Cleaning – Well I have been doing business for 12 months plus, and my cleaner Lynee has done most of the cleaning. The cleaning is up to the standards but does not lift the items but just wipes around them, items such as the toaster does not lift it so leaving all the crumbs under it.

the quality of the recent clean did not meet the standard we were used to. The bed sheets were not properly fitted, and there was visible dust and debris remaining on the floors and around furniture, despite being advised that vacuuming and mopping had been completed. Photos were taken to document this.
I also noticed that the cleaner appeared unfamiliar with using common household cleaning tools, such as a Dyson V8 vacuum and mopping with a microfiber cloth. These are fairly standard cleaning tools, so this was a concern. During the visit, the cleaner mentioned that she is a student and only works a few hours a week, which gave me the impression that a less experienced cleaner may have been assigned to this booking.
Based on this experience, this cleaner may not be the right fit for our needs. I'm exploring other companies/recommendations.

have been done well. The beds were made which I liked as a lot of cleaners don't do that. However communication with the cleaner was not the best. After the 2nd clean, I found 2 old towels saturated and filthy in the laundry sink. I thought oh maybe she thought they were rags and used them to clean with. On about the 3rd time she came, it just happened that I was not at work. I did go out just before she started though so as not to be in her way and then returned about an hour and 45 minutes later to find her gone. When I went inside the house, the kitchen floor had clearly not been touched. I took a photo and sent it to both the cleaner and the area coordinator. I also questioned the time spent as I'm sure she would have charged me the $130 if I didnt. In addition to this I found good towels in the laundry sink, not old ones that could be mistaken for rags, saturated and filthy. In response to my query about the kitchen floor she said "You don't even have a proper mop!" I asked her what kind of mop I should have and suggested I could try and get one before the next clean. Clearly not wanting to discuss anything she just replied with "Just pay me $100." The area coordinator did not respond to my complaint. I would not use this company again.

more to get an actual cleaner after the owners spent all day trying to clean what still wasn’t clean. After giving feedback about how disappointed and distressed I was their response was to call me and lecture me about a “miscommunication” before even looking at the photos of the place that had had been “cleaned” twice and was still not clean. Several cupboards weren’t even looked in and there was still skirtings, floors and windows that hadn’t even been touched. I don’t even understand how he managed to make it dirtier, but did and we’re still paying the price. Never use this company. We paid for the premium service (4 hours) to clean our new home, 4 days prior to moving in. We checked what needed to be cleaned of the vacant home at the presettlement inspection the day prior to the clean. We’re not actually sure what the cleaner did other than dust the inside of the cupboards. I sent videos of the condition of the home and the 20 seconds it took to scrub the cupboard interior with a cleaning wipe. The kitchen is relatively new and It’s not hard work but I have a toddler and baby and no help so this was the one thing we needed done.
Absolute domestics said that as we did not send through a video within 48 hours they will not guarantee the work, they also confirmed they do not themselves guarantee the work, they ask the cleaner to, and they can of course refuse. I sent a polite email about these issues and after no resolution went to use the feedback/review link, only to find it had been disabled. . .
Do yourself a favour and hire any other company or cleaner.

Absolutely terrible. They have no direct phone number which is a huge warning sign. There phone number that is advertised is his for an Answering service, you aren’t able to speak directly to a person. Please beware of this agency. False advertising… Read more
and made me pay up front for a general house clean but the cleaner didn’t actually do the clean. They refused to refund and won’t honour their guarantee on their site. The photos and videos attached are only a handful of what I have. Please contact me for more information.
Follow-up · They advertise that they have a guarantee but don’t honour it. It is very hard to reschedule as their cleaners are mostly backpackers who are house sitting. They use their host’s cleaning products and equipment without permission to clean houses for money.

I was very happy with Katrina who cleaned over and above what was needed. She cleaned my house twice and then I was told she won't be cleaning for me anymore. Another cleaner contacted me and said he was too busy to clean and that he would contact me in the New Year. Not happy about this. Show 3 replies

On the day of cleaning they came with NO PET SPECIALISED vacuum cleaner, but an industrial vacuum cleaner, that was of course not able to do anything to remove dog hair. They spent only one hour on vacuuming. They were one hour late, left one hour early, and charge me one more hour on top. One cleaner promised that they will return (as it was bond guarantee) with a proper pet vacuum cleaner as he said that he knew who from to borrow the pet vacuum cleaner. He promised us several times just to get paid. The moment he was paid all communication stopped from his side, he has completely ghosted us, didn’t return my calls or messages, his cleaning partner took over the correspondence, denied everything, was super rude, and in the end was even threatening me! (have it all in writing)
When I complained to the agency they only by phone acknowledged by phone that it was their mistake for not securing the pet specialised vacuum cleaner and that they realised that industrial vacuum, no matter how strong is not capable to deal with pet hair. But that was it! In all further written correspondence they kept writing that they secured professional vacuum cleaner and carpet had too much hair. Of course that the carpet had hair, we cleaned twice per week with our own pet specialised pet vacuum cleaner and it always removes ALL the dog hair, but it needs to be the PET SPECIALISED vacuum cleaner! To cut the story short, they NEVER brought the proper vacuum cleaner, they LIED about the bond guarantee, they treated us like TRASH, they OFFENDED us, they broke the agreement, they are the worst lying agency in Australia, i will never ever ever ever recommend them or hire them and I hired another cleaning agency, they came with a proper pet cleaning vacuum cleaner like magic carpets were shining and not a single pet hair was left, but it costed me another cleaning fee on top of what I paid these frauds!!! The cleaner lied to me and about me. She broke our dog's metal bed and did not tell me. She almost destroyed an expensive rug although I had shown her how to vacuum it. My husband is 80 yo and I am 73 yo. This company is in QLD and we are in SA. This does not work. We have found a local cleaner who is wonderful. Think long and hard before you use Absolute Domestics.

cleaner left, the dead cockroach still lay where he died surrounded by some sort of sticky muck, the sticky cupboard doors and handles remained sticky, draws were not cleaned and crumbs or some sort of dirt remained in many draws. Mind you the house was almost empty so an easy clean straight after a bond clean, right? Nope! Over priced and very disappointing. Cleaners were not aware of expected commencement time. Many were sent but only a select few were committed to long term cleaning. Very difficult to communicate with your company. When I explained that I only wanted two hours of cleaning she wasn’t available; which is ok. But she shouldn’t have been told it was an eight hour job. The next person did come for a two hour job. But for some reason thought it was for ironing. Not sure why your company thought that. She done a good job of the cleaning I needed done, but was not able to commit to long term; despite telling me she was happy with what was required in that time frame (I did offer her an extra half hour if she needed it). After a year with this company, I can confidently say the pay is unacceptably low. They take $23 from every clean while doing almost nothing to earn it, and the workers are left with scraps. The workers get no holiday pay and no super. It's frustrating, demoralising, and frankly feels exploitative. I wouldn't suggest working here unless major changes are made.

great communication between head office, regional manager, and cleaner ( Alicia ). prompt service and able to fit us in at the most convienient times. Alicia quietly worked away for a solid 2 hours. the end result was a sparkling kitchen and all other rooms tidy clean and smelling fresh again. price was more than reasonable and very happy.
