I had the solar panels and solar batteries installed in late February this year after three months of delay. of them (except three panels) on two flat roofs without tilt legs. The three panels were installed on another pitch roof. The layout was completely different from what was agreed. They also failed clear the rubbish from my house. When I made a compliant to Solar Miner, they only refunded me the money for the tilt legs after I logged a complaint to Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV). Their explanation to CAV is that it is not technically feasible to install tilt legs on my roof. I ultimately got another qualified solar system installer to reinstall the solar panels on tilt legs. The installation passed the inspection. Efficiency of the system immediately increased by 30% at least. That proved that the so called explanation was just lies or excuses with basis. Even more ridiculous, I just received the inverter cable tray cover via courier from the inverter manufacturer yesterday. As a layman, I don’t have a clue that a cover is missing from the inverter. Solar Miner or their installer has never advised me that. Very busy services and poor technical knowledge. I still have to figure out if I need to install the cable tray cover or not.
I should have read their recent reviews before purchasing from them for the 3rd time. Recently I purchased sofar battery from them. Installers left a mess. On 19th august monday they were supposed to call me and have the monitoring setup on the phone. malcom who didnt even have the details to complete my setup. Fast forward to today 5th of September this guy calls me and says ouu i have a list of people to call can i call you back after 2 hours. I clearly told him that this was a tenanted property and i wont be here and he kept teying to reschedule and tell me to wait for him to call another day. What an absolute joke these guys called me 10 times on the same day when they were selling their product and this happens after the sale is actually completed. I am pretty sure once something goes pear shaped with my purchase they will also start avoiding. Never buying anything else from them and also future purchasers beware.

itself. The crew that came out were fantastic, professional, and really knew their stuff. Everything was completed to a very high standard and we were very impressed with the final result. We are now waiting to see the new performance over the next two months to see if we need more panels or storage.
Where I think Solar Miner could improve is in their approach to communication. While waiting for our funds to clear, despite already having paid a deposit, we were contacted no less than five times by different sales reps asking if we wanted solar or a battery installed. At one point it felt like we were being called every other day, even though the decision had already been made and we were simply waiting for the green light to proceed. On top of that, there have been repeated requests for this review.
To be clear, my five-star rating is for the installation team, because those guys really were excellent, both back in 2018 and again in 2025. The only suggestion I would give Solar Miner is to relax a little with the follow-ups. Your work and your service speak for themselves, and there’s no need to push so hard. Overall though, we are extremely happy customers and would happily recommend Solar Miner to anyone considering solar or battery storage.

The electrical workmanship was shoddy, and the installers left a loose screw which, according to an electrician who was on site later the same day and removed it, was a serious fire hazard. shade all year long, on a single string with a standard inverter, meaning the panels' performance will be crippled throughout the year. They never conducted a site visit to validate their proposed placement, but I could tell it was wrong with a single glance. Attempts to negotiate a fix with the company resulted in the sales rep blocking my number. The service line told me they would fix it, but I never received a call from the installers and the service line stopped taking my calls. The receptionist sighed theatrically when I gave my name for millionth time. Never once did I receive a phone call or email from them. Eventually I had to threaten them with VCAT. Finally, when I wouldn't shut up, the installer contacted me and requested a new roof design, which I provided, with help from an accredited solar installer. Two weeks later and Solar Miner have still not responded to the installer's request for approval, so I still don't know whether consumer arbitration will be required to finally get action. The absolute worst experience I've had with a company of this kind. DO NOT USE.
I have paid a full amount of balance on the the installation date, but the installation is not completed as on the written quote, I have tried to contact them so many time in the last three weeks and they replied promised will be complete in 1 or two days and said that will call back but never..... ....sWITCHBOARD LOOK TERRIBLE
Solar Miner installed a battery, but it wasn't connected. I waited for over six months, constantly calling but no one came to fix it. Finally, I contacted another solar energy company and paid out of pocket to get the battery connected. Connected battery . Solar Miner Left my house in a disgusting state with rubbish everywhere. Wish l took pictures of the rubbish at the install location. They even parked next to my bins but couldnt be bothered cleaning up after themselves.
Now Ignoring my emails requesting them to come back and rectify the issues. Zero support from them for something under warranty that was never done properly.
Will have to seek legal avenues for refund or to force them to come back.

Fast but unfortunately wrong installation. After service is very bad. Took them almost 6 months to fix all the mistakes. That was after I told them I will involve the Office of Fair Trading. Still not all mistakes fixed. Emails are simply ignored. Worst culprit Malcom. Totally unreliable!! Would not use them!

their mistakes, it took almost six months before my solar system was finally operational.
After all that, the system only worked for about five months before it stopped working again. For something that is supposed to be a long-term investment, this is simply unacceptable.
To make matters even worse, I'm now being told that two out of the three smart meters are missing and that I need to pay for their replacement. No other trades have attended my property apart from those arranged by this company, so I completely reject the suggestion that I should be held responsible. This has raised serious concerns for me about how the meters went missing during the work carried out at my property.
Throughout this entire process, communication has been poor, accountability has been non-existent, and customer service has been incredibly disappointing. Instead of taking responsibility for the issues caused by their installation, they have tried to shift the cost and blame onto the customer.
I would strongly advise anyone considering this company to think twice. My experience has been nothing but delays, poor workmanship, faulty installation, repeated system failures, and ongoing frustration. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Ordered a battery and solar installation back in October 2025 (Gold Coast based). Was initially told it would be installed by mid-November. consistently ignored. I have also received a false claim today that someone had attempted to contact me when no such attempt was made.
Most concerning is the fact that an installation was scheduled for today, and no one attended. There was no notice, no communication, and no explanation. This is completely unprofessional.
At this point, I have lost all confidence in your ability to deliver the agreed service. I therefore require a full refund of my deposit to be processed immediately.
If I do not receive confirmation of the refund within 5 business days, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter further. This will include lodging formal complaints with consumer protection authorities and pursuing legal action to recover my funds, along with any additional costs incurred.
I strongly advise you to treat this matter with urgency.

didn't happen and only received a partial refund and a referral bonus after endless escalations. They are now ghosting me regarding a $1500 travel voucher that was part of the deal (requested an alternative - ignored).
If you want a company that actually fulfills its contract without being forced to, look elsewhere.
After installation of battery system, electrical inspector noted issue with battery installation. I contacted Solar Miner for rectification; that was 2 months ago... still waiting for a fix. I also wanted a copy of the CES to no avail. Solar Miner has been unhelpful in resolving the problem and they don't seem to show any care to resolve the non compliant work. Have installed batteries in our home and then abandoned them. They didn’t have room to wire into our existing switchboard do they let the batteries go flat ( you can’t let lithium batteries go flat they are now useless) and will not respond to any communication. took our money. Thousands on dollars and now we are spending hours compiling evidence to submit to the ombudsman and consumer affairs. What a horrible, shonky operator. We want a working battery but they have dumped these useless batteries in our garage. Now we can get a battery because these ones need to be removed first but they will not do that or give me my money back.

Don’t trust this company, they are not honest, they only tell me that I only get state government rebate, and when I ask what other rebate that I get he disconnected my call.
