I went to ampliphon, got told to go next door to spec savers. Maybe i dont look old enough to have pension card. Best thing they could have done for me. I met kate at spec savers. Even set up the bluetooth connection on my phone and showed me how to use it. Kate never tried to upsell me on anything. Stephen, optometrist at Stockland Burleigh Heads store is a pig. In front of the public he berated my wife for being 10 minutes late for an appointment without showing any interest in why. My wife is a quadriplegic and was delayed in the car park by a truck that blocked her egress from the car (another thing people with disability have to deal… Read more

with) only to be insulted by Stephen who has no interest in providing an understanding, empathetic or accessible service. All this is on top of that fact that some of the services Specsavers offer exclude people with disability. Customer service is the main reason for choosing a provider, and thanks to Stephen, Specsavers service is disgraceful.

When to upper coomera Westfield spec savers and got a new set of glasses that ended up way worst than the previous ones. When back to Specsavers and this guys disregard my claims. Had to go to Brisbane to a proper opthalmologist specialist who wrote down a letter with the RIGHT measurements so Specsavers could simply make the glasses. When back to… Read more

Specsavers and of course they didn't want to do it cos they said that their specialist optometrist needed to run a test. I told them that it wouldn't matter what their optometrist said or not because I had a letter from an eye doctor opthalmologist specialist, but Specsavers didn't want to do it until they said. Ok we will make these glasses with these measurements but will cost you $640 bucks.... In a very polite way I told them to get FKD... sent that opthalmologist letter overseas to get the glasses done and finally got them a month ago for a fraction of the price quoted by Specsaver.. It is a massive difference and my eyes feel more relax and the glasses done make me dizzy or give me any headaches like the previous ones made by Specsavers. I don't recommend this thief's to anyone.

What more could you ask for from Specsavers? From free annual eye checks covered by Medicare, to lens cleaning, replacement of tiny screws, and even help taking a great selfie — the service is always outstanding. A big 5-star shoutout to Kenny, Stu, Chloe, and the entire team at the Werribee Plaza store for their friendly, professional, and helpful service. Keep up the fantastic work! Show details

Been with specsavers for over 10 years. My first issue with a pair of glasses and appalling customer service at the Westfield Geelong store. I purchased a pair of glasses less than 18 months ago and have had to have them fixed 3 times due to pin falling out. Pin snapped and specsavers response! Sorry it's out of warranty.

I purchased glasses and my glasses are still like new condition and I purchased them around two or three years ago. The paint on the frame has peeled off and Specsavers Blacktown have refused to repair or replace the frame.

***DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE - UNSAFE PRACTICE*** My 17-year-old daughter went to the Brookside store to get her eyes checked by herself. The optometrist wrote on a Specsavers business card… Read more

Specsavers you put us through absolute HELL! - A formal complaint has been made to Qld Heath, I will keep this post updated.

Urgently needed new spectacles when the arm broke a few days before leaving for an interstate wedding. The Specsavers store were fantastic, arranging contact lenses in short timeframe. I also purchased an emergency pair of glasses during Black Friday Sale as backup set. 2year quality warranty & a proud partner with Fred Hollows Foundation which I have supported for 40+ years. Show details

Having purchased glasses at Specsavers for the past four years I will never ever go there again. I would luckily and happily pay $1000 per pair to OPSM to not deal with Specsavers ever again at Coomera. Arguing with the customer when they are right just to have an invalid point or to make a stand is a very immature position for a business owner and manager . Show details

extra for anti-reflection coating on that one.

They said sorry and that they would contact me again and fix it. The second time I went, the prescription was still wrong and it wasn’t even my glasses. They apologized again and said it was another mistake.

I’ve been shopping at this store for about 10 years, and for the last 5 years I’ve had a problem with them every single time. I promised myself this would be the last time and that I would never go back to this brand. I will buy from a different brand. Now, with this experience, I feel like even the prescription for my glasses isn’t correct, because their work isn’t good at all."_*

That sounds really frustrating — especially paying extra for anti-reflection and still getting the wrong lenses twice.

Follow-up  · After 2 times mistakes ,finally I’ve got my glasses back but it will be my last order through this brand.

Has gone well for me – I have been ordering Acuvue 1-day contact lenses online through Specsavers for a number of years. I am not sure whether I have just been fortunate compared to some of the other reviewers but I have generally been very impressed with the service I… Read more

have experienced. Communication, timeliness and quality of the orders received have all been excellent. The one caveat I will add though is that if there is any difficulty at all with an order it is virtually impossible to contact anyone online. For example, for my last order I had received a discount code offer by email which did not work. I eventually used the one provided on their website which fortunately did, as two attempts at contacting Specsavers online were fruitless. This has been the case with other attempts to contact them in the past also. So if there are any real difficulties with an order I would not like the chances of getting any assistance online.

Follow-up  · I am still with Specsavers and still very pleased with buying my contacts through them in regard to the prices and service they provide. I have now extended my patronage to include eye examinations and the purchase of prescription glasses through Specsavers Dog Swamp (WA). My daughter chose a 2 for the price of 1 deal at $199 with an extra $80 for polarisation of the sunglasses. The quote we got was $279 so she booked the eye examination which was paid for by medicare. add-ons!!!!! Bi-focals - what rot, she has absolutely no need for bi-focals. What an unscrupulous racket they run. They hook you in with the cheap 2 for 1 deal (which are really rubbish specs anyway and which fall apart quickly) then they pocket the medicare fee and start the hard sell sales pitch for the expensive add-ons. If I'm going to pay $600 then I'd rather it go to an ethical optometrist for a pair of decent quality specs. Specsavers is quite simply one big rort! Disgusted, especially when people walk away because of the costs and they get to pocket the medicare fee. Shonky as!

My name is Ajay and ihad an appointment for an eye test at 07/09/2026 1:20 PM at Specsavers Melton. I reached there 10min earlier. than attending to customers. There seemed to be more staff than patients, yet there was still a lack of attention towards those waiting for their appointments.

I understand that staff can be busy, but customers and patients should still be treated with respect and given proper attention, especially when they have made an appointment.

Unfortunately, I had to leave without having my eyes checked, which meant that my time was wasted. I also expected an apology from the supervisor, but unfortunately, she feel sorry and at the same time her attitude was i don't care.

Overall, I found the service very poor and disappointing. I hope management will look into this matter, provide an apology, and take steps to improve customer service and ensure patients are properly looked after. End of the day i wasted my 2hrs for nothing.

Every specs I have got from this outfit is poorly made, the lens are not worth the money, they pop out and when you take them back you get looked at and asked how are you cleaning them .. really maybe they aren't put on correctly... But no it is the user fault.. one week that is all it took. All they want is you insurance money. I could say more, but why bother... Never again...

Do not use Specsavers. Everytime I have used Specsavers for prescription glasses. I have had to continually go back to fix up their mistakes. Recently I went for an eye test in a new town new store. The staff said to me to keep the others as they would only throw them in the bin anyway. Today I got a reminder call that they were ready. So I was downtown and said to the young lady that I'd be there shortly. I arrived at the store and she goes she needed the glasses before handing over the new ones. So now another trip I have to make just to get a set of glasses upgraded. I've been saying since all the drama I've had in the past I'd never go back. Well Specsavers after this transaction is finished I will never be back near any of your stores. If can't do a precise job in the first place why not leave it to professional optometrist companies.

On 06/07/26, I wanted to store in Noosaville to have multifocal lenses put in the frame I had with me, but to start, a technician/machine operator took the reading, but the Optometrist, if that she was, saw me for not more than 5 minutes; that was all. was told that using my frame would make it more expensive. Which I must admit was VERY STRANGE. I was charged $590.00 for a simple plastic frame of their own brand. Two weeks later, the glasses came, which were not very satisfacory. I then went to Cooroy Optometry to get the prescription of the eye test carried by an experienced optometrist and discovered that each and every recorded data was not correct. This was and is most serious, breach of Duty of Care, and Specsavers were Negligent in their duty of care. I am using this term not lightly, but with utmost care. I have both the priscriptions to prove it. Specsavers, were more interested in selling worthless plastic frame and collecting fee from Medicare.
