The solar app on my phone goes off line whenever the wifi goes down. It's very unsatisfactory as it is the only app that does this. I ring for help and Wade from Fortune Solar is always so patient and helpful. He spends hours trying to get me online and even the Growatt technicians are unable to do this. Happy with the after sale service. One of the PV cables connecting the panels and the inverter fails. Wade helped me all the way through until the cable is replaced. My system is up and running again. Thanks for your assistance Wade.

Fortune Solar offered me a somewhat lower price; the installation time was just 2 weeks, and that's where the good part ends. The installer wanted to cut his work short and was looking for ways to cut corners from the get-go. He dumped 12 panels on the south roof instead of two east roof faces, contrary to the original layout, claiming they would… Read more
perform well; they are performing terribly (green graph). The other 10 panels on the west roof start picking up at 12 pm and shut down around 1 pm every day (brown graph). There is a faulty panel or loose cable that needs fixing. The installer has acknowledged and agreed to fix these issues, but has not shown up for inspection so far despite making multiple promises. One month has passed; now I am counting on Consumer Protection for a way out. Their lower price is not worth the trouble and the broken system, in my opinion. I do not recommend going with this company.

Fortune Solar completed the installation of solar panels and batteries within 2 weeks of my accepting their quote. The pricing information in the company's quote was transparent. I found their service reps Ash and Brinda very patient and helpful with my queries. The contractors who did the installation were punctual, professional and left the worksite spotless. I would recommend the company for anyone in the market for solar and batteries.

Sales, as one will know, chase you and promise. After installation, different matter. They use different contractors to install the product, hense quality control and standard of installation will differ. What’s worse is their staff keep using different fake names like “Jake”, “Mark”, “Phillips” and others when talking to customers, which makes communication confusing and unprofessional.
Now they have sent me a payment demand even though the system is not fully completed.
Very unprofessional company, poor communication, and zero responsibility. I strongly do NOT recommend Fortune Solar to anyone.

Ignored by [Name Removed] our sales person. Some of the work in the roof was not the best either, Insulation left off, Junction box taped up and tucked under the insulation, instead of mounted to beam. Very poor experience. Avoid the bad experience. Also after the install the fitter said to say no if and external inspector requests to Inspect (Related to roof height and there location fitment) *** BIG RED FLAGS *** Stay Away

Follow-up · Has run faultlessly getting better generation than I would have expected. They used bifacial panels that I hadn't heard of before, an yes they do increase overall productivity. Have since add 20 kWh battery an the hole system is working a treat.

appeared to be progressing normally, with confirmations from both Western Power and Fortune Solar. I was even instructed to remove an oyster light for the battery installation, which I completed on 13 March 2026 at my own cost by hiring an electrician.
Without any warning or explanation, my deposit was suddenly refunded on 17 March 2026. I received no email, call, or message.
I attempted to contact Eric multiple times with no success. I then called customer service and was told the matter would be escalated and I would receive a callback — which never happened.
Because of this, I lost the opportunity to secure another installer in time to take advantage of the full battery rebate before 1 May 2026.
This experience suggests a lack of accountability and poor communication. Customers are left to deal with the consequences while the company simply cancels and disappears.
I am currently compiling my costs and losses, considering further action.

While other companies increased their quoted price once at site, Fortune Solar remained reasonable and handled obstacles swiftly. Frank efficiently addressed issues, saving lost time as we dealt with multiple organisations. On installation day, technical and financial issues arose, but John and Ash resolved them quickly, initiating the job after lunch and nearly finishing by evening. When powering up the system, an emergency occurred. Impressively, one Fox ESS owners personally checked the battery, identified the issue and powerup the battery next day. The system is flawlessly working since then. We have not imported noticeable grid power and have been exporting ever since. I highly commend Fortune Solar's staff and organisational skills.

pricing is not very low but not also very high compared to others. And Sean, their boss, or their business consultant is very accomodating. Very truthful and frank.
I was scheduled to have my solar/battery by the end of March 2026, but I wanted to have it installed the soonest. Then Sean asked me to pay the full amount and the solar will be installed the following day. I was kind of shocked. Not because of their quick response but of my problem where to find the money.
The following day the installer KD Electric Pty Ltd was there with the Jinko panels and Sungrow battery and inverter. They removed my old 3kw solar panels and 5kw Growatt inverter and replace them with the new one. The director of KD Electric answered all my questions regarding the back up. Also Sean enlightened me about the expense of the total black out back up, so I just settled for a partial back up. The installation was not quick but they finished it even up to 9 pm, almost dark. The system was tested. It was working very well. They clean the area too.
The following day, all my electrical loads, including charging my EV were supplied from the solar/battery system. I would say, none from the grid. I am thinking now of converting all my gas appliances to electric so that I can maximise the use of my solar/battery system. This way I can have a quick ROI.
So, thank you very much Fortune Solar and KD Electric. I salute you. You are professionals.

Follow-up · No noise from battery or inverter. I have not maintained it yet, but I think it is easy to maintain because the location is accessible. They also explain the warranty in detail. No problem.

there was water pooling in my roof space, and eventually someone was sent out to fix it that evening. October 20th, 2025 - After calling Fortune Solar about an error with my inverter (error code 411, plus a NTC Temperature message) Fortune Solar contacted Growatt and communication was ongoing about the issue and how it should be fixed November 7th, 2025 - The replacement inverter was delivered November 17th, 2025 - An installer arrived to install it.the replacement inverter but mentioned "there is a problem with the sensor from the power meter - it may need Growatt to do something or you may need to send someone else out to fix it" This is a direct quote from the email I sent at 5:22PM AWST on the 17th of November No one followed up on this, and no one was sent out to fix it. November 25th, 2025 - I emailed Fortune Solar again about a second error with the inverter (error code 411, plus a NTC Temperature message) I was told to restart my system I asked for instructions on how to do that. November 27th, 2025 - I was provided with instructions on how to restart my system February 6th, 2026 - Fortune Solar finally re-submitted my application with Western Power for the increased inverter size February 10th, 2026 - Western Power accepted the application and replaced the grid meter with their new one May 29th, 2026 - I emailed Fortune Solar about a new error with the inverter (error code 401) June 1st, 2026 - Fortune Solar identified it was a meter wiring issue and suggested I check the wiring I advised I could not do that, as I am not a licensed electrician Fortune Solar advised I contact my installer ... they are the installer. Over the course of a few days I called and was called by Fortune solar. On one of the calls I mentioned to Walter that I had noticed the system hadn't been working since shortly after the new grid meter had been installed and asked if there could be an issue at that end of the system - the meter or the grid meter - Walter assured me that was all working (even though a previous issue had been reported with it and no one had fixed it) Eventually Parker called me and advised he had fixed the issue by changing some settings in the Growatt system. August 17th, 2026 - I emailed Fortune Solar about the return of the error with the inverter (error code 401) August 19th, 2026 - Fortune Solar emailed me to tell me they had contacted Growatt and some changes had been made to my system and fixed the problem August 21st, 2026 - I emailed Fortune Solar and reported that the problem had not been fixed August 24th, 2026 - Fortune Solar advised they were looking to get someone out to fix things August 27th, 2026 - Fortune Solar advised that Growatt had informed them the meter was faulty - AS HAD BEEN RELAYED TO FORTUNE SOLAR ON THE 17TH OF NOVEMBER 2025 - and would need to be replaced. August 31st, 2026 - Fortune Solar advised that Growatt would ship a new meter some time this week September 3rd, 2026 - Fortune Solar advised that Growatt had not yet shipped the new meter. September 7th, 2026 - Nothing more has been done.
After months of dealing with uninformed staff who were unable to rectify the issues associated with use of the monitoring App, Wade patiently and professionally corrected the issues. Thank you Wade.
Would not recommend. All promises at the beginning but as the deadline came closer suddenly the installers for the solar panels and battery were “unavailable” so the job won’t be completed in time for the rebate. Disappointing.
