Awesome Service. Perfection – When I was in need, CarCoop came through. They are true to their words that I can assure you. Was really in need of a car and the process from inquiry to drive off was so smooth I couldn’t believe it. Nigel and the team are awesome and because of that am driving a brand new car. I will always recommend anywhere I go.

I do not write reviews ever but this is just those looking for a reputable car place. This company appears to have significant communication issues between the call centre and the branch managers. After waiting 2.5 weeks for a vehicle, I was provided with a small car that had multiple problems, including a faulty brake light and a locking system… Read more
that automatically locks while driving and unlocks when you walk away with the key. The new vehicle was also handed over in an unsatisfactory condition, with visible stains and crumbs remaining from the previous owner or the last user of the vehicle.
In addition, after hearing several inconsistent explanations during the wait, I just had to review customer feedback and found many similar concerns regarding customer service. One review even noted that the company refused to return a customer’s $600 sunglasses, which is particularly concerning. Overall, the negative reviews appear to outweigh the positive.
While I do like the vehicle I ultimately received , I will be arranging an independent inspection to ensure there are no underlying issues and to avoid potential problems in the future. I will post some photos to show this is a general review as google seems to delete reviews.

Dear [Name Removed]/CarCoop Pty Ltd, Re: Serious Faults with MG ZS 2023 VIN: [Details Removed]Contract Signed on the 24th of April 2025. from work, with other moving vehicles in traffic. The handbrake light would activate once the car was in motion and stay on until the car was turned off but then would display again when the car would be in motion; it was always active while driving which resulted in creating serious safety hazards. The caps were also missing from all tyres upon pick up, which I understood was not a big issue to CarCoop but considering I was entering a 4 year contract for the value of 50k, I was determined to get my moneys worth. The back covering was also missing upon collection and the consultant just casually removed one from another vehicle and placed it in the vehicle I was taking; not very professional, in my opinion. I was also in touch in regards to the rust spots that were getting bigger by the day and was told "no problem, that's just an aesthetic matter, can paint over it" and scratches too, once again I just entered a 4 year contract and was not happy with the aesthetics. Another issue too was the busted headlight, I already know it can be a quick fix too but I also know the prices vary between 50 to 100+ which again in my opinion; not very professional and already ripping off the consumer. Over 3 months June/July/ August, I've communicated these issues to you without resolution:
DATES THAT I TRIED TO GET HELP
*Please note that these are not the only dates I have, I have more but these are the most significant. I also have the call logs saved which show the dates and duration of calls.

I was in touch with [Name Removed] (Rockdale branch manager) and he had told me in the month of May that there will be a vehicle ready for me to rectify the situation within 2 weeks and when I got in touch with him after the 2 weeks he had informed me that he thought the other lady he spoke to was me and had given her the vehicle I was waiting for. Very unprofessional and I told him, I'll wait for this to be sorted out again and he responded with "I'll see what can be done" (this was an audio call) I continued to remind him that this was an error on CarCoops behalf so why did I have to keep waiting? -[Name Removed] from accounting also got in touch with me when my account was arrears (I had called earlier around June and said that I will not be paying another cent until my issues were dealt with) but I sorted out a payment plan and then I asked once again, what about my issues? He responded "that's not our problem ma'am, you signed the contract". He then proceeded to tell me that if I wanted to "upgrade/swap" my vehicle I would have to sign another contract, pay another deposit and pay more, then something could be done and when I refused and clearly stated that I was not looking for an upgrade, I was looking for a solution for CarCoops error, he laughed. These are only a couple of the dealings that I've had to deal with. -I informed [Name Removed] (senior accountant) that I couldn't pay my 2nd payment due to the loss of My Mum and she simply said, you still need to pay. I was willing to double up the next payment because I just lost my Mum for crying out loud. I gave plenty of notice if there was any issues with my pay and still no help but I done the best I could, considering I just buried my Mum. -In October I lost 2 family members suddenly and informed [Name Removed] about the loss and said I will do whatever needs to be done to get on top of payments, he said pay him ALL arrears or the car will be repossessed. I didn't have the energy to keep fighting with a company that clearly has no care factor for their consumers so I let the car go and was met with "IF not paid then return me the car to our Rockdale location or I will place your file with debt collectors to seek $10k + as per my contractual right". These are only some of the communications between myself and CarCoop.
I have been informed from my legal counsel and doing my own research that under The Australian Consumer Law (The ACL) provides protection for consumers, including rights to remedy for faulty goods including either a replacement or a full refund. Given the significance of this matter, compensation can be rewarded for losses directly caused by faults by the situation, it also seems that CarCoop have breached the contract with the vehicle supplied with faults that impacted the safety and functionality which was obviously my major safety concern.
The vehicle didn't meet acceptable quality standards (s54) and wasn't fit for its intended purpose (s55), constituting a breach.
I want to also specify too, that CarCoop Pty Ltd was the first to breach the contract, not myself. CarCoop breached the contract by not only providing me and my family with a faulty vehicle but also not doing anything about the faulty vehicle putting our lives in danger. I started raising my concerns dating back to the 26th of April and CarCoop has knowledge of providing a faulty vehicle and NOT fixing the matter.
I want to request for all means of communication to end with me. No more emails/phone calls and text messages. The contractual agreement with erroneous and inaccurate faults from [Name Removed] and CarCoop to be terminated. If unresolved, I will seek a full refund of $2539, every cent I spent on the vehicle considering the vehicle's significant defects and ongoing safety risks and the equivocation that CarCoop Pty Ltd could be trusted not only with the provision of a road worthy vehicle but also the safety of mine and my family's lives while we were in a vehicle provided by CarCoop.
I have lodged a complaint with Fair Trading and have been informed that they will take care of matters moving forward.
Please confirm receipt of this email and proposed actions.
Sincerely,
Helen Peniamina.

I had a car with them years ago and were very happy. They have now decided to employ some very old school debt collection tactics that went out the window with Robodebt. Yes your car will be switched off, yes you will be spoken to rudely, yes they will choose to ignore texts and continue to bombard you with threats even after switching it off.… Read more
Cannot understand their own contract which states they can't take further action until you are over 7 days overdue. Your car will be switched off at a random day from the day of non-payment and they will threaten 'further action' before the 7 day period. Know your rights and don't let them make you feel bad. Block the number and ask for all communication to be via email. Report them. They are making a lot of money off poor people and it should show in their service. The car arrived with one flat tyre they offered to replace but only if I could take it to North Lakes. It also had a major electrical fault and I had to catch the train to the middle of nowhere to pick it up. Be ready for all that.

Carcoop Team have their flaws, you will deal with a person who is outright rude and then someone who is understanding of your situation. My review is based on my experience as a whole. I have had carcoop car for a few months, 2weeks after I got it i lost my job, i used my payout to keep up with payments but missed 1, spoke to my account manager he… Read more · 1
was amazing and understood my situation, I then paid that back and continued my regular payments. Then my account was hacked (NAB) and I wasn't able to make payment, the lady I spoke too was rude and did not care at all, I was crying on the phone, no empathy, nothing, just wanted payment or give car back. I borrowed money from family and payments were back in motion. However my bad experience is not with carcoop it is with NAB, after my account was hacked they have made depositing, withdrawing of my funds so difficult leading me to make manual payments to carcoop costing more money, and leading my account ro be overdrafted, and I still don't have a job. Now I have no choice but to give car back. Statement to carcoop, if someone has missed a payment and then pays it back 2-3 days later or even a week later but communicates with you, don't abuse them over the phone everyone is going through something don't add to that. 5stars for my account manager, he was amazing!!
Great customer service – Great customer service, I first dealt with Jeremiah with the application process and he was very helpful and polite, answered all my questions. There's one issue I would raise with the process and would like others to be aware of; you don't actually get to test drive any of the cars you're approved for or the one you end up choosing.
I was given the option of 4 different cars, each only had about 4 pictures to go off. The next step was to select which car I wanted to go with (based only off the pictures), once I chose the car I was interested in, I received the contract via email to sign and send back, which I did. So I signed up for a car I hadn't physically seen or been inside of yet.
Unfortunately for me, I've chosen a car that I don't particularly like, and I very rarely drive it (I hope to upgrade it in 6 months (as long as the car remains in the same condition and my payments remain up to date and on time) if approved).
I would still definitely recommend them, especially for those with bad credit history like me. I just want anyone applying to be mindful that you won't know what type of car you'll get until after you've signed everything and leaving the car yard.

Update to my review. Since having an issue with the car I have. Ive spoken to Chris from car coop head office who was quick to assist me and hear my concerns. We have resolved the issues at hand. However, now 2 weeks later, I have had staff issues again, which I will be speaking to Chris again as he appears to be the only person who is helpful and understanding. Show details
This company did nothing but waste my time. I am an average income earner (say $68’000/year), without any loans, debts or large expenses, I am also fortunate to be up roughly $26’000/ year as I don’t have any accommodation expenses to pay for (roughly rentals in my area start at $500/week) and more than half my weekly income is disposable. couple weeks of background negotiations that I was not involved in, and after countless conversations and documents provided, they eventually said they couldn’t provide service to me. No apologies for keeping me in the dark, no real or explainable reason, and given the customer service team were Philippine, they don’t really handle conflict or confrontation very well, they just cut you off.
So I thought I would share my experience so other people can choose to conduct business with these people or decide to avoid the hassle and time waste.

The MG cars they offer are $239 per week for four years which ends up being close to $50,000 in total for a car that you can pick up for well under $20,000. That’s a house deposit. attached to it. Their cars have relatively high kms and their four free servicing are capped at $150. You also have to use their mechanic , which is not ideal if you do not live on that side of the city. For the price you will pay for the vehicle, you should be able to use any mechanic you like. By the end of your contract, it is at their discretion if they give you the vehicle for the $1 buyout. By this time the car would have depreciated significantly in value.

Very small radius of service – Unfortunately, I wasn't able to be approved as I live 2 hours away from "Adelaide Suburbs" which kinda sucks. something that I prefer. Some places don't even have the option or advise of an email address so that's a positive for CarCoop to at least supply an email address to speed up your application.
Very easy to apply in my opinion, also the responses were very quick.
I was heavily looking forward to this and being able to have a late-model car after money3 has ruined my credit history by not showing my repayments. (No defaults, they just leave an enquiry and don't list accounts paid like banks and my credit card do so it looks like I have applied for many loans and never got one even though I have have 7 with them)
I was going to use this service till Money3's footprints had left my credit file so I could get a low-interest loan with my bank.
this product would have been 100% perfect if their coverage was larger.
I will say, their website is very easy to navigate. I feel that the pricing is pretty good too compared to the interest I would have paid with Money3 (24.95%)
Hopefully, one day, if they expand their radius, Ill be able to delete this review and leave another one.
