from two additional (local) installers; one of whom we ended up choosing and contracting to install a 10.45 kW (22 Jinko neo panel) system with 8 kW Fronius, Symo, 3-phase inverter. No batteries are being installed; the math just did not support it but might in the future; hence the choice of Inverter. Also, no EV charging is being installed but again, the 3-phase installation, will cater for that in the future as well.
This being a new build, the Solar panels are being installed while the scaffolding for the construction is in place. The installation of the Inverter and connection to the grid will happen closer the completion of the build. And being all-electric house, we opted for a 3-phase system. The Solar Quotes website provided a very clear explanantion of the various options for connecting both single-phase and 3-phase systems to the Grid (and batteries).
This website is a great starting point if you are contemplating the installation of a Solar System or other major Electrical Appliances. It is usefull for people who are just "thinking about it" or those that are installing their second or third system or are contemplating upgrading or expanding existing systems.

Horrible customer service – The rudest customer service officer ever. Never leaves a voicemail and I can’t call back as it is a private number. When I said that if no one leaves a message then I don’t call back. He told me it was common courtesy to return a phone call. He called me 16 times tonight in 15 minutes while I was at dinner and in the end hung up on me.

PROCESS SMOOTH FROM QUOATION TO INSTALLATION – I obtained 3 quotes. One installer did not want to quote and Solar Quotes provided a replacement installer. I ended up selecting Soltek Energy because of the choice of options and reviews. I chose Winaico panels with Enphase microinverters. Installation was completed within a week of accepting the quote. Then I sought three quotes via the SolarQuotes service giving as much detail as I could in the request for quotations form, and I was quickly contacted by three suppliers who provided me with written quotes for what they thought were appropriate system(s) for my situation. SolarQuotes also helpfully provided a comparison form to use to compare the various quotes. I found this extremely useful and used it to go back to the suppliers and get detailed responses to various queries the form had raised for me. All the suppliers were very helpful in this process and were keen to provide me with all the information I needed about the suggested systems. In the end it always comes down to price and value for money, and I think I have achieved that. And it gives comfort knowing that the quotes are backed by the Good Installer Guarantee.

including the receptionist are fully versed in EV technology. I thoroughly recommend them to anyone in Victoria looking to install an EV charger. I am still perfecting the control my EV charger, solar batteries and solar panels to get the right amount of charge from each when I want to utilise the different areas, the guys at ReGenEV gave me their contact details and assured me that they are there for me if I have any questions. Again, I fully recommend ReGenEV to install and guide you through the process of selecting and installing a home charger for your EV.

used before. This company is also on the Solar Quotes web site as a silver thingy. They weren’t referred to me by solar quotes, but they are a brilliant company. I’m not sure if I should mention the companies name that I ended up going with in this review so I’ll leave that. I also want to add that after plenty of research, I am having a Sigenergy system Installed. Solar quotes have a real issue with Sigenergy and make a point to not recommend them even though they are the most popular premium system on the market right now. Solar quotes focus on the famous recall due to the issue with overheating plugs and don’t want to say much else about them. At the end of the day, Solarquotes is an excellent source of information but please also do your own research as well. If I took their word as gospel I’d not be going with Sigenergy.

solar panels+battery and solar panels only - I was about to sign up with one supplier for solar panels and then received an unexpected battery offer which was too good to refuse. Throughout the process, both quoters were friendly, not pushy, offered advice and were happy to adjust their quotes. Note: I requested my quotes in mid March 2026, which was in the crazy time ahead of the battery subsidy changes. Signed up mid March, installed 16 April and certified 28 April 2026. The installers were great, did a good job and cleaned up. Couldn't be happier with the process (even being ghosted by one quoter, dealing with 2 was enough.)

His company was the only one to actually offer a quotation and this was for installing a battery and not an additional array of solar panels and a battery. So, the Solar Quotes process worked well but the installers did not want the work because it would take time to sort out two arrays, three inverters and a battery and add another battery and solar array.Very disappointing.
