Absolute worse experience dealing with RSPCA , NEVER again and wouldn’t recommend to anyone. You will never get your claim through , they only take money.

I support the RSPCA overall ie welfare care of animals and now no association with this anymore ???? The cancellation was a drama. Disgraceful company, I was with the ORIGINAL RSPCA for a long time, but it’s now been corporatised into PetSure / Buddy, no notification, no communication about this and certainly no communication about the policy increases and decreases in claims and values , I have no interest in being aligned to a company that’s intent is to force its clients financially, would never recommend or encourage the use of their products and services.

SO HAPPY I have reviewed RSPCA Pet Insurance before, and I would like to say I continue to be extremely happy with the service. My lovely Mavis has a developed a heart problem and is now on expensive medication. My percentage has been reimbursed without delay making my insurance worth every cent. Show reply

I've held this pet insurance policy for 10 years and have recently discovered that consultations are capped at just $300 per year. While my dog hasn't needed to claim this much in the past, his care needs are increasing as he ages — and a single vet visit alone can easily cost upwards of $200. I currently pay over $220 per month for this policy.… Read more

Given the annual consultation cap, the premium feels entirely disproportionate to the coverage provided. I wouldn't mind the steadily rising premiums if the benefits justified the cost, but as it stands, I'd likely be better off setting that same monthly amount aside in a savings account.

Customer service has also declined noticeably. I used to speak with knowledgeable, local representatives who could genuinely help resolve issues. Now, calls are routed to offshore call centres where staff appear limited to reading from a script, with little ability to assist beyond that.

Overall, I'd strongly recommend comparing other providers before committing to this insurer.

I've been with RSPCA pet insurance for >8 years - originally for 2 puppies, then for 1 - Cavoodle. I didn't compare the Premium because it stated that it donated some of the funds to RSPCA. When I first inquired & signed up I was not told that I'd have to supply the Vet's Consultation Notes for claims, & was given the impression I was covered to… Read more

80%. Since then most claims have been rejected as non-eligible because they're either immunisations, or skin, ear or eye treatments, or whatever, & each time I am compelled to chase up the Vet for notes - even though the Invoice clearly records the Consultation. I hate having to contact the Vet for this, but if I don't supply it the claim is rejected. Even then it is often rejected,or just disappears. For that reason I usually don't bother! I'm currently in the process of re-submitting a claim for surgery, as soon as I get a response from the Vet.Then scanning in the Invoices & the Consultations notes. And now I see that the rebate is only 75%! I'll be cancelling, I think, after this. I'm paying $150.00 per month for this stressful chore! I don't consider this value for money!

RSPCA is not worth the money after a couple of years with them. We had been with them since getting a puppy and our policy has more than doubled in 4years, they offer a cheap rate to start with, then it’s over 25% hike a year. You would be better off starting a savings account for the $2k annual they want to charge for a 4yr old dog, imagine what they will try charge for an 8yr old.
