Delighted Payam retrieved 50,148 photos, 1,407 videos and my contacts and other data from my drowned Mobile – My Samsung S9plus fell into the river. After drying it out, it wouldn't turn on or charge. No sign of life. All normal channels, including a call to Samsung, said there was no hope of recovering anything off it. Stupidly I had not backed it up since I bought it in 2018 so all our precious family and travel photos etc, were on there. I felt a bit… Read more ·  1

sick when I thought I had lost all of that. My computer repairer said the only hope was to send it to a Data Recovery specialist. They may or may not be able to recover the contents of my phone and it would cost around $700 if they were successful. My initial reaction was a bit of shock at the cost but after a while I weighed that up against losing those irreplaceable photos of Grandkids, family etc and realised it was worth it. I rang a few Data Recovery businesses that I found on the internet. Payam quoted $675 fixed cost plus the cost of a backup hard drive (I chose the 2TB for $90) and no charge if they were unsuccessful plus they would return the phone free of charge. Others ranged well upward from there, some charging $160 to look at it and said they couldn't give a fixed quote until they looked at it and then it could cost up into the mid $3,000's. There were a couple of cheapies that I had no confidence in risking because I figured we'd only get one chance at it and didn't want it stuffed up. I went with Payam because I knew exactly how much I was up for and there was no charge if they weren't successful and was so pleased and appreciative that they were successful. And the bonus is that the old phone is working again, although they did say that this may only be temporary. I followed their advice and backed up the Hard Drive to the cloud and will keep the new phone backed up also. An expensive lesson. In talking to my computer repairer later, they said that Payam is the company that they use and have found to be the best. So grateful and money well spent. Thankyou Payam. Saved years of memories and jobs – I had a 2TB Seagate external hard drive that failed and I was totally unable to activate it or retrieve hundreds of thousands/years of photos from it. I have not had Seagate problems in the past and do still believe it to be a good brand. I sought advice and, ultimately, reliant upon one personal recommendation and published reviews I engaged… Read more ·  1

PAYAM DATA RECOVERY to help. Whilst I had many of the files from this hard drive located elsewhere also, I still had huge numbers on this drive I needed. From the first contact PAYAM were up front with their procedures, fee estimates and time frames. I mailed the item to them via priority paid and received an e-mail from them the next day. I chose the lower fee range because the files were not in 'urgent' need. Within days I had received a further e-mail from them with which I was satisfied, gave them the go-ahead, accepted their offer of download on to TWO (reasonably priced Western Digital) 2TB hard drives (I was playing safe by backing up the back up ... !!!). WITHIN TEN DAYS THE ENTIRE PROCEDURE WAS COMPLETE FROM ABSOLUTE START TO FINISH with the new hard drives returned to my regional/country address. PAYAM kept me informed EVERY step of the way. Up until this time I was well and truly more than happy with the results, cost wise, retrieval wise and product wise. And now a week later they have been in further contact with me checking on my satisfaction as well as a couple of other procedural matters relevant to the old drive. I must say, to have had the old drive fail as it did absolutely terrified me with the realisation of what I may had lost. I am almost at a total loss to name another business that offers the brilliant customer service that PAYAM has. I cannot thank them enough and certainly highly recommend their services.

Fantastic Service – Whilst overseas on holidays recently, my camera SD card became inaccessible when trying to back up my precious photos and videos. Living outside of the metro area, Payam Data Recovery were recommended by my local camera store as the best people to recover the data. Their website was very informative and all costs and processes very transparent. … Read more ·  1

Submitting an inquiry, I received a response within hours and was very happy to send the SD card to the Brisbane office. Upon receipt, they immediately checked the card, advising me that they were 99% sure they could recover all files and provided a quote. Throughout the process I was continually informed by Scott McCalman of the process. Within days all my files were recovered onto a hard drive and sent by overnight courier back to me. Excellent service, will definitely be recommending to anyone who finds themselves in the same unfortunate situation. Thanks Scott and the team at Payam Data Recovery for a fantastic service.

Payam Data Recovery Excellent and Professional – Payam Data Recovery (Craig) were excellent in the service they provided. They were courteous, understanding, empathetic, friendly, helpful, and professional at all times. We handed over two 1TB Capacity Hard Drives that had stopped working in April 2024. They explained everything clearly and up front. They went through all the steps that would be… Read more ·  1

involved in retrieving the data. Their communication was prompt, clear, and excellent at all times throughout the whole process from start to finish, including with emails and phone calls. After they assessed the Hard Drives, they explained what was wrong with them (which was damage to printed circuit board from power surge, incorrect power supply cable used, or some other electrical problem) and what they would do to retrieve the data, and how long it would take. The cost was $880 Including GST for the Non-Urgent Economy Service: 2-3 weeks estimated time frame for each Hard Drive. We are very pleased with the outcome and highly recommended them. All the best regards. P&P Melbourne.

All the hype, yet sadly couldn't retrieve it for us – Sent off my hard drive after it faulted while I was watching Netflix. No liquid on it, not dropped, nothing to inflict damage. Paid the $500 in the hope that they could retrieve my life that I stored on my computer (as does everyone); job information, Uni subjects in the middle of being undertaken, precious photos of people I've recently lost,… Read more

basically my whole life outside of people.

Currently on Mat Leave, so $ is tight - would happily have paid the full amount and gone without, to get my life back. But now it feels like a very sad waste of the $, and added devastation of not being able to have it retrieved.

We are the unlucky ones. Yes I spent hours crying about it.

Disappointing Service – We are a regional IT service provider and recently April 2020, contacted Payam Data Recovery for a service in relation to data recovery from a damaged Seagate desktop hard drive for one of our clients. As per their policy, we sent the drive for inspection and assessment and we were advised all is OK and we paid $250 for the assessment and quote… Read more

for the data recovery. They provided a quotation and we, after consulting with our client, agreed with quotation to go ahead. After over two weeks waiting we got a response from PDR that Data is Not recoverable and the reason was “ the drive physically damaged!!” and we were told that the faulty drive is going to return to us!! It was very disappointing for us and for our client as the Payam Data Recovery did not honour what they claim to be: The PDR did assess the drive We paid $250. For providing quotation which is not refundable??!! PDR failed to honour a basic business deal that they were supposed to do This is a factual review and we wouldn’t recommend their service.

Data Recovery - excellent outcome and service – Our computer died (without a recent backup - mental note to self, don't do this again). After a visit to Apple we were given two recommendations for Data Recovery specialists. I rang both companies. Both were professional and polite, but Payam Data Recovery (Brisbane) were also kind and had a very personalised approach. We were put in contact… Read more

with Scott the amazing Data Recovery Technician who was very reassuring and really seemed to care about our situation. All communication (on the phone, in person and via email) was clear and effective. We were kept up to date at all times and our data was returned to us (yay) in an efficient timeframe. Thank you team at Payam - I recommend your services very highly.

P.S. Payam were also half the price of the other company (& it felt like personalised service) what a bonus - thanks again.

Highly Recommended – I’ve previously used this company and left a Google review so can’t post my more recent experience there - hence I am posting here. received this time round too. My previous experience was with a USB stick, so more affordable and positive. This time it was a WD HDD so more expensive. I only needed to recover 27 GB but had some old stuff on that drive so the whole recovery was more than I needed - maybe this wasn’t what made it more expensive, maybe it was just because my WD HDD was so old. Either way, it’s my own doing and had I been able to afford it, I feel confident that Payam Data would have been able to recover it for me. I highly recommend this company and thank Scott for his patience and professional approach.

Cured my anxiety – The HDD on my laptop had a broken head. They sourced a spare part for my old laptop and fixed it well enough to be able to make a copy. I could have paid the higher amount for the prioritised attempted retrieval of data, but waited and it was worth it. I received over 167,000 files back. All files that I have searched for, I have found. I was able to complete my end of year transactions and get it off to the accountant. Great service! Show reply

Expensive but if you want your digital life back it's worth it – I felt sick when my harddrive stopped working, every shred of paper not to mention photo had been scanned to this device. Payam Data Recovery quoted me a price to repair and when it sunk in that it was a lot of mine and my family's life it had to be done. Show reply

Desperately needed very professional data recovery service, AWESOME – I had an external hard drive that I used to store data. I am a bit of a dinosaur so the cloud for data storage had yet to be something I was confident with. One day the hard drive just didn't boot up an I needed someone to recover the data for me. Payam managed that very effectively and quickly. The instructions on drop-off and pick-up were easy to follow, they obviously did a great job as I have all of the data back and am extremely happy. Show reply

Woah! My data is back! – I had burnt all 4 of my hard drives by a faulty power supply! Can you imagine turning on the computer and not seeing either of my two raid arrays! But Payam to the rescue! Luckily, Payam keeps the restored data for couple of weeks and I had my data rewritten to the hard drive again. Now all is back, as if nothing happened! Thank you! P. S. As I had drives in two raid arrays burnt, I had to have two jobs, one per disk. You may see this same review again for the second job.
