I purchased the mobile phone from REEBELO - do not do the same!!!

I purchased the mobile phone from Reebelo on 23 February 2026 for $832.71. The purchase also included an extended warranty.

After approximately four months, the phone developed significant problems. Initially, people could not hear me properly when I used the phone, and calls were cut short. The device subsequently completely failed in late July. It would not turn on or charge and was therefore entirely unusable as a mobile telephone. We then had to buy a new phone from a more reputable phone shop (Telstra), as we are primary carers and need to be contactable.

On 5 August 2026, I contacted Reebelo and advised them that the phone had died, would not turn on or charge, and requested instructions to return the faulty phone and receive a full refund.

I made this request because the product had failed, not because I had changed my mind about the purchase. I subsequently returned the faulty device to Reebelo

During the warranty process, the vendor determined that the battery and microphone required replacement. Reebelo subsequently advised me that the battery and microphone had been replaced and that the repaired device was being returned to me. To this day, I am unsure why an $ 800+ phone, sold in such condition, would need both a new battery AND microphone.

However, throughout my correspondence, I had made it clear that I was seeking a refund, not a returned phone.

I subsequently formally rejected the goods on the basis that I considered the failure not to constitute a major failure under the Australian Consumer Law, and I requested a refund rather than accepting the repaired device as the final resolution.

Apparently, Reebelo thinks that a phone becoming completely unusable whilst we are primary carers and having to go and buy a brand new phone is not MAJOR?? Reebelo has refused my refund request.

I repeatedly clarified that I was not making a change-of-mind claim under Reebelo's returns policy. I was seeking a statutory remedy under the Australian Consumer Law.

Reebelo eventually acknowledged the dysfunction but still refused my refund. I am now taking this case up with government and legal advice, even though it could have been resolved easily. Reebelo sold a dysfunctional $800 phone. Apparently fixed it? Then returned it without my consent...

Good price, took a week to arrive. Wrong charger was sent, however the process for getting the correct one feels like more work than it should be. Create an account, log a job, wait…

NOT RECOMMENDED Purchased iPhone pro. Screen completely faulty could not even enter passcode. Then received a replacement which might have been the same one which had the same issue but possibly even worse. Customer service mediocre and automated.

Good website, fairly straightforward purchase process, well packaged server and OK delivery (5 business days to Sydney, not outstanding but not terrible). My only concern was the lack of basic cleaning of the SFF PC prior to shipment. I realise I'm buying a refurb unit, but for the ports and internals (fans, covers) to be quite dusty was below expectations. Show details ·  1

Phone is great and as described. Only thing I could criticise is it took three business days longer to arrive than was suggested when purchasing. All in all a good experience. Show reply
