We rented a Hyndai i30 hybrid from Redspot in Prosperpine Qld. Staff member, Shan, did a great job. We were well informed about the terms of the rental and were on our way very promptly. The car fulfilled our needs perfectly and checking it back in to Shan two days later was a breeze. Disappointed that I left something in the vehicle and despite calling within 24 hours of dropping it off, my property had mysteriously vanished. Follow-up · Car return process was a breeze. I returned outside hours using the key drop off. Fuel policy was clear as day. Full out - full in. D'uh pick up location is across the road from the domestic terminal in Melb. So it is also in Brisbane. Both 100m walk or so.

understanding that it would be this type of vehicle or similar at pick up) When we arrived to pick up our car (or similar) and we were given a smaller sized vehicle. We questioned it and the counter staff advised us that they don't have that particular vehicle at their site. I questioned, why it was advertised as being available at the Gold Coast airport and they stated that they had no idea. Other then this issue, we would look at booking them again. The car we received was new and clean.

After calling various of the different numbers for Redspot office and outlets where most of the calls (at least 15) just rang out, I finally got to talk to two different people from two different cites who told me they couldn't help but would get the Melbourne airport branch to follow up with me...I never heard anything. Only after an email saying I'd formally complain to Vic Consumer Complaints did I get a phone call from a very helpful gentleman from yet another different outlet who helped out and arranged a refund of the overcharge. Unfortunately this was the last time I'll use Redspot.
First of all the customer service is terrible no coordination nothing, I returned my car back at the airport and they still emailed me saying we haven’t received the car. It’s been so many days i still haven’t received my refund back. Other car rental brands just give you back the refund right at the spot. in the world laughed at my face, because I should know Redspot is not with Enterprise anymore. I didn't know they were separate companies. And I didn't know the data Redspot had would no longer be available. He didn't care and didn't take the time to explain that to me which made me angry. Second because now I would be considered a new customer, I had to pay a $1000 dollars deposit. Worse again, they are not holding the deposit . And reimbursing not at the end of the lease, but it may stay up to 2 weeks in their account ( its been 3 weeks now and the money hasn't hit my account yet ). All in all, I would not recommend Redspot to anyone.
