another $53ish. I said that was fine since the job would be well under an hour. 

I was also told that I couldn't have a pick up time after 4pm as 4pm is the drivers final pick up time. So i had to use my annual leave to be at home at 1pm in time for the driver window as i finish at 3pm.

The driver called at approx 3:30pm and said they were far away and would be arriving a little before 5:30pm. I immediately called their switchboard and told them that because of their company screwing me around i wouldn't be paying a cent more if it went a little over one hour. The operator said they would leave a note on my booking (I wonder if that was also just talk or another lie)

I bought down most of the furniture myself while waiting for the driver to arrive so it would be as fast as possible. I also helped one of the men carry the remaining bookshelf down the stairs while the other man stayed in the truck. So i personally did a good chunk of the labour i had paid them for. 

The whole job took 40 minutes. At the end the driver then presented me with a bill for an additional $190. I said that I was told that the first hour was already covered but they insisted that I had to pay almost another $200, which I did as I had no choice at the time. 

So all up I was lied to initially about the cost,  i was lied to about the time that the job would be done at, and I did a lot of the labour I was paying them for. 

The reason I asked repeatedly if the initial cost included the first hour was because I knew that the job would be well under an hour as the delivery address was about a half a kilometre down the road. If I had have been told that a forty minute job was going to cost me $400 I would have never gone ahead with this service. I have paid them $100 for every ten minutes. Thats ridiculous. Not even medical specialists charge that much!

I would have preferred to walk the furniture down the road on a trolley myself before spending that amount of money with Two Men And A Truck. 

I am also wondering if the positive reviews have a legitimate.

I will be contacting them to get a full refund for the extra $190 I paid to the driver on the day. If they don't provide that then I will be contacting whatever government department i need to to let them know what this experience has been like and how I have been well overcharged for their service.

Do not use. Just hire professional removalist companies. They will be far cheaper and your experience will be far less stressful.

Caio and his team were fantastic to deal with and helped make the move into our new home so effortless given I am healing from a broken wrist. the entrance, the stairs — and even said they were in a hurry because they had a friend’s birthday party. I showed them exactly what needed to be moved: mainly large furniture such as a sofa, table, fridge, washing machine, bed, and a few additional items. When I made a light-hearted joke (“Hopefully you can do it in one hour”), they became extremely aggressive. They started bullying me, telling me to carry my own belongings, and speaking to me with hostility throughout the entire move. Their behaviour was so concerning that my brother, who was on the phone with me from overseas, told me to call someone for help. I had to ask a friend to come because the situation felt unsafe. Even after I reported the issue to the office, the disrespect continued. They moved very slowly, yelled at me repeatedly, and my friend and I had to help them carry items just to get the job finished. To make matters worse, they treated my belongings carelessly — almost all my furniture was scratched or damaged due to their lack of care. What should have been a simple move between Nundah and Clayfield (around 2 km — a 5-minute drive) ended up taking nearly 3.5 hours because of their behaviour and refusal to work properly. And at the end of it all, one of them finished by saying: “Let’s see if you can pay.” This experience was stressful, upsetting, and completely unacceptable. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Moving is already hard — being abused, disrespected, and left with damaged furniture is something no customer should have to endure.

Two Men and a Truck were so helpful, professional and on time. Extremely disappointing experience. I would not recommend Two Men and a Truck. I was given an estimate of around $500. TMAAT says my final cost was $2,170 — more than FOUR TIMES the estimate — yet I still had to physically help carry bags and boxes and then make multiple trips in my own car to finish the move. flights of stairs, a narrow driveway and a large double-door fridge, yet a third mover ultimately had to be brought in at additional cost. On the second truck run, they essentially took the fridge and two lamps despite other belongings remaining. I have photos showing the amount I subsequently transported myself.

Their aftercare/customer service has made an already stressful experience worse. I found the customer service extremely unprofessional, dismissive and difficult to deal with. Calls were dodged or passed around, and getting meaningful answers was incredibly frustrating.

I also dispute the circumstances surrounding payment. After I had already formally complained, a further $1,170 card transaction appeared on my account.

Their proposed resolution? $105, conditional on accepting it as full and final settlement. I refused.

I have retained the emails, booking records, photographs, bank records and their own GPS information and am now pursuing the matter through formal consumer channels.

More than four times the estimated cost and I still had to help and finish the move myself. I would never use this company again.

The removal men themselves were very pleasant and efficient, and did a good job. However, they arrived three and a half hours later than agreed, due to their truck breaking down. finish the job and had to return the following day to complete it. The remaining work required around three hours, which would have been completed on the day had they arrived on time.

I made it very clear, the day before they returned, that I would not be paying overtime, and that management should contact me directly if this was a problem. I also declined to sign the overtime agreement they presented on the morning of the second day. Despite this, the company is now hounding us to pay overtime for a return visit made necessary by their own vehicle breaking down. They even had the audacity to compare this to a scenario where I, as a doctor, would charge a patient extra for being late to their consultation - as if that would ever happen or were even an equivalent situation.

This is disgraceful behaviour from the company's aftercare team. I would not use this company again, nor would I recommend it to anyone.

subcontract to (Super Easy Storage) and the Estimation team there is a complete lack of communication. I was sent emails and SMSs addressed to my late brother despite asking for all correspondence to be addressed to me. I've repeatedly asked for a copy of the contract originally signed, and also for receipts (for money I paid) to be issued in my name. Hasn't happened.

Lucas & Blase moved us from our 3 bedroom property on 30 July. They were punctual, professional & courteous. They moved all our big furniture efficiently and with care. Nothing was damaged. They were also fantastic with my parrot! Would highly recommend. Show reply

Two men and a truck were fabulous in particular our moving team of Gus and Luke were totally professional, diligent, kind and beyond helpful in an emotional move for my 90 year old MIL. The boys were friendly, efficient, careful and good timekeepers. No problems with communication. Quote estimate was fairly accurate, timing was good, guys were very good about moving furniture around at new place, freshly painted walls and tight corners on staircase. Very happy with their work.

beyond by helping me with several last-minute items and even moving things I hadn't been able to pack. Despite this making them late for their next job, they never rushed me. They carefully assembled everything at my new place, and when I changed my mind about where I wanted some of the furniture, they happily moved it around with a smile instead of showing any frustration.

As a solo female, I've unfortunately had some negative experiences with male tradies in the past. Caio and Bernardo were the complete opposite—they made me feel comfortable, respected, and looked after, almost like having two big brothers helping me move.

I can't recommend Two Men and a Truck highly enough, especially Caio and Bernardo. If you're looking for movers who are professional, kind, and truly go the extra mile, these are the people to call.

I booked Two Men and a Truck on the Gold Coast for my apartment short distance move today and had a great experience. The guys arrived exactly on time, did a fabulous job and completed the whole move in less than 4 hours. Friendly guys, great problem solving and time management skills. I was pleased with service. They turned up on time. However, I had asked for packing but boys came without boxes and had to go and buy them from Bunnings. I also asked for the boxes you could hang your clothes in and Bunnings did not have any. I now have to unpack the clothes instead of just transferring them. did not finish until 7:15. But they had to come back again and make two loads which cost me a further $1000. But they (Gabriel and Emet) worked hard. I am in my new place and it will be nice when I have all boxes unpacked. Can’t find anything but it will improve.
