brisbane domestic terminal which i have to take a free shuttle bus to collect my car? Family of 3 with 3 Luggage take free shuttle bus from international airport to domestic terminal. That the best service i ever get. I Rental car for 8 days. And last day I return and Reached brisbane international airport, but saw No staff at the counter. I dropped my car key in the key box and proceeded to the check in counter to collect my boarding pass. Reached singapore. Few days later I received a email, say I returned my car late at 3pm? I have to email to brisbane airport that 3pm i am already in the Air. I need to be at the airport 3 hrs before flight, as my flight is 2.45pm departure. And I return my car within the 30min grace period. Have to submit my E ticket and my Boarding pass to show brisbane airport. Luckily I still keep my boarding pass and E ticket. Or I have to pay the additional late charges. Overall car is great . No worries just a updates to help redspot to improve better. And lastly I will give 5 Star for their excellent service.

tiny windscreen chips that we are certain were not caused during our rental. With two passengers in the car at no time did we hear one stone, let alone two, hit the screen.

The chips were not visible to the naked eye on our pre rental inspection — no normal person would have spotted them.

Bargain puts the onus solely on the driver to have photo or video proof that the chips existed prior, without needing to do so themselves.

Make sure you read the negative reviews before renting with Bargain. We will never rent from them again.

damage report numbers (like "#1724607") so there's no way of knowing when picking up the vehicle if any pre-existing damage has been recorded - so I had to spend time submitting a (probably unnecessary) damage report before starting my trip.

$313, but when I arrived to collect it I was told the vehicle had "no insurance." I specifically asked, "Not even third-party?" and was told "No."

Based on that information, I felt I had no choice but to pay an additional $290 for the optional cover, as I believed I would otherwise be driving an uninsured vehicle.... alternatively cancel the booking in which I would lose the $313 I'd already paid.

After reviewing my rental agreement, I discovered it actually states there is standard third-party property damage liability with a $5,000 excess, and the optional cover simply reduced that liability. Had this been explained clearly, I would have been able to make an informed decision instead of feeling pressured into purchasing the additional cover.

There were other inconsistencies as well. I was verbally told my reduced excess would be $550, yet the contract stated $990. When I questioned this, I was told it "had to be written that way." When I returned the vehicle and raised my concerns, I was told it was "too bad" because I had signed the contract.

I was also told that because I had paid with a debit card, purchasing the additional cover was a requirement, but that if I had paid with a credit card I wouldn't have needed to buy it. This was never explained to me before I paid. Instead, I was simply directed to a small notice on the wall behind the counter after the fact. Important conditions like this should be clearly explained to customers before they are asked to pay hundreds of dollars in additional charges.

The collection process was also frustrating. I was initially late to collecting the vehicle, they called me at 2.30 and told mw they had to leave the office for one hour and to arrive from 3.30. I arrived at 3.30 and they weren't there... i came back 20 mins later and they still weren't there... when I called them they said they would be another 30 minutes. By the time I finally collected the car it was around 4:15 pm after a 13-hour journey with three exhausted young children. It was hardly an environment where customers should be expected to notice multiple notices on the wall or decipher complex insurance terms without them being properly explained.

My issue is not that optional cover exists—it's that I don't believe the options were explained honestly or transparently. Businesses should be upfront about what is included, what is optional, and any payment-related requirements before asking customers to sign a contract or pay additional charges. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience.

Be very careful with what you are paying for and what you are getting. My interactions with the owner and the "receptionist" both felt toxic and unprofessional.

They clearly don't like dealing with the public.

Avoid at all costs.

Cut price care rentals in Coolangatta or sufers-rent-a car much better service and transparency, go there instead...even if you end up paying a little more!!

chance and made a booking. The communication from the booking all the way through was outstanding, we could relax knowing everything was taken care of. Tina was at the airport when we arrived, and chatted with us all the way to the depot. The car was clean and well maintained and perfect for our needs. The prices are great and as they state, we weren't charged any "extras" what we were quoted is exactly what we paid (unlike other car hire). We were picked up in the Gold Coast and dropped of in Brisbane after hours without issues. The Service is so far above the big car hire companies I wouldn't recommend anyone else for a trip to the Gold Coast. If I could rate 10 stars I would! A big thank you for a seamless hire!
