Customer service was really bad. They sent me an hour and a half out of my way to pick up a trailer that I could’ve picked up from five minutes away cost me time and money in fuel. Wish they had their computer systems working right? Wouldn’t recommend them.
The car trailer I borrowed towed really well, a lot of the times am sometimes half an hour late and I’ve never been penalised or hounded for more money to be paid. The staff on the phone are always friendly and courteous. Show details
When I picked trailer up from service station they gave me a broken trailer light cable and expected me to use it when most of the plastic housing and prongs where missing and wires exposed, then stated that’s the only cable with the rectangle connector piece I needed for my car. had working lights. Service station I picked up also didn’t supply any fittings for the trailer or d shackle etc. they were useless and really had no idea about the trailers or trailer safety. I finally got through to uhaul the following day after sending an email with photos attached but no response to my email. Then they had the drop off location 1hr and 15 mins away when the place I was going to ( was a 1 way hire) had numerous service stations with uhaul trailers and plenty of trailer spaces spare that I could of dropped trailer off at. The service station I did drop it off already had atleast 6 other trailers there. When asked if I could return it to a closer service station I was told it was impossible to. I was not offered a discount on the hire for the inconvenience I was told to upload receipts and they might refund what I paid for the trailer cable and d shackle. I told them I will keep everything because after this experience I am going to purchase my own trailer for future use.

my furnitures. He said no I wouldn’t worry about the rain I would more worry about the dust:/ anyway he didn’t have any other and I had to take that one. The road took me 7 days to get to Busselton in Perth. When I arrived the bottom of my bed and my couch was wet and the rest was full of dust. I have arrived one piece but all my stuff in the trailer is bad condition.
Do not risk your life and others life . 100% of their equipment are not road worthy and won't matter what happens to you they only care about their own vessel not your life or your belongings. or investigation team denies the fault on the equipment that you have noticed even if you are a AIS offcer yourself for 20 years .
If anything goes wrong with their equipment they will not hold any responsibility or liability towards your damaged belongings and they will try their best not to supply you the same type equipment even if you are stuck in the middle of nowhere. An absolute fraud.
My best advice is that , do not waste your money and do not hire a equipment from this company at all .
Booking process takes ages, asks you the same thing several times. Even asks if you've hired before and just doesn't use those details. Touch screen not very accurate or fast. Trailer not in good condition, had to do up all the bolts on the hitch. Missing R clip so just had to find something in the boot. If I hadn't caught the loose bolts I would have been in trouble. Booking process was great but the trailer was barely roadworthy. Tandem car carrier spare wheel was flat and wheel on one of the duals was wrong size and spun freely without touching the road. Handbrake did not work at all.

Was not totally happy with this hire. Trailer was very rough in appearance there was no handbrake on it there was a bulge in the right hand rear tyre luckily I was only going local. Tried to report it to the staff at the Fuel station no luck and when you try and make a report on machine it wants to charge your card so not a great system Show details

Car trailer towed very well. Hilux 4x4 on trailer towed by y62 patrol. One trailer tyre was 10psi lower than the others, which i pumped up and soare had a nail in it although held air. Show details
Spare tyre was bald and was held on by one bolt that was broken. It sheered off while travelling and flew out the back for a car to narrowly avoid. Frightening experience. Tried to speak to servo staff about ensuring it wasn’t hired again as it was a safety risk and they weren’t interested. Missing D shackle tie down points. Arrived to collect the trailer and it had a faulty indicator. The other trailer there had a flat tyre. The servo had contacted u hall about it, however it was still able to be booked online. Wasted my time and I was unable to use it. Had to contact regarding a reschedule Show reply

I hired a 3mt x 1.8 covered trailer brakes only worked on one side the trailer leaked and all our boxes got wet and some collapsed braking some of our breakables.

The uhaul staff helped out so much. The original trailer had several problems with it so uhaul staff member set me up with another one. I had to travel further to pick it up but they extended my hire time at no extra cost to me because of the inconvenience to me. I have used uhaul several times and will again in the future. Very friendly and accommodating staff members. Highly recommend uhaul. S.Richardson.
Very smooth experience in hiring an 8 x 5 trailer (29th July from Woombye branch) & the young lady assisting me - both in the office & hitching up the trailer - was great!
Easy to book. Easy to pick up. Easy to return. Everything you could ask for to help make moving home interstate a lot more manageable. U-Haul deliver on every front!

We started with hiring a trailer under Move yourself at Emerald Beach New South Wales after trying several trailer cables. None of them provided indicators and brake lights as the trailer is prepaid. The service attendance spoke to a trailer provider on the phone and then they hung up which left us with nothing to do other than to ring back again to see what could be organised by this time we’ve already lost 45 minutes of a higher time. We got onto a second sales person within the company who was also very helpful. His name was [Name Removed] but with no other trailers to provide to us we had no choice but to go to a sister company in Coffs. which was U-Haul. We had to again pre-pay for another trailer and we are waiting for our refund from the original Hire once we got into Coffs Harbour and picked up the trailer and done what we had to do on returning the trailer to the self check-in computer would not accept the registration of the trailer so another phone call was made to the office once again on confirmation from the attendant at the service station which was not at all interested in providing information to the trailer company confirmed the trailer was returned so the check-in was completed over the phone. All in all. I think the trailer providers are trying to do the right thing but the service stations are not interested. They’re not passing on if there’s defects therefore the next person hiring the same trailer at emerald Beach will have the same issues. I would’ve liked to have made more use of the trailer that we had by the time we got the trailer and done what we had to do. We just wanted to get it back and have nothing more to do with it.
Never again I’m still waiting for the credit which I’ve been told will take five days which is fair enough but I can’t help feel there’ll be another phone call made

schedule even further I called the u haul call centre to let them know about the issues and that we would now be late returning the faulty trailer and she proceeded to charge me an extra $40 for being late I asked if she could waver the extra fee as it was not my fault the trailer was not serviced correctly The answer was NO and tried to blame me for overloading the trailer I also don’t think the trailer brakes were working witch made It very difficult and dangerous in peak hour traffic Worst experience ever I will be filing a report to QLD transport as this is not the first faulty trailer I have hired from u Haul , they are a safety hazard that needs to be dealt with
