Black & Decker – Got the vacuum recently...Inefficient suction .. it less effective in picking up dirt and debris.Dustbin Capacity is Smal.Limited Battery Life.... very unhappy with the device.
Save your money – Literally the worst thing I’ve ever bought. Save your money. Show details
Battery just does not last – Our battery has lasted about 2 years, would replace it if I could find a replacement! I actually found it worked quite well but I would have expected a bit more battery life given it was only used once a week for a quick vacuum. Worked well on timber but not as well on my rug, but it was acceptable. Son has the same one that he has owned for about… Read more
3 years with no issues so I guess it is just luck of the draw. Having said all I would buy Black and Decker again
Great Stick Vacuum – I replaced an expensive Dyson stick vacuum with this model. I cost about 1/3 as much so I didn't have high expectations. So far, it has lasted longer than the Dyson did and has done, overall, a better job. It picks up small litter and cat fur quite well and the battery lasts long enough for me to run over most of the house in one go. The… Read more
machine is light and with the extension wand and foot fitted it's very maneuverable. The rubbish catcher is only small however that's fine as it just needs emptying after every use - which is easy to do. In my experience, this machine does what it was designed to do and has been a far better purchase than the more expensive 'bells and whistles' Dyson.
Complete waste of money – I purchased this Black and Decker cordless vacuum cleaner from Big W for $229 in April this year. What a complete waste of money! It doesn't pick up very well and gets clogged with dirt in the head and the pole as well as where the stick meets the chamber, so you're constantly pulling it apart to clean. The battery doesn't last long enough, even… Read more
on medium, to do the house. Low is completely useless and high speed lasts no time at all. But the worst part is when the battery runs out or you turn it off it drops a big pile of dirt all over the floor!!! I wouldn't purchase any Black and Decker products after my experience with this cordless vacuum cleaner.
Very Worst – Without doubt the most difficult vacuum I have ever used.Attachments are so hard to piece together and requires a strong man to pull and push to assemble.Battery takes very long time to charge and stops without any notice.I will never spend another dollar on a black and decker product and feel I was 'conned' into spending the $200 for a dud! Terrible, won't last longer than 18 months as this is m5 second replacement – Vacuum says full charged, turn it on and maybe 5 minutes of vacuum on low and then dies. Won't charge, dies and no replacement battery. Customer service tells me the warranty is from the oringal date purchased not replacement Show details
Don’t waste your money – I’ve owned this vacuum for about 1-2yrs now. Since the start I’ve had issues with this vacuum (Also side note: I work as a cleaner, I use vacuums every day, I understand the importance of cleaning out filters and other parts of the vacuum). 1) the dust catcher constantly comes undone while vacuuming (even while not full) 2) the wheels fill quickly… Read more
with dust and bits, also not easy to remove, so it doesn’t glide across the floor anymore. 3) Dust constantly blocks the join between vacuum foot and pole. 4) dust constantly blocks the vacuum pole; because of this you’re always pulling the whole vacuum apart to clear it out. Sometimes twice within one vacuum. I own a Border Collie and a longer haired cat, plus my partner and I have long hair. We also bring in a lot of bits from outside… If you don’t have pets and your a very, very clean person, this vacuum is likely perfect for you. Otherwise I wouldn’t bother buying. (The one positive I can give is it’s actually GREAT on CARPETS.) I use Dyson stick vacuums all the time and I think they are worth every cent!
Shocking design fault – We bought this specifically because it was pet hair compatible and to replace an aging Dyson. Worked fine for a couple of days then the filter clogged light came on. Except every time we emptied the vacuum there was very little dirt. We discovered the main tube was completely blocked from the power head all the way up the main tube. After removing… Read more
with a long rod we tried again and it clogged after about 10 minutes. This vacuum is definitely NOT pet hair compatible. The tubes are too narrow to allow free suction and the dirt container is way too small. Only redeeming feature is when completely empty it worked better than our Dyson, BUT clogs easily and quickly. May return for a refund.
Returning it after 1hr of owing it – I brought this today and every 10 seconds the filter blows off throwing all the dirt back over the floor again. I have checked and removed several times but I can’t even use it! What a waste of money, do not buy!!! Show details
What a bargain – Had been looking for a stick vacuum to clean the floor as well as the car. Saw this when bigw had a sale and I bought this for less than $140. I bought a Dyson v6 for my mum before and my sibling has a v7 so I have used the Dyson vacuums. This Black & Decker is such a gem! It is highly efficient and does the job as great as the Dyson ones. It has… Read more
a floor sensor which changes the suction power accordingly. The only downside is the emptying bin bit, the Dyson one is easier with the one button feature. This Black & Decker vacuum is a fantastic product if you're looking for something simple and efficient. It's not as stylish and fancy like the Dyson ones but for the amount of money I spent, I'm more than happy to keep it!
Better than a Dyson – We have used a Dyson V6 slim for the last 2 1/2 years but was getting frustrated with all the hair getting clogged up in the brush . When the head broke for the second time, Dyson charged $125 for a replacement. On the hunt for something different but still a hand stick we came across the Black & Decker 2 in 1 Pet Stick. Not only was it half… Read more
the price of a Dyson but I would rate it better than a Dyson in all aspects: Brush is rubber and very little hair or dust gets caught up in it. Bin is easy to empty and clean. Battery allows me to vacuum for over 30 minutes compared to 14 minutes for a Dyson. Only needs a full charge once or twice a week compared to every day. The filter is perfumed therefore it leaves a gorgeous smell after vacuuming. The head swivels around furniture with ease. The power changes from normal to turbo automatically depending on the surface its cleaning. My house is all floorboards and tiles but i have mats around the house and it automatically shifts into turbo mode. Will definitely recommend this vacuum.

Poor battery life & ridiculously long charge time – Purchased this vacuum to use on my tiled floors. Suction is great & the pivoting head makes it easy to get into the area under my table and chairs. The let down of this vacuum is the short battery life and extremely long recharge time; I could excuse one or the other but not both. One other thing is that the head of the vacuum no longer spins so it's becoming more difficult to maneuver around. I've taken it all apart but no dice. Show details
Great vacuum-shame about the smell – Great vacuum ! shame about the appalling perfumed filter. Its truly horrible and we cant find a replacement filter that doesn't fill the room with the smell of cheap toilet cleaner. That said the suction, weight and manouverability of this dust buster come vacuum cleaner are fantastic for the price. Show details
Excellent suction – This is my first Stick vacuum, I was a bit sceptical buying it. Love how light weight this is and how the swirl head mauvers corners. Charges very fast and food for apartments for storing away. Come apart easily and putting together is not a hassle. Best product for the money paid. Show details
Absolutely awesome – Strong pick up, swivel foot head for easy movement around furniture, automatic sensor for different flooring, very compact and light weight. Great for your back... Also becomes a duster buster for hard to reach places.. Super fast charging and no messy cords. Wouldn't live with out it now i own one. Show details
The perfect companion – This is a great vacuum cleaner for small and medium-size jobs. It has an automatic turbo function that boosts suction to the next level when moving from hard floors to carpets. The multiple accessories it comes with (we got the extra brush which is smaller in size) make this the perfect companion. Show details
I love it! – I was hesitant to spend that kind of money on what is essentially just a dustbuster, when what I really need is a good vacuum. I was skeptical but now I am convinced... It's both. I named mine Buzz Lightyear because it looks and feels like a toy but doesn't realise it. Show details
Not bad – I have been advised to purchase it from a friend. I have a big carpet and this machine did the job very well . It is very light and not noisy at all easy to maneuvre so cheap in comparison to dyson one thing that i didnt like is her running battery is only 20 mins otherwise everything is good Show details
Great stick vacuum – This 2 in one pet friendly stick vacuum has been a terrific addition to my home, it is very lightweight and easy to use, the filter can get a little dirty though even after one clean, it is very deceptive for a battery operated unit that has as much power as an ordinary vacuum cleaner, very happy with purchase. Great Unit – For a little machine this vaccuum is awesome. The sucking ability is great and has exceeded our expectations. It is easy to maneuver around the floor and furniture making cleaning a breeze. Its works on both our tiles and carpet. The only downside to the unit is it only has a 20 min battery life Show details

Brilliant – I had been using a Dyson stick vacuum for a long time and after experiencing significant issues with its weight when lifting it to clean hard to get at surfaces and other equally annoying features I decided to look around for an alternative replacement. I came across this cheap efficient machine by accident. Not only is it a quarter of the price,… Read more
in my humble opinion it is more efficient, lighter and easier to use. I store it snuggly mounted on the laundry wall. It magically moves from hard tiled floors to carpet with ease and it automatically bumps up the power when it hits the carpet. It does not trap hair around the floor attachment in the same way as the Dyson and I find the motor more powerful, believe it or not.
It is more efficient cleaning the car in hard to reach crevaces which should not be surprising given Black and Decker were the first to make detachable vacuums I was told by the salesperson who was promoting the Dyson. My only criticism is the harsh chemicals used in the optional pre-scented filters. These chemicals are dangerous for those suffering from allergies like me ... but as distinguished, it is optional. Do not make the mistake I made and open the foil package! Well done Black and Decker, this machine is a quiet achiever.
This product is perfect. Great suction and i have been using it everyday – Yes, I am happy with the product performance and the suction. It is easy to use and can be easily maneuver. I am using it for spot cleaning in the kitchen and living on floor tiles and carpet in the rooms. It has intelligent sensor which changes the mode to turbo when used on the carpet. Show details
Decent but could be better – I’m a bit netruel with this product as I’ve had a few issues with it. I did have an issue where the part was faulty and had to be taken back but the good guys were great they replaced the whole vacuum with a new one. It needs to be cleaned it quite frequently but other than that it’s decent. Its pretty loud though which is a downfall but easy to use and light weight which is great Show details
Awesome cheaper option – Was looking for cordless vacuum cheaper than a Dyson so thought we would try this one and so far so good it's powerful and does everything we wanted it for we have a dog that loses a lot of hair this time of year and it has no issues cleaning it all up Show details
Good as long as it worked – Worked great, very powerful on carpet and wooden floor, thought I made a catch. Easy to handle and manoever. However, less than 3 months on, rarely used, some charger error. Charger lights blinking, but won't charge. No trouble shoot sector in manual. Have to take it back. Waste of time and money. Not bad for $100 – Common sense was not used when this vacuum was made. Small attachment for hand held no place to attach when not being used need to stick in pocket. Collection bin is to small have to empty constantly. When you take off the attachment and put the brush down vacuum will not pick up anything. Could use more power. I bought on line for $85 plus $14 shipping. That is all its worth.
Almost perfect – Purchased this product only a few days ago, but can already say it has been well worth while. On both carpet and hard surface flooring the suction has proven to be more than adequate, although not quite strong enough to remove dog hair from car seat, but not even an industrial model can do that. Placing the sections together can prove difficult… Read more
although not impossible, other small niggles are dust collection chamber pops out after you have emptied dust and seems to do so 4-5 times before it engages properly will also add here that as the chamber is rather small, l empty after each use, although not really necessary. The detachable hand held vac has a brush attachment, however if this is left on the nozzle, when you return the main body of the machine, it becomes stuck in the pipe, leading to vacuum head. Had to return to store to have removed, which was no problem, but the brush has to be removed each time and there is no housing to keep it, so in a nutshell being quite small in size, will undoubtedly, be lost over time.
