SG Fleet

The sentiment surrounding SG Fleet is highly polarised, characterized by a sharp divide between positive feedback for individual customer service representatives and severe dissatisfaction regarding administrative and financial management. While many users report excellent, helpful interactions with specific staff members, a significant segment of the feedback highlights systemic failures in communication, transparency, and financial accuracy.

Verdict
SG Fleet appears to be a company where individual service excellence is frequently overshadowed by systemic administrative incompetence and questionable financial transparency. While the frontline staff are highly regarded for their helpfulness, the frequent reports of "scam-like" financial behaviour, unexplained account deficits, and poor post-sales support suggest a high-risk environment for long-term lease management.
Would like to acknowledge the support received by Amelia Vong, SG Fleet Delivery Co-ordinator in facilitating delivery of my new Tesla Y with a very short turnround and while dealing with high volume of work. Amelia responded to my emails late at night and took necessary actions to ensure that my vehicle was able to be delivered at the earliest possible time which I appreciated and thanked her for. haven’t even received my novated lease car yet and I’m already deeply disappointed. Every single step of this process required me to follow up or escalate — nothing moved without me pushing. It took a month just to get a quote. It’s now been another two weeks since I signed and the lease was approved, and I still don’t have a settlement date.… Read more
Meanwhile the dealer is chasing me for settlement, which is embarrassing and completely out of my control.
I had no choice here — SG Fleet is my employer’s only approved provider. If you do have a choice, avoid this company.

My experience dealing with Devina was great. She answered my questions clearly and in a professional and coutious manner. I honestly rate her 5 stars and above. Show reply
I worked with Steven Brown (Novated Lease Consultant) and Steven Steen (Vehicle Delivery Coordinator) who made the purchase of my new Mazda 3 seamless. They were quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had. I had some unexpected delays in receiving my car, but they worked efficiently to ensure I got my car in the end - and it was worth the wait :) Show reply
Everything about this company is scam behaviour. At every step of the process they include extras in packages to fill their own pockets, this even includes things that don't apply to your car completely. If you ask to remove them, they sneak them back into the contract at a later date in the process. They also say that the 10.44% interest rate… Read more
is "a floating rate" and it "will change upon settlement" I can guarantee you having completed this process, that it does not change at all.
Avoid this company at all costs.

consultants all eager to get your business. That is where the good vibe ends unfortunately. As a first time user of a vehicle lease, I was heading into unchartered waters and I needed plenty of reassurances that I was doing things correctly. I would reach out many times, mainly by email at first. To say the wheels at SG Fleet move slowly is an understatement. Emails would often take up to 5-8 days sometimes longer for a reply. If you take the path of a phone call that too is often problematic, on hold for ridiculously long periods and never talking to the same person twice. I then had the misfortune of having the vehicle stolen in January and subsequently written off as a total loss by the insurance company (Vero, who where absolutely fantastic through the whole process) The process of getting answers out of SG Fleet of how things look going forward was trying to say the least. From the outside looking in, the problem seems to be that there are too many "teams", every stage has a team and getting an answer off anyone is really difficult. Perhaps a model they should consider is when you enter a lease you have a designated consultant and they stay with you right through the process. What is in place now just doesn't seem to work and causes anxiety in people like me who are really not too sure how this world of leasing operates.
Follow-up · Since i posted the initial review i have spoken to two colleagues who have been through the SgFleet sphere for vehicle leasing. I came away feeling slightly better as these two people experienced the same issues as i did. polite and helpful, and I am very satisfied about the experience. With no request from Jaime for a review, I am so happy about his service that I have decided to leave a positive review on my own accord.
Follow-up · The list was very easy to understand as it itemised every class of item. I received the email containing the list during my phone call to Jaime Garcia who ensured I had received it before ending the call. I made a claim for an air filter for my novated lease vehicle which was approved after a few days.
Unfortunately my experience was very poor and I wish I could go back and not have used SG Fleet. Overall, I found them misleading (vague answers and not answering questions directly). They are all over you when you're speaking with the sales team. … Read more
Once you sign the contract (well 2 contracts for me, see below) good luck getting in touch with anyone ever again.
- I was not given the 'fleet buying power' of SG Fleet as advertised and had to go buy my own car (via deposit) for the standard RRP.
- My vehicle was ready from the dealer within 3 days (registered to me) and SG Fleet took well over a week to finalise the payment and forced me to sign a new contract that is $650 more over the life of the lease even though I was told I will not pay a cent more than the original quote, that this was for 'administration purposes'. I confirmed the call was being recorded and that I won't pay a cent more but guess what came out of my bank account.
- Please note the big box with the $ amount that literally says 'Your fortnightly package cost' - Add 31% to that of what actually comes out of your pay as this is the post tax amount. I asked this question and it was not answered honestly.
- 3,000kms per year were shaved off my quote requirements.
- The interest rate went from 7.87% to 8.19% as a result of their delays whilst I waited for them to finalise the vehicle that was already allocated to me.
- The vehicle I purchased was a 2025 as per the VIN/VicRoads/dealer docs and I was forced into signing a contract for a 2026 model or I can't proceed and lose my deposit or have to purchase the vehicle outright.
- All the above issues I called about and was passed around and provided no answers.
- Good luck getting a call back/email reply once you are finished with the sales team, still yet to receive an actual email reply.
Overall, a terrible experience and I would never use them again. I made the mistake of saying it was my first time leasing and I believe they took advantage of me. The amount that comes out of my pay will total $97,630 over 5 years for a $67,000 car (yes aware that is pre-tax and Incl insurance/rego/tyres etc, no fuel as electric) and they still want $20,000 residual at the end if I want to keep it??? $117,630 over 5 years for a $67,000 car, next time I'll just buy it outright and save the $ and the hassle.
Follow-up · I've been asked by Product Review to provide a follow up review: I emailed SG Fleet as requested with a detailed list of my issues. They did clarify some minor things but were vague and won't help with the $650 overcharge and will "review and address this with (the call taker)." I was told someone will reach out to me about adjusting my yearly… Read more

I have decided to retire and decided to de-novate my lease. Kim P took my call and was an absolute delight to deal with. She was very efficient, explained the process and timelines. Lease salesperson excellent ! Helpful, good communication, matched the rate of another leasing company. Once the lease was signed, the service was not good. Main issue was a lack of communication. of the charger was outsourced to a company called Motor One. Once again communication was a problem. Couriers Please was the courier used by Motor One for delivery of the charger. No communication from SG Fleet, Motor One or the courier prior to attempted delivery, no communiaction after attempted delivery ( to be fair may have landed up in Junk/Spam or assumed suspicious by Avast and filtered out ) and delivered to a Post Shop agency outside the local area. After 5 weeks, the charger was located.

Avoid! SG Fleet won't pay for budgeted expenses if you have insufficient funds in your account. Which means the money is coming out of your pay but you still have to pay to run your car until you have sufficient funds for them to reimburse you. Jaime Garcia was very helpful, responding to my questions clearly and explaining the background for me to understand how to manage my lease and costings. I gave a 4 star review as it was unfortunately the third time I called SG Fleet with the same question as the other two times I called, I didn't receive the full information. I recently completed a lease for a new vehicle with SG Fleet via my workplace. It was not a great process. promptly on each occasion and often had to follow up multiple days in a row to get the answers on next steps. It seems their processes and teams are not all connected well. I have had the vehicle for 3 weeks and still do not have my insurance documents or my charge card for the EV Charging. The loan also increased the % rate due to their delays.

Very slow in processing. Despite all the approvals and processing from my employer, they are yet to settle. I wanted to buy a used car lined up everything almost 15-20 days back. One of several negative reviews I’ve made about SG Fleet since I leased a car through them (ordered the wrong car, took months to sort out the paperwork, didn’t pay the dealer’s invoice for weeks so the dealer wouldn’t release the car to me, sent me fuel cards that didn’t work etc.). This one is about a scuff mark on my bumper. I vaguely recalled… Read more
paying for minor scratch cover. Digging through layers on their website I eventually found I’d paid for “MDR Plus 4 Years”. No other information provided, and MDR doesn’t appear in a search of the SG Fleet website. ChatGPT found it meant Minor Damage Repair and provided a link to an SG Fleet webpage (apparently hidden from their own search tool) that gave some information but didn’t explain how you arranged a repair. Back to ChatGPT who suggested I try Schmick Scratch & Dent Assist. I downloaded the Schmick app, and logged in with the same email address I use for SG Fleet. Amazingly I found my car details were all preloaded so I was able to put in a repair request. My one star “terrible” review reflects my opinion of SG Fleets’s website.

I would strongly recommend going elsewhere. They were very quick to sign me up (borderline harassment) but once the documents were signed, contact from SG Fleet completely disappeared. been non-existent. Not once have they called to provide an update or explain where things stand. The excuse given is that they are “very busy,” but if that’s the case, they shouldn’t be taking on new customers. The lack of after-sales support is unacceptable.
Even the car dealership has expressed their frustration with SG Fleet’s poor service and advised that they do not want to continue working with them in the future.
There are plenty of other leasing companies out there. My previous lease was with Maxxia, and in hindsight, I should have gone with them again, this would have been resolved weeks ago.

Sales component of my dealing was superb and can't be faulted. Numerous quotes provided without fuss and followed up with calls to update on progress. Then there's the delivery. information provided and then when called out for changing stories throughout the process, again denied information they provided to me. Still no response to emails sent throughout (or to even confirm I received my vehicle) and could only contact via a general number instead of their own. Absolutely hopeless. Would give this aspect a negative score if possible.
Once I sourced a vehicle after delivery blew out from 2-3 weeks to 2-3 months (someone else's fault I'm told), the car was delivered in 2 weeks with minimal fuss. Again, still no follow up to confirm the car was received, or any other comms regarding the car being ready etc.
Really disappointing after a seamless first experience (again sourced my own car).

What should have been a straightforward process has turned into a frustrating waiting game. Based on my experience, sgfleet seriously needs to improve its communication, responsiveness, and overall efficiency.
Also I was originally quoted a finance rate of around 9%, only to be told later that the application had been declined, no evidence given, and then approved through another financier at a higher rate of around 10%. The lack of transparency around this process has left me with serious concerns.
Overall, the experience has been slow, inefficient, and frustrating. Based on my experience, I would not recommend sgfleet.
