Good one – Because of small time of charge I have bought two of them. They both work well and I use them for the quick job in the middle of the day. However would be nice if customers have access to spare parts, like the cloth wipe to buy, because they get dirty quickly and I bet I will need a replacement soon. Fair stick vacuum cleaner but no replacement filters – The MyGenie X5 is a very handy stick vacuum cleaner and works well on wood and tile floors and picks up small bits of rubbish with ease. with this machine is that I have never been able to find anyone including the manufacturer that sells replacement filters for the myGenie X5. Hepa filters that I have found on line are the wrong size. It appears to have a metal filter from the outside, however I suspect that a vast majority of purchasers do not realise that there is a filter inside the machine as some reviews complain of loss of suction, which would indicate that the filter is becoming clogged with dust. The filter is washable, however if it can not be replaced, therefore the machine has a limited life. Do not buy this product unless you can actually buy the replacement filters at the same time, which appears to be impossible. I cannot understand any manufacturer selling this machine without having an available supply of filters through its distribution network.
Great cheap entry into stick vacs – Bought my vacuum in December 2022 . Worked fabulously if I was fast and efficient… the battery life is quite short. still couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t working until I turned on the vac without the stick attachment… it worked! So it had to be the stick. Once I found the button to slide across to release the brush and detangle hair that had gotten caught up on the very end. Now it works perfectly again, twice a week and cleaned thoroughly once a month. Just wish I could buy spare hepa filters, to have on rotation so I can wash one and let it fully dry before having to vacuum again. I know it tells you in the manual re cleaning the filter but needs to explain more comprehensively about cleaning the brush. I would never go back to a drag vacuum cleaner. Stick vacs are the best.
Won't hold a charge. Not able to use it – I have only used once. It won't hold a charge. Indicates its fully charged after hours of charging. I turn the power on, it makes a suction noise then stops and shows the charge has depleted. Very annoying indeed. Show details

Don’t buy the MyGenie X5 H20! – I bought this stick cleaner in April 2022 from a third party supplier through W.Lane. Overall the item is very good and the mop function excellent. After only 2 weeks of daily use on tiled floors the felt strip underneath kept sliding out while vacuuming and I had to keep stopping to put it back in. to get the roller brush out for cleaning won’t come out according to the suppliers instruction video so I can’t remove the brush for cleaning. W.Lane have been great being the middleman between myself and the supplier and my Enquiry Ticket which was opened on 23/4/22 is still open awaiting a satisfactory outcome. After sending videos of the problems to the supplier they are refusing to replace the faulty brush-head saying it is working fine. Although I love the unit itself it certainly has been a lemon for me.

picked up on the timber floor, even when on power boost, did nothing on the carpet and equally hopeless trying to vacuum the car. Seemed to charge OK the first few times but now runs for about 3 seconds maximum, then dies, despite being "fully charged"! I've tested the "charger" and it shows an output of 27v, interestingly 20v is the specified output. Have also tested the battery pack, it shows 25v. Can't test the electronics board attached to the battery pack.
Follow-up · N Despite looking and sounding like the "real deal" it never worked well at any stage. Eventually I put it out on my nature strip for our annual council pick-up. Ironically, a neighbour, who is a retired engineer, took it, obviously thinking it might be repairable, it got "returned" a day later!

My genie x5 pro h20 will not work with the regular head however will function when using the other ones – Has been working great for the few months we have had it but now when using the main floor attachment the vac will immediately stop after trying to run for a few seconds, it still works when using any other head but they are smaller surface area and become hard to do the entire house with. charge lasts for less than 5 seconds. I contacted the seller who then referred me to House of Brands. Even though it was the first use, brand new out of the box - I was told that it was out of warranty - and that was after I chased a response for several weeks. Brand new out of the box - not opened but because it was opened a year after purchase we have been stuck with a horrible product and no support. What a piece of garbage. All the promises or quality and price were too good to be true - I should have realised that it was a farce. Cordless Vac & Mop – Purchased I think through mydeal or catch. Had it about 6 weeks for $95 it vacs has variable speed is ideal for tiles or wooden floor. Has a soft brush not hard like some and has a mop attachment which basically drops water go on the pad so the unit vacs mops and helps dry the floor. works well. Remember all of these rechargeable appliances need to go completely flat at least once a month to ensure longevity. Biggest mistake people make is leave them plugged in. Highly rrcomend

Reasonable for the price...but remove your brush head to eliminate wound-up hair around brush ends! – Lightweight and perfectly fine as a backup to main vacuum or for a small space. Light is good to see floor ahead. Mine stopped working (ie switched off within seconds of turning on, even though fully charged), and I thought it had "died" and that it was "cheap" and poor quality and I got what I should have expected for the price.. ..HOWEVER, I… Read more
jumped online to read reviews of the product and read one on this thread advising to remove the brush from the head - click out via the arrow. Brush just needed a little leverage with a butter knife or scissors to help get under it to click it upwards and out. Hair was tightly wound up at very ends, which automatically switched off the engine (as it is probably designed to do). Easily cut wound-up hair out with scissors, replaced the brush into place and viola, it worked again! So your machine may not be broken...it just automatically stops if hair is caught around the ends of the brush and compacts tightly . It was an easy fix and I notice lots of comments on this thread saying their machine had also stopped working - suggest you try this fix. Best way to test is to remove the long stick and if vacuum works without it, you immediately know it is possibly a blockage in the vacuum stick or more than likely hair twisted around the very ends of the brush.
It started out great – How do you get through to manufacturer? I've had it less than 4 months Mygenie X5 H20 Corldess Vac and mop, not used that often. Turned on last weekend and it shut down. dry before I use it again! the blue light that indicates the vacuum is charging went within a couple of weeks, the machine still charged so I really wasn't worried about it not working, so, unless I can get replacement filters the unit is a waste of money, shame as the unit is not a bad machine for the price. MyGenie does have a shop but they don't have spare parts only new units. I've learnt a lesson you get what you pay for!!!! p.s. just ordered filters on ebay however I'm not sure they will fit????

Do not buy this vacuum – I bought this off Catch.com.au and it stopped working a few weeks in. When it DID work, it wasn't that good. The returns process is awful, both through Catch and the manufacturer. I thought I was saving money, but now I'm out $100 with a piece of junk I'll probably just have to throw out.
