others. They provided an opportunity where the banks were too rigid. Would use them again (only if I had to) due to a higher rate but based on insider information given by people in the industry they strongly recommended against many other non prime lenders and there aren’t many. They tend to screw you post settlement as rates go down, but Pepper hasn’t. Never thought I wouldn’t refinance elsewhere 12 months after settlement, but have to say happy to stay on. Highly recommend Pepper if circumstances mean you can’t or don’t wish to go to one of the big 4 banks. Gotta give them credit when it’s due. My experience only DYOR.

aren't what MOST lenders considered enough to secure a loan with them. They refuse to look at my past history & take into account that I've always managed my loan repayments, even though my income isn't what they consider "acceptable". Pepper were different! they took the time to assess exactly what my financial situation was & my capabilities to service the loan. They even managed to get me some equity out of my home so I could do some renovations as well as giving me a better rate! I can't praise Pepper Money enough & in particular Maria, who helped me get the absolute most out of what I could borrow form them. Just AWESOME!!

every turn. During the 2022 rate cycle, they increased rates well above the RBA’s rises. I’ve clawed some of it back through repeated rate reviews, but they remain an extremely expensive lender with terrible IT, unusable internet interface and a smugness which is second to none.

I called again today for a rate review—my rate is still about 0.7% above market for comparable loans. They offered nothing. Instead, I was told (in a dismissive tone) “we don’t compete with banks,” followed by several minutes of arguing that my LVR was higher than it actually is—despite being given the correct calculation. This was their RETENTION team.

Shocking.

Pepper home loans are con artists, called them in December to let them know the situation on my repayments, and today I got a server for court documents through there solicitor. alot Pepper home loans. The letter was sent out on the 2nd of January 2026. This is just ridiculous, and on top of this the amount outstanding on the total loan that was issued by there solicitor is showing 10 times more adding more stress, the loan amount is only around $140,000 not $1,406,025.81 just ridiculous Pepper home loans.

Pepper Money need to change their commercials they don’t help out pensioners they don’t think we’re worthy of a low fixed refinancing home loan!!!

Just finalised a car loan with Pepper. Always have had a positive experience with their customer care team, who have always resolved any issues raised. Be aware that there is a 6 day wait to clear the title of car after final payment. But otherwise never had any concerns with the product. Show reply
