now, my completed work, and the positive reviews from satisfied customers.

Like any trade business, not every customer will be happy, especially when a contractor refuses unreasonable demands, free extra work, or work outside the agreed scope. A complaint does not automatically mean the tradesperson is at fault, and I feel hipages should consider both positive and negative feedback fairly.

I paid money to use the platform, only to have my account cancelled. They advised that a refund would be provided less the cost of leads accepted. I have requested a clear explanation and full breakdown of the refund.

After this experience, I have lost confidence in hipages. Tradespeople deserve a fair opportunity to explain their side before decisions like this are made.

I would not recommend hipages based on my experience.

Absolutely a rip off been a member on hipages since 2017, Last 3yrs, can't get leads, always waitlisted , can have other tradies next to me , can accept leads, but I can't, call to cancel, get the usual response, I'm doing something wrong, tried to cancel , now the we want to charge me $900 to cancel, absolutely disgraceful , TRADIES SO NOT USE HI-PAGES......... We've used two so called "tradies" from HiPages. Both were bad but the 2nd so called "tradie" was potentially criminally irresponsible. "tradie" has a 4.1 star average with zero bad ratings. That's ridiculous. I doubt they'll post my scathing review either and clearly have not posted the many bad reviews they've had for this guy previously. This is misrepresentation. Obviously we would never have hired anyone with the bad reviews they've chosen not to post. It's not just misrepresentation it's actually dishonest and may even be contributory to the damages we suffered due to their failure to truthfully advise customers of the quality (or lack of) the men they send. I spoke to a representative from HiPages who admitted to me that, "HiPages were in the process of becoming more translucent" (sic). Well I will replace that adjective of "translucent" to "honest" because that's exactly what the real situation is. HiPages are dishonest and due to that dishonesty have caused us to hire a potentially criminally irresponsible person who has caused an absolute mess and destruction and endangered our health and safety. I for one will never use HiPages again and will warn all my friends.

This platform are one of the worst you will ever see in history f if you want to use poor leads and you have to work all day just to get one job or two jobs a week approved. That’s the kind of company you need to stay away from because I didn’t do the day. What are you gonna be getting 5 to 6 or eight people just for one job they’ll have your ID your address and your phone number on the top of that you’re gonna get people scamming you. I highly recommend to stay away from this company. Absolutely awful company to deal with.

I had 3 bathrooms done with HB Home Improvements. They refused to give me waterproofing certificates after 1 month of emails, calls, and smss. They gave me a warranty for the 3 bathrooms with the wrong name and a date in the future (for the day the bathrooms were complete) on the warranty. Guildford, several times and he refused to correct it, and refused to give me the certificates. I went to Hipages, and they say they can talk to HB Home Improvements but can do nothing. They are useless. I've had some very good tradies from hipages, but also dodgy ones like HB HomeImprovements who stuffed up the plumbing in my laundry, kitchen and 2 bathrooms. They continue to do unacceptable plumbing work because it is a family business and tolerate poor work from family members and the buyer's expense. They left a huge pile of rubble outside my garage from 3 bathrooms of demolition, and when the bathrooms were finished refused to take it away. They wanted to get the final payment and not take it away. 3 men and 3 trucks came and took it away and then I paid them. They also refused to give me waterproofing certificates. I would not recommend them. Hipages could stop them from using their site, but they don't.

Miles Plumbing has restored my faith in tradesmen back. Prior to finding Miles Plumbing on hipages I was mucked around with and almost paid far more than the actual cost of the job. With Hipages you are getting quotes, messages etc . Show details ·  1

prepared to wear it for a properly done job. The next time it rained it became quite obvious that there were leaks that hadn't existed prior to the work being done. When this was bought to the attention of the Plumber he claimed to have cancer and not doing any further work. Despite his claim he is still working around the town. I did attempt to bring this to Hipages attention, but there was no avenue on their website to facilitate this. Beware of dodgy tradies on the Hipages platform.

I have been with Hipages for about 2 years as a business owner and disappointing experience. Last year average lead costs was 42 credits, and now its gone to 75 credits. have increased lead prices recently and not only that. The clients they provide will never contact you because many of the leads appear to be fake or misleading. When you raise the issue with them, instead of taking responsibility, they just said we cant help they have verified email or phone number. When I asked at least return the leads credit bank they simply said no. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Save your money and avoid their service.
