Not warm, not thick and comfortable, mostly synthetic not wool, one pair arrived with a large number of threads not tied into the cloth so can’t be pulled on without snagging toes, one pair was two different sized socks, and now the pairs I do wear are beginning to fall apart after only half a year of occasional use. the Ragnar socks are perfect for those days as they are slightly thinner and therefore fit in my boots perfectly. They keep my feet neutral in temperature, I am not smelly at the end of the day and most importantly, on dewy days, I don't have to change my socks three or four times in the morning to have dry feet. When I get back to my little off grid cabin and it's time to rest, I throw on a pair of Seva's to stay cozy and warm in my unheated house. I will probably buy more as I just found the Ida's and I love the colours in them. Love everything about these socks!

I usually look for well-spun fibres, a dense thread count, soft fabric, a secure fit, and socks that stay up throughout the day. and the weave is less dense. • This results in a looser fit, and the socks slip down when worn. • The fabric is much thinner — you can see through both the main weave and the ribbing. • The ribbing itself offers little support, revealing just a single thin elastic thread. • There is no reinforced toe or heel, which was a key feature of the older pairs. Overall, the quality of the new socks is significantly lower than previous purchases. It appears the materials and thread count may have been reduced, possibly due to rising production costs. I hope the original quality can be restored, as the earlier versions were excellent.

Photos you can see the ribbing at top of socks have changed and the thin elastic that holds them up is poor. Toe section not reinforced, the length and thickness has changed. The thread count is way thinner I can see my skin through them.
