 AI reviews summary

The overall sentiment for Integrity Extended Warranties is divided between highly satisfied customers and deeply frustrated policyholders. A significant portion of users reports a seamless, fast, and professional claims process, often with approvals granted within 24 hours and direct coordination with mechanics. Conversely, a recurring segment of reviews highlights severe dissatisfaction regarding claim denials based on "wear and tear" or strict servicing intervals, the use of second-hand parts for repairs, and difficulties obtaining refunds or transfers.

Pros
Rapid Claim Processing: Numerous users report approvals within 4 to 24 hours of submitting a quote, with some claims finalised and repairs completed within a single week.
Professional Customer Service: Staff are frequently described as helpful, friendly, and supportive, particularly when guiding first-time claimants through the submission process.
Direct Mechanic Liaison: The company often handles communication and payments directly with repairers, which users found reduced their personal stress and administrative burden.
Effective for Minor to Mid-range Repairs: Many customers successfully claimed for common failures such as alternators, water pumps, starter motors, and air-conditioning components.
Cons
Restrictive Coverage & Technicalities: A significant number of claims were denied under "wear and tear" exclusions or because the specific failed part (e.g., oil pressure switches or hoses) was not explicitly listed in the policy.
Strict Servicing Requirements: Claims are frequently rejected if vehicle servicing exceeds the policy's specified time or kilometre intervals, even if the delay is minor or unrelated to the mechanical failure.
Sourcing of Used/Non-Genuine Parts: The company often only covers the cost of second-hand or aftermarket parts, leaving customers to pay the price difference if they or their mechanic insist on new or OEM components.
Refund and Transfer Difficulties: Policyholders report being unable to secure pro-rata refunds when selling their vehicles or transferring the remaining warranty to a new car purchase.
Verdict

Integrity Extended Warranties appears most effective for consumers who strictly adhere to logbook servicing and require coverage for clearly defined mechanical failures. However, potential buyers should be aware of significant out-of-pocket risks associated with part-specific exclusions, the use of refurbished components, and rigid internal policies that may lead to disputes for major engine or transmission claims.

**Extremely disappointing experience with Integrity Warranty** I purchased an Integrity extended warranty believing it would provide some protection if something went wrong with my Mercedes-Benz. $2,000 out of my own pocket for the repair.

I tried repeatedly to resolve the matter directly with Integrity, but the process involved delays, missed follow-ups and a lack of accountability. I ultimately had to escalate the complaint through the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) before any real resolution was reached.

After going through that process, Integrity eventually agreed to refund me $1,050. Even then, the payment was delayed because of what they described as an internal misunderstanding about who was responsible for arranging it.

In my experience, the warranty did not provide the protection or peace of mind I believed I was purchasing. The fact that I had to spend so much time chasing the matter and escalate it through AFCA just to recover around half of my repair costs was extremely frustrating.

I would not purchase another warranty from Integrity. I strongly recommend that anyone considering one carefully read every exclusion, claim limit and condition, and do not rely solely on how the warranty is described when it is being sold.

This review reflects my personal experience and the outcome of my complaint.

I am extremely disappointed with the way my warranty claim has been handled. I paid thousands of dollars for an extended warranty believing it would protect me from major mechanical failures. Just four months after purchasing my 2016 Audi S3 from the dealership, the timing chain stretched, causing rough idling, misfires, engine warning lights,… Read more

long cranking and leaving me with a repair quote of over $5,400.

My claim was denied on the basis of “wear and tear.” If a major engine component like a timing chain can fail only four months after purchase and still not be covered, it raises serious questions about the value of this warranty. It feels like the warranty provides peace of mind when it’s sold, but when you actually need to make a claim, exclusions are relied upon to avoid paying.

I purchased this vehicle from a licensed dealer and expected it to be of acceptable quality. I certainly did not expect to be facing a repair bill of this size after only four months of ownership. This experience has been frustrating, stressful and incredibly disappointing.

I will not be leaving this here. I intend to pursue this matter further through the appropriate channels, including Consumer Affairs Victoria, and seek advice regarding my rights under the Australian Consumer Law. I believe this matter deserves an independent review, and I hope no other customer has to go through the same experience.

I strongly encourage anyone considering purchasing this warranty to read every exclusion carefully before spending their money. My experience has left me with very little confidence in the product or the way legitimate claims are handled.

part is made of rigid aluminium with no moving parts. how can aluminium crack at 100000km be wear and tear?it is designed for 200000km+.they provided no evidence for their decision. they also demand 20 days to review but forbid me from repairing at my own cost and claiming later.no workshop holds a car for 20 days. they offer no replacement car either. their ad says full coverage but they use wear and tear as a blanket excuse for anything. they wasted my time with document requests just to deny me. this is misleading and unfair. strongly advise others to avoid this warranty provider. Now they even use the excuse say Engineering light on did not mean the car was broken down, and I can unplugged the sensor and keep driving, what a joke, seriously ?

Poor customer service they leave everything up to you and get off on delaying your warranty payment. I purchased an Integrity car warranty through Scarboro Toyota when I bought my Mercedes A45 AMG, based on assurances from the dealership’s insurance representative that major components like the gearbox would be fully covered and replaced with genuine parts if they ever failed. On that basis, I later purchased a second Integrity warranty for… Read more

another vehicle (an Audi SQ5) from an interstate dealer.

Unfortunately, my experience with Integrity has been extremely disappointing.

When the Audi SQ5 arrived, it had immediate mechanical issues (milky oil and oil in coolant), despite the dealer advertising that their vehicles undergo a 100-point comprehensive check. I also had written confirmation from the dealer stating the warranty covered “everything except tyres, batteries, light globes, scratches and servicing.” However, when I submitted a claim, Integrity declined it.

Integrity’s preferred mechanic quoted around $3,000 for work they said was not covered by the warranty, the workshop didn’t give me confidence that it was equipped for the level of repair needed. I paid for an independent assessment myself (around $1,000) with a European specialist mechanic and received a detailed quote of roughly $6,000. This was also declined by Integrity on the basis that the items were “not covered under their policy.”

The SQ5 ultimately wasn’t fit for purpose, and I had no choice but to trade it in at a significant financial loss.

Around the same time, my A45 AMG began developing unusual gearbox noises. After joining a Facebook group dedicated to sharing customer experiences with Integrity warranty claims, I became concerned and chose to sell the A45 as well to avoid potential further financial loss.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Integrity car warranty. Both vehicles ended up costing me far more than expected. From what I’ve been through, I would not choose this warranty again even though they ended up refunding $750 for the Audi SQ5 and failed to refund the warranty on the Mercedes A45 AMG.

engine needed to be repaired. This is extremely disappointing and I am disputing this in that the entire engine was impacted by the oil pump failure, in particular the turbo charger being seized due to oil starvation.  All this is in the report. However Integrity / iWarranty dont agree and only covered for the oil pump and labour. Surely one with mechanical knowledge in Integrity understands that a failed oil pump will no longer pump oil to the Turbo charger as it too requires oil lubrication amongst other moving mechanical parts requiring lubrication. I paid $2700.00 for the Absolute Level 2 extended warranty and I feel let down. Please review your assessment to cover the maximum claim amount of what I understand it to be $5000.00

Also, the claim consultant was rude and was talking over me entirely.

Integrity have not stated that the servicing did not cause the failure — denying my claim because it didn’t fit their own interpretation of servicing requirements- breaching Australian consumer laws.

To be honest I don't know where to start with this, I have made a claim today for my Jeep Wrangler JK 2008 for a failed alternator, which caused my car battery to fail (bear in mind the battery was only 7 months old or so), I get that the car battery is not covered in the warranty but it wouldn't have need replaced without the alternator failing… Read more ·  4

to charge my car battery. The alternator needs replaced now, which they have approved, but when I called to ask regarding the amount and parts, they said they have sourced pre-owned alternator and would only cover total of 685 dollars for the whole claim, after my mechanic provided them the qoute, as well the policy saying that they would cover up to 1250 dollars. My mechanic was quite suprised that integrity is sourcing a pre-owned alternator, when a new one should be placed. I have previously also submitted a claim for my power steering box, which was listed in my warranty, but they have rejected the claim and I have replaced out of my own pocket. To be honest, I'm not sure if I would use the same warranty in the future, when things that are listed from the warranty were rejected, or just replaced with "cheaper" solutions.

They will find whatever reason they can not to pay your claim. I had two vehicles covered by Integrity Warranty, and both claims were rejected. The first claim was for a faulty thermostat. assuming there would be no issue since it was their own authorised repairer. The claim was rejected because I had not waited for their approval before the repair was completed. Lesson learned.

The second claim was for my Audi, where the body control module had failed and required replacement. During the repair, the workshop also identified that the starter motor needed replacing. I submitted the claim along with the complete service history. However, Integrity rejected the claim because they found that one service, completed a couple of years earlier, had been carried out in the first week of February instead of December. Like many people, I delayed it slightly because of the Christmas and New Year holiday period when many businesses were closed.

Based solely on that, they claimed my warranty had been inactive ever since, despite all subsequent services being completed and the delayed service being only a routine oil change. As a result, I was left with an $8,000 repair bill.

Their contract states that claims will be assessed fairly and reasonably, but that was not my experience. I had purchased the Absolute Cover—the highest level of protection they offer—for peace of mind. Unfortunately, when I needed to make a claim, that peace of mind simply wasn’t there.

Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend avoiding Integrity Warranty.

I am writing this review to issue a severe warning to all car buyers: Do NOT purchase any warranty products from Integrity Extended Warranty. They engage in deceptive sales practices and operate with an absolute lack of business ethics. In August 2024, I purchased their highly recommended "Level 4 Extended Warranty" through the Midland MG… Read more

dealership. At the time of sale, their representative explicitly assured me that this premium cover was "identical to a manufacturer's original warranty" and would "cover everything." I still hold clear, black-and-white text message evidence of this exact conversation. My car ran without issues until about a month ago when the right headlight failed. I strictly followed their procedures and took the vehicle to an Integrity-authorized repair shop. Upon inspection, the mechanics identified three issues, including the headlight, with a total repair estimate of approximately $10,000. When the claim was submitted, Integrity flatly stated they would only cover a measly $1,800 out of the $10,000, claiming the remaining major components fell under their "excluded parts." Disturbed by this blatant contradiction to what I was promised, I formally requested an Internal Review of the decision. After making me wait for nearly three weeks, they finally replied today with a completely useless response. The core message of their email was essentially: "We will not pay, we do not care, and everything is hidden in the fine print." Most shockingly, they attempted to completely wash their hands of the matter by stating that the salesperson who misled me worked for Midland MG, not directly for Integrity, so they bear zero responsibility. They concluded their email with an incredibly arrogant attitude, essentially telling me that if I wanted to lodge a complaint with Consumer Protection, I should go ahead because they are not afraid. Faced with their refusal to honor their product, I offered a reasonable alternative: if they refused to cover the repairs, they should fully refund the thousands of dollars I paid for this useless policy, and I would fund the repairs myself. They refused this as well, hiding behind yet another clause stating that refunds are impossible outside a 14-day cooling-off period. To summarize my experience with Integrity: they happily take your hard-earned money based on false promises, but when a major claim arises, they hide behind fine print, deflect blame onto the dealership, refuse refunds, and exhibit an utterly shameless attitude toward their customers. This company is an absolute scam. I will be taking this matter directly to Consumer Protection and the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA). Save your money, protect yourself, and stay far away from Integrity Extended Warranty.

Sure we should have read more into this policy and avoided being bullied by the dealer to buy the policy. Just be aware folks, there is no pro rata refund if you sell the vehicle before the end of the policy. You can transfer the policy, but it has to be within 7 days so if you are trading the car at a dealer there is no guarantee the dealer will take the policy. Ensure you get the full policy documents within the 14 days. Hopefully at some point EDS will get hung out.
