The sentiment surrounding DAI Post is overwhelmingly negative, characterized by severe frustration regarding non-delivery, poor communication, and perceived incompetence. While a segment of users praises specific customer service representatives (notably Erika and Jenny) for their persistence in resolving issues, the majority of feedback indicates a systemic failure in the "last mile" delivery process.

DAI Post is currently a high-risk courier service for Australian consumers, primarily due to unreliable delivery drivers and a lack of accountability once parcels enter their local network. While their administrative support staff can be helpful in a crisis, the high frequency of lost items and "ghost" delivery attempts suggests that using this service for valuable or time-sensitive goods is not advisable.
Horrendous experience, they didn't deliver the parcel and gave no tracking notification at all. After emailing them multiple times and getting useless responses I rang them and they said they had missing delivery details but all the delivery details were correct and available to them. They then said they'd deliver it, again I got no notification… Read more
and despite delivery to a manned office reception they said they tried and no one was available to take delivery which is ridiculous. I again tried emailing and no response and had to call again to try and resolve it. Still waiting for my parcel over a month later .
It is indeed a pleasure to deal with such a profoundly friendly & courteous Business who have always been prompt to respond to any enquiries with regard to any deliveries that were unable to be delivered , such Businesses need to be acknowledged to others with great respect. so poor not even going to rate with a single star (ouch! unfortunately was forced to issue a star rating). absolutely pathetic, complete ineptitude at its finest have been awaiting a parcel that arrived in Melbourne a week ago and so far its been doing the rounds of Melbourne (that of each and every update is 'on its way, almost there'), and each… Read more
and every update states Melbourne, lets just say not even close it supposed to be delivered in Tasmania. as so this package has been doing the rounds since early July in the USA with its US partner. this is the second item that they've been involved with and the previous item took 40 days to eventually be delivered (so bad the shipper/supplier refunded, both myself and the manufacture.

DAI Post delivers to the Blue Mountains on behalf of DHL. Package was from the US. Unprofessional and lazy. Driver walked out in thongs, took a photo of our letterbox then instead of using the path to the front door, he just threw the parcel from the footpath. Show details

Fake deliveries – If I could give a zero I would. I have never heard of DAI and I hope to never have to hear of them again. After an ‘unsafe to deliver’ notification on the tracking, I was surprised, if someone had rung the door bell I would have had a notification. I checked the front gate camera and confirmed no one attended the property. After hours on hold… Read more
to DAI listening to the worst hold music, I was assured delivery instructions would be relayed and that I would receive a call on mobile when delivery is made.
4 days later I’m at home all day and notice another ‘unsafe to leave’ remark on the tracking from 20mins prior. I checked the cameras and no one had attended the property nor did anyone call me. I call DAI to ask if the courier can return and deliver. I was told I would receive a call back within half an hour. Two hours later I call DAI back and am told I will be contacted end of day. When I am emailed I received no update other than sorry. And I still have no idea when or if I will receive the parcel.
To top off the lack of receipt of parcel what has frustrated me possibly the most is having to listen to the attached hold music over and over for hours. Screams of some upper management disconnected employee who thought it would be funny, it’s only funny to say ‘I’m on hold, I hope it’s not all day’, ‘sitting here in my own for days’ if you actually have short wait times. What a way to make fun of customers
This company is extortionate!! They charge customs clearance and handling on a delivery that falls below the customs threshold, I believe they are pocketing the money. I have attached a screen shot of the last email sent to me yesterday. I have called and got an answer service in the Philipines, and have no interest in customer service. I am about… Read more

Rating: 0 out of 5 stars Title: Ignored instructions and dumped my parcel on a public floor — resulted in theft. Review: If I could give zero stars, I would. I use an Australia Post Parcel Collect address specifically to ensure my deliveries are kept secure. Before my package from the US was delivered. First, they got my address wrong,… Read more
essentially part of the address was missing, so my parcel was not delivered. I contacted them asking why - they did not contact me. I contacted this courier with explicit instructions that the delivery must be physically handed to the post office staff so it could be safely held for my collection, after I present my identification.
Instead, the driver and the company completely ignored my instructions and basic common sense. Rather than handing it over to the staff members inside, they just dumped the box on the floor in a highly trafficked, public lobby outside the post office. As you can see in the attached photo, which this delivery company sent to me as proof of delivery no less, they literally just left it sitting on the floor for anyone to take. Unsurprisingly, because it was abandoned in a public access area, my parcel was stolen. I have sent them emails reporting this, but I have not received an email reply, just being ignored. This is gross incompetence and completely unacceptable service. Do not trust this company with anything valuable—even if you give them clear instructions, their drivers will not follow them.
Absolutely rubbish, I got a notification saying it had been delivered which it had not been. I later called customer service to request proof of delivery images only to see they had delivered it to the complete wrong address! In a different street! Pray for your package if you see its being sent by DAI Post. Show details
Was home the entire day, did not ring the intercom but tracking only advised me 2 hours later of delivery but low and behold, it was not there anymore. Unfortunately stolen in this case, if only they rung my intercom, I would’ve gone down to receive it. Show details

Driver delivered empty bag and this company wants to take 48 hours to investigate this. My package came from the uk so had customs clearance on the bag with contents listed and $ value. See the photo below the driver provided as evidence he's delivered it. Appalling service. Show details
I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with DAI Post after purchasing an item from the US that was handed over to them for Australian delivery. The parcel was never delivered, yet the company repeatedly refused to acknowledge this. Instead, I spent weeks going back and forth via email with customer service, constantly being told the matter… Read more
was “under investigation.” I was regularly promised responses within 24 hours, only to wait a week or more each time. Eventually, they stopped responding altogether for extended periods.
After weeks of this, they suddenly claimed the parcel had been delivered. When I replied explaining that it absolutely had not been delivered, they sent me a screenshot claiming the receiver (me) had confirmed delivery — which I most certainly did not.
To make matters worse, they later added a “delivered” status to the tracking history, but the timestamp appeared inconsistent with previous updates and even conflicted with dates mentioned in their own emails of when it had been delivered. As you can see from the screenshots, they claim the parcel was delivered on the 11/4, 14/4 and on 22/4. They failed to deliver the parcel, and refused to even acknowledge that they had, instead, opting to lie and say I myself had confirmed it had been delivered.
Based on my experience, I would strongly avoid using this company if possible.

Delivery was fast for my senior bag i appreciate them emailing me back and ensuring i got it! Show details
DAI served as Final Mile Carrier. There was a SNAFU in the delivery, and on talking to customer service, the delivery coordinates indicate a misunderstanding of the address. However said customer service person, one Jella Nabua, was able to track the first package, and have both it and another that was also coming through DAI's system properly delivered. Show details
Tracking details had my parcel at their Welshpool depot since 4th of March 2026. I followed up with a query on the 14th of March asking what's going on with it. 23rd, and got an email back saying they got an "IMPORTANT update" - its still under investigation (see photo attached).
20 days of the parcel reaching their depot and 10 days of investigation, and they will not admit they've misplaced my parcel, just keep dragging on saying it under investigation. Poor effort and poor communication and doesn't want to take responsibilities.
THE SINGLE WORST DELIVERY COMPANY IN AUSTRALIA. Ordered package from Texas, via DHL on 14DEC last year. Cleared customs on Boxing Day. Handed to DAI. Groan. This is far from ideal. My mental health is about to get royally wrecked here. Supposedly delivered 'where I can find it' (here's a suggestion, how about the CORRECT address.) Tracking… Read more

Enquired about this in early February as I thought it might have been a glitch, and working its way slowly through the delivery system. [Name Removed] from DAI Post was incredibly unhelpful but amazingly whipped up a proof of delivery in NINE freaking DAYS (note: NOT my letterbox, second note: could have walked parcel from Sydney to Canberra at a quicker pace). Without even checking if this was satisfactory, she promptly closed my case, wanting to wipe her uncooperative hands of a job 'well done' (I'm sure she patted herself on the back and was given a bonus, in a place where she can find it).
AVOID AVOID AVOID. This company is an absolute joke.
Left my parcel on top of the mailbox, there was plenty of space inside. Anyone could have taken it. Show details
Delivery driver failed to deliver stating "unsafe to leave". Letterbox in question is a large steel locked box with the address labelled on it. help them with delivery. That was 6 days ago. Haven't heard a peep from them since. Have been monitoring the tracking and emailed them reminders. Still not a word. DAIpost is working as a subcontractor to the freight company the international seller chose. I have contacted the seller as they need to know that their freight company is using unreliable subcontractors.
It's not been 7 days since it was "unsafe to leave". There is a good chance they have now lost the parcel.

I was tracking my book delivery and it showed as undeliverable. What was good was that when DAI received it they had contacted me to allow separate tracking and support. I contacted Erika, and she sorted out the problem, and the delivery was completed. Her customer service was great. Show details
Follow-up · I was writing a book and bought a few hard to get books to get solid information. This phase of buying books from overseas ended and my book is complete. To have these books almost arrive and not get delivered was frustrating. Having great customer service was a big relief. The courier problem is caused by them putting in the address Boundary and trying to deliver to the street rather than a Lane. Human error.
Appalling, My $1000+ pcie card with 4tb ssd stolen soon as it touched down from USA, Tracking stopped at DAI depot, who else could it be?!? DAI employees screen your parcel and steal if it's to their liking. I didn't use Ebay for years and soon as I get back on this happens. Show details
Follow-up · They said my parcel received water damage and was undeliverable. Believe this rubbish!
These couriers are very lazy. Delivered my parcel. left it on the retaining wall in full view of the street and people passing by and in the RAIN!! Couldn't walk 3 more steps and put it under my verandah out of the rain and safe from prying eyes. So very disappointing. Show details
Follow-up · The parcel was only a very medium size and not heavy. Article was $200. I managed to get the parcel but it was soaked. Contacted Dai and was told to contact the supplier if it was damaged. Why should the supplier take the responsibility for Dai's poor service and the resulting damage.

Top Marks to DAI Post. I had a parcel from the US (DHL e-Commerce) which was passed to DAI Post for delivery to a Suite Address at an Australia Post Office where it could not be delivered to the legitimate address provided by Aust Post. It is a long story however, DAI stopped my parcel from returning to the US, held it and then delivered it to… Read more
me at my residential address without any fuss or problems. Australia Post meanwhile are still trying to work out what the tracking number is when they did not get the parcel so did not track it. DAI Post responded to my emails and provided me with updates on where the case was at. I was very impressed with their service and the staff were just delightful. Thank you so much.
I've had two separate experiences with DAI Post. To be fair, on both occasions their customer service responded within 24 hours and genuinely tried to resolve the issue. At least it wasn't an AI chatbot that immediately closed the ticket without providing any resolution. While one package ended up being returned to the sender and I had to request… Read more
a refund, the other was successfully redirected to my address. In both cases, the same sender in the US failed to include my contact details on the parcel, which meant the package was held awaiting additional information from me.
My advice to customers is to keep an eye on the tracking updates. If a parcel gets held up, DAI Post's customer service can often help sort it out before it becomes a bigger issue.
Overall, despite the hiccups, I've had positive experiences with their support team. Good work, DAI Post.
I don't understand. I live in regional Nsw. On 12 June I ordered a tripod from Coman, somewhere in China. They despatched it immediately. I was provided with tracking information each step of the way. My order was expected to arrive 23-25 June. It arrived this afternoon, 17 June. Five days from regional China to my door. What I don't understand is why, if I post something to Darwin via Australia Post it takes two weeks. Show details

Dai post stated that they tried to deliver but was unsuccessful. we are a business and are open from 8am to 5pm. They did not come to our business to deliver. Instead they sent me a message that they tried to deliver but unsuccessful. I had to go to a post office several kilometers away and collect the parcel. Very poor service and untrue statements. Title: Parcel held hostage over an unexplained "clearance fee" My parcel has sat at customs since 3 July while DAI Post demands a SGD 75.71 "formal clearance fee" on top of GST. clearance fee to release parcels, so this is DAI Post's own charge presented as a customs requirement. Replies have been slow, often days apart, while my parcel is effectively held hostage until I pay. I have no problem paying legitimate GST, but a vague, undocumented handling fee combined with sluggish communication is not acceptable. Would not recommend.
