them to the workshop to test the screens because he couldn't work out what the issue was. I told the tech to take them back inside and leave. So I lodged complaint and then as per their reply to my post below, they made effort to get in touch to come and fix it. To be fair, I really didn't want them anywhere near the joint so I'll give them this: They tried to make amends. But even this IT dunce simply googled what to do and between Ai and Google, they told me to go and buy a splitter so I did from Bunnings for $39. Then I photographed a similar set up with a co worker and replicated it. Bang, all working.

There's a big difference between a 238 fee for someone who claims to know what they're doing and wanting to take the brand new screens to test and charge another 100 for the privilege that still would've cost the 39 to remedy the job with screens that didn't need testing and these people insisting they're not giving me the 238 back because they tried to help after they failed so badly in the first place. So yes they tried to come back, yes i didnt bother ringing them back or the times I did, I gave up being on hold so long but the best advice I can give anyone is don't engage with them in the first place. So Geekify, keep the 238. Spend it on doing a course in humility or teaching yourself which fights to pick. I'll use the loss on never ringing you again and telling anyone I care to of my experience with you..because you're a joke and your self righteous indignation on still claiming to be in the right leads me to think you're a temporary employer. You should be embarrassed as an organisation and the representative I've been dealing with has an enormous gap between his Ai inspired responses and reality.

Total scam company stealing people's money twice without actually delivering a product. Initially called to repair a PC, the advice was to buy a new computer that never got delivered, and then they charged the credit a second time. On top of that the original PC was easily fixed so a new computer was never needed. If you are an older person, don't let yourself be scanned by these people.

I ordered and paid full price for a laptop on 5/2/2026. After 5 weeks I have not received my product and have had absolutely no contact from anyone about why or when I should expect to receive it. Extremely disappointing. Show 2 replies

with my email account which I was having difficulty accessing all of a sudden. A Geekify technician came to my house. After very little investigation he advised that he would need to take my Apple MAC to his workshop which I refused to allow given that I have personal and financial information stored on it. He then advised to replace the five year old MAC, strongly urging me to change to a Windows based computer. Under the assumption that this was necessary to resolve the issue, in the heat of the moment I agreed and was charged and paid $2537 on the spot. My son visited from interstate a few days later and was puzzled by the solution offered and decided to look into the issue. Within a few minutes of searching online he identified the problem as a basic software issue and implemented a solution. It was very clear that the problem was a simple one with a simple solution. In no way was a new computer warranted. The MAC has been working reliably since that day. My son and I have contacted Geekify on more occasions than we can could count to get my money back as no computer was supplied nor warranted. However the customer service team repeatedly say that no one is available to help and that they will call us back – they never do. They have simply taken my money. I have written to Geekify management by email however they ignore me. I have also tried to communicate via registered mail and they have not responded. Over 8 months have passed. This is very unprofessional and frankly unethical. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend not engaging with this company. I am now preparing to seek redress through the Small Claims Division of the Adelaide Magistrates Court.

I rang geeks2u but somehow ended up with Geekify? could do for me? I needed honesty!! He suggested I sign an agreement to get a new laptop and do all transfers, etc for$1500! Reasonable? Not at all! when the computer he quoted was entry level for $445 at officeworks? That meant he thought it reasonable to charge $1000 to transfer data and set up phone for printing and set up emails? Long story short! Yes I got a new computer and yes some data was transferred but at an unreasonable cost! I wish I hadn’t trusted his judgement. Never again!!
