I’m writing this because I’m genuinely upset and hurt by the way I was treated by Splend Sydney. I work long hours 6am to 6pm every day and I’ve… Read more

explained this multiple times when they kept calling to book an appointment. I wasn’t avoiding anything; I simply couldn’t attend during those hours.

But today, things went from frustrating to shocking.

I received a call from a staff member named Joel head of collections , and the way he spoke to me was completely unacceptable. He wasn’t just rude he was dismissive, confrontational, and made me feel like I was a problem instead of a customer. He told me he was “frustrated,” and instead of trying to help me find a solution, he focused more on pushing me out of the car.

When I called back to clarify things, he doubled down. He told me he was “the boss in his department” and that “nobody can tell him what to do.” Hearing that from someone who is supposed to support customers was honestly shocking. It felt like he was trying to intimidate me rather than assist me.

I’ve never experienced anything like this with Splend Melbourne their customer service is exceptional. They listen, they communicate respectfully, and they genuinely try to help. The difference between Melbourne and Sydney is unbelievable. And I know I’m not the only one many people have had similar experiences with Sydney staff and they speak up but nothing was done.

I’m writing this review because this isn’t just about me. No customer should be made to feel small, disrespected, or pushed around. Splend Sydney desperately needs better training in communication, empathy, and professionalism. I hope management sees this and takes real action, because customers deserve better. I will be here everyday until something is done about it.

frustrating and unreliable. Their website and emails confidently state “not to worry, there are more available in the area,” which turned out to be completely misleading. Availability was nowhere near what was advertised, and there seemed to be little to no effort to verify the actual status of their hosts before taking bookings. What’s most concerning is that it feels like they are quick to take your money without ensuring they can deliver on what’s promised. When issues arise, responsiveness is poor, and there’s no sense of accountability or urgency to resolve problems. Overall, a very disappointing experience that I would not recommend. 1 star

**★☆☆☆☆** Flexicar has managed to turn a simple car-sharing service into an exercise in frustration. The app is painfully slow and you can… Read more

apparently be charged a late fee even when you're at the car on time trying to end your booking. Apparently the customer's clock matters down to the minute, but the app's processing time doesn't.

Then there's the petrol reimbursement. You're told to wait **5–10 business days** for money to be returned to your credit card. It's a card transaction, not an international wire transfer. Why does a reimbursement take days?

And let's not even get started on the condition of some of the vehicles. I've had two separate vehicles with issues. One had an empty windscreen washer reservoir, meaning I had to supply the washer fluid myself. Another had windscreen wipers that were not fit for purpose. I've also used a vehicle being charged at a premium rate where the multimedia system repeatedly turns itself off.

And Customer Service? Pretty much pointless. Unless it's something directly related to making or managing a booking, they can't seem to deal with even a basic invoice or billing question. Instead, you're told to send an email and wait.

So you've got a slow app, questionable late fees, painfully slow reimbursements and a Customer Service team that can't actually resolve basic customer service issues.

If you're going to charge customers for every minute, who do I send the invoice to for the time I've had to spend writing emails to resolve problems that your customer service team should have been able to handle?
