Two very expensive ($670 each) WD 18TB Ultrastar DC HC550 drives shipped with a bit of bubble wrap insufficient to fill the cardboard box they were express shipped in and left to bounce around a box from Melbourne to the Sunshine Coast Qld. you they plastered Fragile tape all over the outside of the small box - just a pity they didn't have the nous to read the tape and apply the same treatment to the actual contents!!!!!! Look elsewhere if you want to buy anything thats likely damaged in shipping - these guys obviously don't know what fragile means nor how to treat such items - very very disappointing.
Dealt with through mediation and Device Deal, to their credit, quickly agreed to refund the drives once returned. This has been completed and the full refund made and the mediation closed.

I reported the issue immediately and provided the requested photos and information. A replacement was initially discussed, but after a long wait, Device Deal did not provide a clear timeframe, shipping confirmation or reliable information about when the replacement would actually be sent.
Because of the poor communication and uncertainty, I eventually chose a full refund instead. I did not want to continue waiting indefinitely or risk having further problems with a replacement when the customer service and handling of the original issue had already been so disappointing.
The damaged monitor was eventually collected on 7 July. I was later told that the refund had been processed, but I did not initially receive clear evidence or proper confirmation. At the time of writing, the $1,122.73 refund has still not appeared in my account.
Throughout the process, I received inconsistent information, little acknowledgement of the inconvenience and no meaningful apology for the time and frustration caused.
To make matters worse, while the matter was still unresolved, Device Deal emailed me asking me to leave a positive review. This demonstrated a complete lack of awareness of the experience I was actually having.
Products can occasionally arrive damaged, but the real test of a company is how it handles the problem afterward. Based on the delays, unclear information and poor after-sales service I experienced, I cannot recommend Device Deal.
Follow-up · Update: I was eventually refunded, so the financial issue has been resolved. However, the process was stressful, communication was poor, and I received no compensation for the inconvenience. I will not be purchasing from this business again.

I returned the unit in good faith, expecting a warranty remedy as required under Australian Consumer Law. Instead, DeviceDeal refused to provide a refund. They claimed the product “worked in their testing” and gave me only two unsatisfactory options:
Have the same faulty unit shipped back to me at my own cost, or
Accept a partial refund under their “change of mind” policy (less shipping), despite the fact that the product was never functional in my environment.
To make matters worse, the product was originally sent to me without its original packaging, raising serious concerns about whether it was sold as new or was a previously returned/refurbished unit.
In the end, DeviceDeal kept both my money and the product I returned, leaving me with nothing. This conduct is unacceptable and, in my opinion, in clear breach of Australian consumer rights.
I will never purchase from DeviceDeal again, and I strongly recommend that anyone looking for reliable service and genuine consumer protection shop elsewhere.

I received a response that due to the holiday season that I may have to wait a little for a response. I was happy with this. I have since received an excellent detailed response. Despite this I had a few more questions and partly because I am keen to purchase I decided to phone. I quoted my reponse ticket and spoke with Alvin. The service kept getting better. He clarified my additional questions. Which strangley enough resulted in me spending more money. Though it was never about the money to begin with but rather the best solution for my circumstances. So I have placed my order and now wait for the items to arrive. To date in so far as I am concerned Device Deal sets the standard for presales service. Great pricing is also a plus. If in any doubt about this being a genuine review (it is). Im just a consumer. I have purchased from them previously and the service was no different then. Excellent. I tend not to write negative reviews for any business or product. I figure if a product or business is going poorly then they have enough issues as it is. Though when the service is this good I did fell compelled to write this.

while I was emailed that the delivery was going to be delayed due to covid and I was fine with that, but did not recieve any other email telling me whereabouts my product is at, especially the expected date of recieving my backpack. Eventually, Auspost did message me the day that I'm going to recieve my backpack. This was my first time buying from Devicedeal and I was uncertain whether I will actually recieve my backpack. Not sure if it matters to me any more since I know I can trust Devicedeal, but better communication via email would be convenient.
TL:DR - Great laptop backpack, perfect for me as a uni student, just wanted better communication on delivery status

My research recommended the LG gram 16 inch laptop. I purchased it with a whopping 500 dollars off and have to say that it's been my best laptop yet. Device Deal worked well. The only thing was their use of StarTrak as the courier. I wasn't home at the time and it was like breaking into Fort Knox to try and somehow figure where my laptop was. Aside for that everything was very good.
I have purchased a few items from device deal recently after finding them online. The level of service from the team goes above and beyond what is expected. I would recommend them to anyone.

enquiry, they were extremely unhelpful. Email communications are also slow and not helpful so far. Trying to organise a refund as the product isn't as advertised and so far, they are not cooperating. I would avoid Device Deal, not worth the small savings for the poor product and service!

Purchased software subscription and although it was problematic from the start, after sales support to resolve the issue was good and when this failed, a refund was quickly offered.
Follow-up · Purchased a digital licence for a antivirus program which failed to activate. This was promptly replaced with another digital licence but this also failed to activate. I was then promptly offered a full refund which appeared in my bank account within hours. Frustrating but after sales support prompt and hassle free.
Good pricing - especially if you can pick it up yourself. Pity that their pricing doesn't seem to show on my Google searches. Team are no nonsense and get down to business - though you need to allow a little more time for stock that they don't carry upfront. Show details
