Overall sentiment regarding Presidian Group is sharply divided, with the majority of reviewers reporting positive, seamless experiences characterised by fast claim approvals and professional customer service. Conversely, a subset of negative reviews highlights significant frustration regarding strict policy exclusions, rejected claims for specific mechanical or electrical issues, and difficulties associated with cancellations or policy transfers. Consumers considering this product are advised to thoroughly read the fine print and understand specific coverage limitations before purchase.
Very disappointing warranty experience – Presidian / Platinum Warranty I purchased a Platinum Warranty for my 2017 BMW X1 and recently lodged a claim for a sunroof issue. BMW Doncaster provided a repair quotation of $2,500.11, including $1,787.50 for 6.5 hours of labour. Presidian authorised only $2,021.83, stating that their maximum approved… Read more
labour rate is $242 per hour.
My concern is that the warranty policy I was provided does not state a $242 per hour labour limit. Section 2.9 simply states that the warranty will pay the “reasonable cost” to repair failed covered components, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.
I asked Presidian to identify the specific clause in my warranty that allows them to impose this $242/hour limit. Instead, they maintained their decision and advised me that any labour costs above their internal rate would be my responsibility.
What I find particularly disappointing is that the $242/hour limit was not clearly stated in the warranty document I received. Customers should be able to understand the actual limits of their warranty before paying for it and relying on it when something goes wrong.
I am not objecting to reasonable claim limits being applied. My concern is the lack of transparency regarding the labour-rate limit and the way it has been applied to my claim.
Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that anyone considering this warranty carefully read the terms and specifically ask about labour-rate limits and how “reasonable costs” are determined before purchasing.
Very disappointing experience and not what I expected from a warranty product that I paid for to provide peace of mind.
I highly recommend purchasing this Presidian Car warrenty for peach of mind for used cars. Team is very helpful and make sure to look after their customers propery. Show details

I’ve been with Presidian for around 3 years and my experience has been excellent from start to finish. The policy was easy to set up and offers very good value, especially for newer and higher-end vehicles. Whenever I’ve lodged a claim, the process has been smooth and efficient. Most of my claims were approved and resolved within a few days to a… Read more · 1
maximum of two weeks, which is very impressive. They covered repairs on my BMW, including a front electronics module issue and oil leaks, with no hassle. The communication was clear, the turnaround time was quick, and the whole process felt streamlined and stress-free. Having this warranty has definitely been worth it for the peace of mind alone. I highly recommend Presidian to anyone purchasing a modern or premium vehicle, and I will absolutely be using them again for my next car. Thank you to the team for the great service.
Very satisfied with both times I’ve needed to claim on my warranty covering my 2016 Mercedes. No issues getting items covered in a fast and efficient manner. Very glad I took out the policy when I bought my car. Show details · 1
Amazing service. Very easy to make the claim and was approved the same day. Patrick was very helpful and understood my situation as I live in the country and only have certain mechanics that are more like a one stop shop. Definitely recommend this company for extended car warranties. Show details · 1

I had another incident today, I gave them a call to check if they covered headlight, my Audi wasnt safe to drive but had no choice. Everytime I turned on left signal, both signal light in the headlights turned on causing chaos at roundabout. I told them it needs a headlight housing replaced and asked if they would cover it. They asked me to get… Read more
it inspected by licensed mechanic, and they said the same thing, after wasting 10 days roaming 7 workshop, a claim was put through and it was rejected. Why bother wasting everyones time if they are just going to reject it. Poor support and trash warranty. Waste of money.
I strongly recommend not to buy it. Anything you can think of can go wrong; they dont cover. Trust me, I own 8 cars as I am car enthusiasts, had plenty of experience with warranties over the years. All are trash but you pay extra money for presidian to buy the same trash. Go with National or integrity or something cheap if you are desperate. But it’s waste of money. I paid 3.5k and did not get sump pan approved, nor headlight actuator motor fault covered. Nothing, nada.. Zero…
And they sell it saying it’s new car warranty.
Volvo claim approved – I had managed to apply my claim with pictures and quote from volvo after reading through the small print of my warranty. I gave it a go through email and what do you know. I got it approved. I am over the moon. Thank you for the quick response and follow up. Show details · 1

response within 2-3 days. I highly recommend getting this for any second-hand car (or if your car warranty is expiring and you want to extend it). The best thing is the extended warranty is against the car so if you plan to sell the car the warranty is an added value to the car.
Follow-up · My warranty is an extension of the original volvo warranty covering most of what Volvo original warranty covers. No costs to me, but it depends on the quote and price from volvo. There is a cap on certain items and a cap on hourly rates. Claim was a breeze, just make sure your service book is up to date. They have a portal for you to upload… Read more

I purchased a 5-year car warranty in good faith, expecting fair and transparent terms. After recently selling my car privately, I contacted the company to request the cancellation/claim form. It took multiple emails just to receive a response, which was already frustrating and unprofessional. My husband then had to call to get a clear answer,… Read more
only to be told that we were not entitled to any refund or remaining warranty value because the car was sold privately. This was never disclosed or explained to us at the time of purchase. Had this critical condition been made clear, we would have seriously reconsidered purchasing the warranty in the first place.
The lack of transparency, poor communication, and failure to properly explain the terms is extremely disappointing. It feels misleading and unfair to sell a long-term warranty without clearly outlining such important limitations.
Based on this experience, I would strongly advise others to be very cautious, and I would not use this company again.

I bought a 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan and I had heard that gearboxes were a problem with these cars so when I was offered a warranty with my car, I decided to purchase it. It cost me $3000. generally would cover oil leaks in a new car. The second time I claimed was for a Mechatronic unit for the DSG gearbox to my astonishment it was covered. They covered $2700 for the repairs. I had to pay difference of about $300. I'm not sure why but I had to. Recently I have had to make another claim on the gearbox. This time on the DSG clutch in the exclusions. I read clutch linings were not covered. But to my amazement they have just approved $3800 for the repair again. I will have to pay a difference. Apparently the repairer has quoted for 15 hours labour but Presidian have only covered 10 hours which is fine by me. The majority of the cost is going to be covered by the warranty. So in my experience, it has been well worth the purchase of this warranty. The staff when you call are always very nice and communicate well. Showing my experience this has been a good one. I am glad I purchased it now.

I had an exceptionally reliable vehicle during my 5 year tenure with Presidian, though there were two isolated sensor claims, both of which were approved. The second claim took a few weeks to resolve as they never replied to the repair facility's email and I had to chase them up as it were. . This was a minor annoyance and overall I am satisfied… Read more · 1
with them. The same cannot be said for Integrity Warranty, which may or may not be affiliated with Presidian. Presidian was, overall, easy to deal with; Integrity is like trying to pull teeth from a jackal, they are (deliberately ?) extremely difficult to deal with it isn't worth the headache, I would honestly prefer paying completely out of pocket than to ever deal with Integrity car warranty. I will be buying another car imminently and will consider Presidian but certainly not Integrity. As an aside, my next vehicle purchase will be anywhere but a place called Scarboro Toyota, who are the dirtiest players in the game in Western Australia. :)

I've had a Presidian Platinum extended warranty on my Jeep Wrangler since December 2022. with Presidian directly and you get email updates as the claim progresses. When one of their repairers closed down, their team referred me to another without fuss, and a diagnostic fee I'd paid was reimbursed to my bank account within a couple of days of approval. The phone team on the claims line have been consistently easy to deal with. For an eleven-year-old 4WD, the warranty has more than paid for itself.
From the time I made first contact the system worked quickly once report in and JMC supplied all information required claim passed I would recommend anyone buying a vehicle for the extra 2,850.00 for 5 year warranty money well spent Show details · 1

It's junk to be honest. If you read through their exclusions they have very cleverly worded to deny you claim in almost every scenario. diagnostic fee again so they can have substantial evidence to support their initial denial reason. lol. Considering my warranty was ending soon, I found a cheaper aftermarket part on Aliexpress otherwise I would have dragged it to ACCC. The customer rep are also very impertinent and will cut you off midway while you're talking and keep stressing upon what's written in terms and condition. You might only consider for some mechanical parts provided you have a robust servicing history (no delays etc) with all the proofs but still not worth it if your car is in decent condition from a decent make.

If you are considering purchasing a dealership extended warranty administered by Presidian (Davantage), I strongly recommend you understand exactly how the claims process works before signing. consumer experiences my family has ever faced.
When my vehicle developed significant engine problems, Mercedes-Benz Canberra diagnosed the engine as requiring replacement. Rather than authorising the recommended engine replacement, Presidian authorised an alternative repair strategy through another repairer.
Over the next 18 months, my vehicle underwent two major engine rebuilds. Despite these extensive repairs, the underlying issues were never resolved.
One thing I did not appreciate when purchasing the extended warranty was that, although it was sold through the dealership, the claim would ultimately be managed by the warranty administrator. In my experience:
I was required to organise repeated and extensive diagnostic work before claims would progress. The repair strategy was determined by the warranty administrator, not by me. I had no ability to choose who repaired my vehicle. The original recommendation from Mercedes-Benz Canberra to replace the engine was not followed.
Unfortunately, the situation only became worse.
When the vehicle was returned after months in the repairer's possession, it had sustained additional damage that had never been disclosed to me. The damage appeared to have been polished rather than openly acknowledged, and the interior had also suffered significant rodent damage while the vehicle was in the repairer's care.
Following the second engine rebuild, Presidian requested that I obtain yet another independent diagnosis from Mercedes-Benz Canberra.
That inspection identified:
Multiple coolant leaks. Multiple engine oil leaks. Active Curve System hydraulic faults. Approximately $10,000 worth of additional repairs immediately after the vehicle had been returned following its second engine rebuild.
Mercedes-Benz Canberra ultimately advised that the vehicle was unsafe to drive and recommended that it not be driven. I had no option but to have the vehicle towed home.
The most disappointing part has been what happened next.
I notified Presidian of Mercedes-Benz Canberra's findings and advised that, after two major engine rebuilds, the vehicle had again been found with significant oil and coolant leaks and declared unsafe to drive. I also advised that my family was once again left without the use of our vehicle.
Despite the seriousness of the situation, I received no acknowledgement of my correspondence, no phone call and no proposed solution.
After approximately 18 months, repeated diagnostics, interstate transport, two major engine rebuilds, significant time without the use of our family vehicle and countless hours trying to resolve this matter, we were left with no option but to engage solicitors, formally reject the vehicle under the Australian Consumer Law, and lodge complaints with the relevant consumer authorities.
In my experience, the extended warranty did not provide the protection or peace of mind that I believed I was purchasing. Instead of resolving the underlying issue, it resulted in repeated repairs that ultimately left us with a vehicle that Mercedes-Benz Canberra deemed unsafe to drive.
We purchased what should have been a premium family vehicle for approximately $120,000. Today, it is an undriveable vehicle sitting in our driveway while we pursue legal action in an effort to recover our losses.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend a warranty administered by Presidian (Davantage). I hope no other customer has to endure what my family has experienced.
If anyone is thinking about obtaining a extended car warranty from Presidian, PLEASE DONT it is a scam, I had an issue with my Audi Q2 automatic transmission. Great piece of mind having this warranty on my older Porsche as parts are expensive. Presidian Warranty Car Care - Complete waste of money - don't bother. Typical insurance provider, more focused on finding technical reasons to decline claims. So keep that in mind when dealing with Presidian. And dont let the BMW Car Dealer convince you to take out the Presidian Extended Warranty - because they grab their commission and then point the finger, to then having their hand out. Show details

Presidian, I have been using them as the extra warranty protection for my past 3 used vehicles. Recently, I had issues with two of my cars. In my experience, Presidian extended warranty was a complete waste of money. It feels like they only cover minor parts while major mechanical failures are excluded or difficult to claim.
