cleaners would not continue the clean. This placed us in an extremely difficult position because the property needed to be cleaned within the required timeframe and, once the clean was already underway, there was effectively no practical opportunity to cancel and organise another bond cleaner at short notice. We felt we had little realistic choice but to agree to the additional charge. This was particularly concerning given that their original advertising stated “No hidden costs”, “No hourly charges”, “No time limits”, and that customers would never be asked to pay for “extra hours” to complete their bond clean. The problems then continued after the clean. The real estate agent identified a localised mark on a wall. Under Bond Clean Expert's advertised guarantee, their cleaners returned to rectify it. Following that re-clean, what had previously been a localised area became substantially larger and sticky, and the painted surface was visibly damaged. Bond Clean Expert subsequently acknowledged in writing that during their re-clean “the existing sticky substance spread across that area.” The property manager has since independently obtained a quote for $660 to repair and repaint the damaged wall. Despite being provided with photographs, video evidence, correspondence, and the repair quote, Bond Clean Expert has refused responsibility. They subsequently referred to the warranty attendance as a “forceful reclean”, despite the re-clean being requested under the guarantee they had expressly advertised as part of the service. For me, the biggest concerns were the unexpected demand for a further $260 after the clean had already commenced, the damage occurring during the subsequent re-clean, and the way the business handled the matter after being notified. Given the representations made to us regarding fixed pricing, no hidden costs, and a “7-Day 100% Bond Back Guarantee”, our experience was very different from what we expected when booking the service. Based on our experience, I would not use Bond Clean Expert again.

It shocks and saddens me that almost every review mentions demands for extra money AFTER quoting and full payment had been made and cleaning had already started. This solidified my suspicion that we had been scammed. We received a call saying there was excessive cat fur and a demand for $120 or they would not continue the cleaning. Considering the prep clean I did, I knew there wasn’t excessive cat fur, but I was half asleep and couldn’t be bothered to argue as I had already paid them. I was concerned they would refuse to give me back my money if I said no.

I wish I did refuse as they clearly use money paid as leverage to bleed more out of you. Most people don’t have a spare $800 to hire someone else last minute knowing what they’ve already paid will be tied up for potentially months, which I would wager is these scammers exact thoughts. I will certainly be contacting the ACCC after reading these reviews and realising I was severely duped.

On top of this scam they apparently perform consistently, the clean was subpar at best. After checking the clean the day of, realising they were already gone before 1pm despite all the extra cleaning they claimed to do because of the cat fur, I then had to bring my own cleaning supplies back the next day to fix the job they got paid handsomely to do.

Window sills and skirting boards were untouched, door handles had a weird film on them, and the front door panels weren’t cleaned, the hot plate hadn’t been cleaned properly or wiped where it meets the countertop. I cleaned the hot plate with good old oven cleaner, which came up perfectly in under two minutes. You’d think professional cleaners would know these things. Basic expectation of bond cleaning completely unmet. They had tried to extort more money for extra wall cleaning too, which I refused as I had already sugar soap scrubbed every wall.

If that wasn’t enough, there were a few personal items my partner forgot to grab from our wardrobe. They were gone, obviously. Every other bond cleaner I’ve had has put any personal items found in the house in a pile in the garage & texted me to let me know. I questioned whether our belongings were put somewhere, thrown out, or taken. We got no response.

Photos of lack of cleaning were taken on 12th Oct 2024, the clean was performed on the 11th Oct 2024.

Omg, they arrived promptly and completed my pest control at my property. After about a month, I noticed some ants in my backyard, so I called them for assistance. They quickly returned and re-completed the job without any hassle. In my opinion, they are very friendly and approachable people, making the whole experience much more pleasant.

the 10 lots of blinds had been cleaned, not one skirting board wiped down, all walls were not spot cleaned and the best one ! Carpets were not cleaned. Had to spend another $250 on a carpet cleaner who did a great job and spend 5 hours cleaning what had not been done. Disgusting to think they can actually rip off people like this. They must be blind as they didn't even clean the most obvious of things, eg. light switches were left filthy, kitchen splash back had grease dripping which was not cleaned as was the rangehood and pantry door. Windows, verticals and screens were untouched. I contacted the tenants to let them know that the cleaners had done a horrendous job of cleaning the house. They requested photos and an email outlining what was missed which I did. Apparently they have a 7 day guarantee period. I believe they requested extra money but I don't know if this was paid by the tenant. Well they did come back but didn't make any difference to the cleanliness of the house. There was still marks on the doors, the windows weren't touched, light switches were again overlooked. The photo below is just an example of the way they clean. There is no attention to detail. It's not just the vacuuming and moping. I told the tenants that they had been ripped off by these cleaners and to never use them again.

The fact that we needed a reclean was disappointing. The fact that the reclean still failed to address all of the issues was unacceptable.

In the end, we paid for a bond clean and received a rushed surface clean that required another 10 hours of professional cleaning to rectify.

Without question the worst cleaning service we have ever used.

I have been recommended Sam by my property manager from Coastal Property Management on the Gold Coast. They are great detailers for bond cleaning work. They cleaned my large apartment to a very high standard, and I am very satisfied with the result.

Unfortunately my move out date got pushed back so I couldn't get everything out of the apartment but everything was packed up in boxes, bags in middle of living area with a 1M space around it at least to access windows/walls/skirting.

After a few hours at the property I received a call saying that they needed me to pay an extra $200, they quote the reason being they needed to clean the dishwasher, microwave, there were more windows than expected (new apartment with floor to ceiling windows) and there was pet fur. I told them that they don't need to clean the windows are they are clean and I'll clean the dishwasher & Microwave. They then said it is then considered a partial clean and there is no guarantee on bond return without payment. I said they can surely guarantee the areas they are cleaning wont come back with comments and they said no, there is no guarantee unless I pay additional.

I told them no. I came home that afternoon to find that they had started cleaning the windows, but stopped half way leaving really visible streaks of cleaning solution across them, streaks across the oven door, streaks across the cook top & grease present in the range hood. Bathroom grouting was still dirty, Laundry wasn't mopped at all. I emailed them and said these are the areas they were supposed to clean and the windows which weren't dirty before are now. They did come back the next day to "rectify" the issues, the streaks were gone (just) but the grout was still dirty.

Inspection came and went, they found dirt in draws, along sliding draw runners, the grouting as previously mentioned, more grease in the oven, dirt/dust and a little bit of pet fluff in the oven vent, Bins not cleaned around them, marks & dirt on walls, skirtings not cleaned.

Company response is simple that the bond wasn't guaranteed and they wouldn't be back to fix. Paid the estate agents recommended cleaners to come back and fix their work for another $380. Should have gone with them in the first place.

The previous year I did a bond clean myself in 8 hours of a similar unit (inclusive of windows and balcony) I did a better job in 1 day than these guys. I did this because I had to work and wanted assurance things wouldn't be missed but these guys don't know what they are doing.

This business is a scam and rely on you being too busy and stressed to question them or their quality.

Highly impressed with the quality of work! Daniel and his team carried out a complete end-of-lease clean along with carpet steam cleaning for three rooms and the hallway. They also did a detailed flea and tick treatment as required. Everything was done to a very high standard—the house looked immaculate, and the carpets were refreshed and deodorized beautifully. Very punctual, professional, and easy to deal with. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience! The team handled a complete end-of-lease clean for my property, including detailed flea and tick pest control and carpet shampooing for two rooms. The attention to detail was impressive—nothing was missed. The carpets looked refreshed and felt like new after the deodorizing treatment. The whole house was left in perfect condition. absolutely disgusting. Required an extra $230 for blinds. $1200 in total for a home that was rented for 1 year. Asked for these to be left and this was unaccounted by them as it would not be a full bond clean. When asked to stop and leave and to find someone else was told that the $800 already paid was seized and would not be returned. Had no choice but to pay the extra. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL. George
