has been a standout – professional, responsive, and incredibly patient. This is our third build, so we have a solid understanding of what’s involved in designing a home, and we can confidently say this has been a positive experience so far.

What has really set Anthony apart is his willingness to listen and adapt. He has worked tirelessly to help us refine the initial design, making multiple changes without hesitation to ensure the final plan meets our needs perfectly. Nothing has ever been too difficult, and he’s approached every conversation with a positive attitude and a genuine desire to help.

In the past, we’ve found that some people in the industry become frustrated with change, but Anthony has been the complete opposite—supportive, understanding, and always focused on finding the best solution. His communication has been clear and timely, which has made a huge difference in keeping things on track and stress-free.

We’d also like to give a special mention to David at the Hurtle Grove Display, who has been extremely helpful and supportive throughout this early stage—his insights and assistance have been greatly appreciated.

We built the Wilshire 221 at Narangba (Job 249336) and handed over in 2026. The finished home is solid and we're happy with the build quality. Getting there was harder than it should have been from a builder of this size. Pre-contract: Every time our plans were updated by our sales consultant, other items changed without us asking. This meant… Read more

repeated back-and-forth before we could finalise the contract. Contract signing: The engineering drawings didn't match what our consultant had submitted items had been added that we never requested. Removing them was quoted at an extra $1,000, despite the error not being ours. We spent 90 minutes working through the discrepancies on the day. The app: Progress tracking was a selling point. In reality only the slab and frame were ever uploaded. The app then crashed repeatedly and was discontinued before our build finished. Customer care: Our coordinator was frequently on leave with no handover contact provided. Calls went unanswered and emails often weren't replied to. This was the weakest part of the experience. Credit where it's due three people made this build work:

Marissa (Interior Design) was outstanding. She worked through our internal and external selections properly and made sure nothing was missed. She picked up that our plan had an undersized vanity in the ensuite, which we then had corrected. That was her catch, not ours.

Haley (Electrical Consultant) was helpful, clear and easy to work with. The electrical planning was one of the smoothest parts of the whole process.

Adam (Site Supervisor) was excellent weekly Friday email updates, easy to contact, and straight with us. He's the reason the build itself went smoothly.

The gap: The one pattern that ran through the whole build was no cover when staff were away. When our customer care coordinator was on leave, no alternative contact was provided. The same happened at Practical Completion our site supervisor was away on family leave and no one else picked up the communication, so we went into the PCI stage without updates. For a builder of this size, there should be a documented handover process when a key contact is unavailable. Good product, good people. The process and systems need real work.

The colour selection and electrical appointment l attended was a very pleasant one. It was well considered and created a visually appealing and cohesive overall appearance. Alycia Varley was very helpful throughout the whole time. The chosen colours work well together and provided a good balance between contrast, harmony and visual interest. Though the construction of my new home is yet to start, l believe the workmanship and the build quality of my property will be superb. The final cost at this stage is reasonable though the colour schedule and electricals are yet to be sent for pricing.

detailed breakdown over multiple meetings and emails, I was told this couldn't be provided due to "software limitations". As a customer making a major financial decision, I don't believe that's an acceptable explanation.

The quotation process also took much longer than expected, with repeated delays, which further reduced my confidence. In the end, I moved to another builder who provided much clearer documentation, itemised pricing, and was able to explain every variation in detail. The difference in transparency and customer experience was significant.

informed that Burbank would not proceed with my project due to site and engineering constraints.

What concerns me most is that Burbank commissioned a Feature & Level Survey for my property which was completed on 10 February 2026 under Client Reference 265841 and Intrax Reference 259940. Despite having this information available early in the process, I was only advised several months later that the project could not proceed as planned.

During this period, I continued paying rent and land interest while believing my project was progressing. Had these issues been identified, assessed, and communicated in a timely manner, I could have approached another builder months ago and avoided significant delays and financial losses.

Instead, after months of waiting, meetings, emails, and uncertainty, the outcome was simply that the project could not proceed. A refund does not compensate for the time lost, rising construction costs, ongoing rent, land interest payments, and the stress caused by the delays.

Communication throughout the process lacked transparency. Important information appears to have been known internally long before it was communicated to me. As a customer making one of the biggest financial commitments of my life, I expected clear communication, professional project management, and timely advice.

The most disappointing aspect is that I am now effectively starting from scratch with another builder after losing valuable months that can never be recovered.

I am still requesting all completed documentation, including survey information, engineering assessments, and soil testing reports, so that I do not lose even more time repeating work that has already been completed.

Unfortunately, my experience with Burbank has been one of delays, poor communication, lack of transparency, and significant inconvenience.
