I originally chose the wrong insurance but after speaking to someone on the phone, who was incredibly helpful managed to swap or over to the correct service. Love this company, had many dealings with them and all positive, even when my mum fell in Sri Lanka and shattered her leg, they airlifted her home and were great to deal with then. Easy to take out the insurance. Unfortunately we had to cut our 6 week trip short (after 15 days of being away) and come back for our daughter who broke both legs and was wheelchair bound. upon arrival in Australia. We had not booked anything ahead for the rest of the 4 weeks so the claim was pretty straight forward. Train fares to the nearest capital city and then air fares from Europe to Sydney. Claim was put thru asap and accepted and a claim manager assigned to me. The claim manager ask me to provide the same documents I had provided with the initial claim. I provided them again. Then radio silence. Upon following up I was assigned another claims manager who asked me to provide the same documents again. I did this further 3 times with new claims managers. It took a few stern emails and a lawyer's opinion to get them to honour the claim. Overall it took over 3 months to get our money back. Meanwhile i was paying interest on the extra amount i had to put on the credit card to get back home asap.

Went away on a holiday in December, had an accident with my hire car. Sent through all the necessary documents straight away as requested. Took six months to get a payout from them with about 15 calls in between and countless headaches. They don’t really care. trust fake reviews here of people who never made a claim. Some maybe offered rewards to write fake positive reviews or maybe employees. When I fell sick abroad, they didn't contact me. I paid money to hospital and return ticket and when I returned to Australia, they told me "you did not proof of travel" and I had given them tickets, copies of visas, transit hotel in Singapore and its in public record the Abu Dhabi Air space was closed on 3/03/2026, yet they paid nothing. I got abused and bullied for filling a claim and may have to go to court. Would be good for class action by others who got injured

This policy was well priced and easy to set up. We haven't travelled overseas for a very long time and were unsure who to booked with, but this company is always used by our friends who travel regularly. Even though we are both over 70 we weren't penalised by unrealistic demands and premiums. Hopefully we won't need to claim when we travel in October. Show details
