Alvin was great to deal with he followed through with all aspects of our trip. he handled cancelled excursions and refunds without any problems. he was helpful with information such as car rental excess etc. I would like to deal with Alvin on our next trip with Australian Escapes Regards Paul Bowe. The holiday was the best , Hotel was 100% right in the middle of everything, their was not additional fees everything was great, flights were good as well, only thing i would say is that the booking process where you have to ring and leave a message is not always ok, when you need to talk to someone right away. Thank you for you email and yes we had the most amazing trip. The food was next level delicious, I don't think we ever had a bad meal. Everything you guys organised was near perfect, from the fights, to transfers to the accommodation was really good. The activities were great and we meet some wonderful people from all over the world. We are very… Read more · 1
happy that we got to do these great activities. The itinerary that was set up was very easy to understand and use. We are very grateful for the work you guys put in that gave us the opportunity to have the best holiday we have ever had, so again thank you. The premium economy fights are way more comfortable and way less strain on the body. The only thing is probably need a bit more luggage weight. We are looking forward to our next adventure within the next 2 - 3 years.

Sandy was so careful, precise and genuinely caring with the organisation of my recent holiday to Singapore witch my daughter. She understood what we were looking for and didn’t disappoint. Even when the airline delayed the flight be 26 hours she contacted our accommodation, the private car, and a city tour company to rearrange dates and times. We… Read more · 1
felt very safe. Everything was organised and clear. Her communication with us was impeccable. If she was not able to speak with us she maintained excellent email communication. We both felt safe at all times. We are very thankful for Sandy and her part to play in the success of our amazing holiday. There were no surprise or additional fees on our trip. Our expectations were well and truly met. Sandy went above and beyond.

The resort holiday to Fiji matched our expectations perfectly. Everything was well organised and the accommodation was without fault. All prearranged tours were very interesting and used local guides, who were fabulous. Show details · 1

My husband and I were very happy with the holiday that was booked for us through Australian Escapes. We stayed 5 nights at the Double Tree by Hilton in Alice Springs, the room was very comfortable, the breakfast buffet was more than adequate and all the pre booked Activities were very well organised and conducted, all the sub contractors were very… Read more · 1
friendly and professional. We travelled to Uluru by bus we found the driver very friendly and competent. Arriving in Uluru we stayed Desert Gardens Hotel we were again very impressed with our accommodation and all the activities provided.
This was our first trip to New Zealand and we were keen to have the trip planned but flexible with travel times leaving and arriving at our accommodation The tailored package that was developed for our specific interest's by the consultant exceeded our expectations and we feel that the itinerary and accommodation was great value for the money and the time available to us. Our Australian Escape contact Alvin has gone above and beyond to help us enjoy our first overseas trip, a few little things we needed help with and he sorted them out with no problems, very helpful and courteous, our trip to Hobbit movie set was amazing. Show details · 1
Trip to Vietnam 18 Days north to south excellent! Travelled into Hanoi and 2 internal flights from Hanoi to Da Nang and Hue to Ho Chi Minh. Visited all the sights from North to South arranged by our Travel agent Sandy. We also had an excellent travel agent in Hanoi by the name of Tammy who was our prime contact in Vietnam if anything went wrong.… Read more · 1
The only unexpected event was being left behind in Sapa when another couple took our bus seats, but Tammy arranged another bus (just for us) and the trip back to Hanoi was nice and quiet on a bus just to ourselves. Our trip was well planned, good motels, great activities and our different tour guides were all very good and spoke good English. We went to Vietnam to celebrate our 40th Wedding anniversary and it was a wedding anniversary which we will never forget! The Vietnamese people are beautiful and very welcoming and it is a place that should be experienced in ones lifetime, especially the traffic in Ho Chi Minh City!

Bali vacation in November 2025 for our anniversary, and Sandy made it all happen with a fantastic trip. Our accommodation in Legian was amazing, food and staff especially. The hotel was around 15 minutes' walk to the busy strips, but the hotel offered a shuttle service. Ubud is a beautiful place, and we stayed at the Ankara resort which again… Read more · 1
offers a shuttle into town. Can't knock the food and hospitality either. We upgraded to a pool villa which I thought was worth it.
The tours and transfers were all on time, flights were easy - we used Garuda. Both resorts helped us celebrate Balinese style, so thanks Sandy & team for making our time memorable.

My wife anda I had a very pleasant week on Norfolk Island. Our flights and pick up worked very well. The accommodation at Coral proved to be excellent with excellent facilities and surroundings. It was necessary to hire a car to get around the island and get to tours and events and to manage our own excursions. There are as number of activities… Read more · 1

experience of the Cook Islands, the culture and scenery and the booked tours were all so interesting. AITUTAKI – TAMANU BEACH RESORT Tamanu Beach Resort and the villas are just beautiful and the gardens amazing with a path down to the lagoon where we swam and used the kayaks – it’s truly a stunning place. We had dinner at Resort Tave’e which was a short walk down the road and we liked the food. The Bishop Cruise which left from Ootu Beach was a fantastic day out with ukulele and singing by the crew. I met other tourists and enjoyed finding out about their travels. The day was sunny and we swam at One Foot Island and a buffet lunch. There is a small issue with the resort – in that the main reception and the restaurant area are on this side and then a large privately owned block separates the other area of villas (ours Room 105) and so to have breakfast or a dinner you had to walk down to the beach and walk along the sand – no footbath. The other option was walk along the long driveway – which had rocks – so needed a torch and then along the road back to the reception and down to the restaurant. The weather was perfect – warm days, sunshine. RAROTONGA – KIA ORANA VILLAS AND SPA The location is very handy with a short drive to the main area of markets. The Highland Paradise evening was amazing with the dancing and history and a nice buffet. Good to have the pickup bus. We did a few hours with Raro Reef Sub Marine Life Eco Tour – which advertises, trevally, sharks, puffer fish, shipwreck and we wanted to see turtles and none! So, for the money it was disappointing and felt a bit sea sick. The Vaima dinner was very nice and thankfully we were back at villas for an early sleep as up at 6am for flights home. If you would like more information regarding some concerns about the hire vehicle and also to see some nice photos then I need a mobile number to send from my phone. The bookings for all the flights and the tours went very much to plan. I wrote to RaroRentals about the car issues and if you would like a copy of this I can email the letter. Thank you for the experience and the people. I appreciate Australian Escapes for the itinerary. Gillian
Follow-up · Tour itinerary was excellent. Rarorentals car had serious battery issue. We filled up tank but they said needed more and a charge for this $100. Not happy as we were stranded in a back street, no wifi, car windows open as hot and so a lot of worry when just arrived at Rarotonga. Jetstar was excellent with a breakfast etc. Overall we had a good time.

Darwin was very nice and was in a very quiet area. Also walking distance to town and waterfront. Accommodation in Kununurra was beautiful and also very quiet. Having a hire car was very handy to get around. August was a great time to go because the weather was perfect. Highly recommended.
Follow-up · We were happy how the booking was handled. When one of our tours had to be cancelled we were notified straight away and refund returned promptly. If we needed support we only had to make a phone call.

Should not be booking flights out of canberra in winter for connecting flights - we did not make it. Virgin Australia were most un-accommodating in handling the missed flights due to late departure from Canberra (and delays in landing in Sydney due to opening of new Sydney airport rescheduling of landing of flights. As a result we lost our first… Read more · 1
day in Darwin - as we arrived 2.00 am the following morning only to be up for day bus trip at 6.30 am. Really wrecked out time in Darwin. Original schedule timing for picking up hire car in Kunnanura didn't work for getting to Elquestro - Zebidee falls (closed at 12 noon) had to work on rearranging pickup times on the go - Sandy was very helpful with this. There was a discrepency with the contract with our hire car at Kunnanura - our documentation said it was unlimited kms - however Avis claimed they didnt do 'unlimited' contracts. Consequently we have had to pay for the extra kms - and to date the amount taken is unresolved.
However Australian Escapes and Sandy (our travel consultant) were most helpful in planning and implementing our holiday including sorting out any concerns we experienced during the trip.
Far North Qld 13/7/26 - 26/07/26 It turned out to be a great adventure of two extremes. experience the remoteness of the Savannah and journey by train through it and the Divide for a day or more. The Barramundi Dis Centre at Kurumba is a must as is the Sunset Cruise. Copperfield Gorge is something of a magnet, somewhat serene and not busy with people Cobbald George is a hidden gem and the Undara Lava Tubes are special for their colours and size. From the beginning our journey was going to be a challenge to plan as we wanted to fit it into our visit to Brisbane on July 11th and head north on the 13th. The first complication was to reverse the package to do Port Douglas first then the western adventure. The second to obtain accommodation in Port Douglas during the peak season with short notice. Alvin must have weilded a wand as he succeeded with both and was able to add additional days to our stay. What's more he planned our flight from Brisbane to Cairns so that we would be in Port Douglas after lunch. Same for our return to Brisbane from Cairns We were able to have a lazy morning in Cairns and arrive in Brisbane late afternoon.

We had an enjoyable holiday in the Cook Islands. Our accommodation on Rarotonga at Lagoon Breeze was very good. We then had a few days on Aitutaki, staying at Tamanu… Read more · 1
Beach Resort. We enjoyed both our complementary foot massage and a full massage while staying there, took advantage of the bicycles available at the resort for a bit of an explore of the island and due to stormy weather the day we were meant to have a lagoon cruise, we were given a private one the day we were due to leave the island, which felt very special. Our accommodation for our last night on Rarotonga was obviously chosen for its location to the airport, and while it was clean and well supplied, it required quite a walk to get to shops as we didn't have a hire car and it was away from the island circuit bus. It wasn't as special as Lagoon Breeze but made for a slightly later start to our morning of departure than originally indicated. Maybe one day we will have a return visit to the Cook Islands.

Alaska, Canada and America Trip organised by Sandy Loiz A well presented package of our events that we and family could follow easily as it happened. drop off drivers being timely and did have to pay another driver as the allocated one did not turn up. A recommendation would be to not put Seniors on domestic flights in the evening. 1. Flight to Las Vegas 9.00pm leaving Chicago. It was 1.30am by the time we checked into our room. 2. Flight to Nashville was delayed and we missed our Grand Ole Opry Show. We were away approx 2 months and have many fabulous memories to hold onto. Having the package to refer to was an excellent resource for times, contacts and connections.
Great adventure with good and not so good things happening. The Spirit of the Outback train was not as described in the photos of our itinerary. enough room to open when the bed was down, but the other door to our area would only allow the door to partially open. Two people could not pass in the hallway so one had to back out to let the other pass. Meals and service in the dining car were excellent. Accommodation at Saltbush Retreat was excellent and Ron and Wendy were great hosts who could not do enough for us. We could not fault our stay with them. Long trip on bus of 165 klms each way to Winton and back and not one of the best days. Nogo Station and Stockman's Hall of Fame both were excellent. Qantas Museum and Wing Walk, Cruise up the Thomson River including campfire meal and Cobb & Co Stagecoach experiences were enjoyable. Smithy's Outback Dinner and Show had lovely meals although the entertainment was very average. The way the itinerary was presented in a sleeve was great although there was insufficient information regarding the activities we had booked. Flew home and what a great flight - 2 hours. We were met at Brisbane Airport by a bus which took us all to the airport to collect our baggage. Australian Escapes travel consultant Sandy was always accessible to answer any questions, however her attention to detail could have been better. Overall, an adventure to be remembered.
Our trip to Tasmania was great. Car hire suited our needs perfectly and although some of the accommodation could have done with some upgrades it was comfortable and close to where we needed to be. the hassle out of trying to organise our travel. It covered most of the places we wanted to go to except the north east corner but we would have struggled to fit it in with our time frame. The package of our information was useful and contained all we needed for our ticket and accommodation etc info.

More than a bit disappointing – I'm trying to be objective..... but who knew that after paying for years and with 12,700 dollars worth of voucher/points/ or money to spend on the next trip. You only get 300 dollars if its a cruise. No-one told us! This does not meet our expectation Show details

We wanted to spend a relaxing holiday in Coffs Harbour but we were not happy with the accomodation provided. The problem has now been addressed and we are very happy with the outcome.
