Lisa handled our feelings and demands with such kind and genuine care as well as explaining things to us in ways we understand; and if she didn’t have the answer on hand, she always endeavoured to get the answers for us in a timely manner. When it came time to pass us on to the construction team, Lisa went further than the extra mile and organised for handover to happen a day earlier than first planned so it would be ON my birthday as a birthday present from her and the Burbank team. with structural modifications to the standard plan while keeping the overall cost close to our budget. Akshay remained accessible throughout the build and regularly checked in on the progress.
During the pre-construction stage, Frenil Gandhi (Customer Care Coordinator) and Daniella Chretien (Colour Consultant) supported us through the contract and colour selection process. Frenil was very prompt with paperwork and helped clarify the contract terms and conditions. Daniella provided great guidance with our electrical selections and colour choices. The only area we felt could be improved was the Edge Studio experience, which could be more organised and family-friendly.
Our Site Supervisor, Thomas Hajko, was outstanding throughout the construction phase. He kept us updated at every stage of the build, and we never had to chase him for progress updates. Tom was approachable, responsive, and always willing to answer questions and address concerns.
Overall, we were very happy with Burbank as a builder. The quality of the build was good, there were no unexpected surprises or cost variations during the process, and the construction was completed ahead of the original timeframe. Our slab was poured at the end of January, and we received the keys in the last week of June for the double story house.

builds. I really appreciated that they had homes of all sizes on display, both big and small, so you can actually get a realistic idea of what your future home could look like.
As a first home buyer, I have a very strict budget to stay under in order to qualify for the $750k first home grant. I was amazed walking through the display home and finding out that the base build price, including the promotional package, would still keep me under that limit. After visiting so many builders, I found Burbank’s pricing to be extremely competitive and fair.
I recently had my colour appointment and, honestly, I was overwhelmed and nervous that the variation costs would be very high just to include a few extra things I wanted in my home. Not only was I impressed with the range of options available, but my colour consultant, Alycia Varley, was amazing throughout the whole process. She helped calm me down, guided me through the selections, and made it much easier to decide what I wanted.
When the variation pricing came back, I was genuinely surprised at how reasonable it was. Working in the building industry myself, I have a strong understanding of trade and material pricing, so it was refreshing to see a builder not inflating prices and instead genuinely helping people get into homes despite the current cost of living pressures.
I’m very impressed with Burbank overall. A big shout out to David Doak at the Yarrabilba display home as well. We were working within a very strict timeline when choosing a builder, and he was incredibly helpful throughout the process. Anytime I’ve called in a panic, he’s been there to help, which has been greatly appreciated.

were super scared and had no idea how it all worked. What were we to do first etc. Maks Hossain was amazing at answering our questions and helping us understand what we could achieve. His knowledge and reassurance helped us make a decision on a block of land and gave us the confidence to start the build process.
Next up was the colour and electrical consults. Wow, amazing! That is an experience I loved! I am the worst person at making decisions. Never give a menu we will be there all day waiting for me to decide. For that reason, I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to make decisions quickly during our consult day. Boy did I surprise myself. That all comes down to the amazing expertise and guidance from Marissa Lintott. Our colour consult appointment was with 4 of our family of 5 so even more challenging to get everyone on the same page. Marissa we had so much fun, thank you!
Next up was our electrical consult with Hayley Tupaea. Never did I ever think an electrical consult would be so awesome. Hayley you too were amazing with your guidance and recommendations. We had our plan sorted before we met with you however you helped us save on our budget. We are forever grateful for that.
The last piece of the puzzle this far was the patience and guidance from Karla Egan, boy, were you challenged with how long we took. But we got there in the end, and you have now passed us over to our site supervisor Scott Hancock who will be in touch soon to make bookings in preparation for construction commencement. of my requirements at a higher spec and lower price than all of the previous offers. Starting with the “Butler” as the basic design, Romeo and I were able to massage this layout into exactly what I wanted. Nothing was too much trouble for Romeo in working up the final plans and his attention to detail and understanding of what I was trying to achieve made the whole process very easy and satisfying. Checking out the quality of Burbank’s finished product by looking at the display homes was also a great experience, both in terms of the quality of the builds and the display home staff. So far I can't fault my journey with Burbank. Looking forward to the next stages of the journey. The next part of the process was my selections, which completed with Cherie at Burbank's totally comprehensive selections facility. I've done this many times before, with other builders and it was very arduous. They made you run all over town to up to 6 different locations to chose all the different components. This required making numerous appointments, travelling to far flung destinations and dealing with a lot of different people. A nightmare. At Burbank its all finished in a couple hours, on one day, with one appointment, in a single place and dealing with only one person. This is a great relief and saves a lot of time and energy. In addition there is that "one person" - Cherie. She is the icing on the cake. She is so knowledgeable in every aspect of this part of the process, and makes what is normally a tedious and tiring process exciting and ultimately satisfying. Knowledgeable - by knowing the complete range of what is available in every category - then being able to understand the house plans in intimate detail to help me get my head around what is the best choice for each item. Then, she is also very helpful and competent at assisting with colour schemes, to produce a completely satisfying result. All in all the Burbank selection process gets 10/10 from me. A normally tiring, unsatisfying, tedious, arduous chore is made easy, quick and satisfying by their attention to producing a process that ends with a great customer experience.

I felt like they both truly understood what my partner and I needed but also wanted - there was a good combination of giving us what we need and where it was worthwhile spending extra money - this can be rare to find in teams who definitely have sales KPIs and interests behind them as well. I’m posting this review to share my experience after the handover of my new home. Before handover, things felt organised and responsive, but after handover the attitude and follow‑through from Burbank staff changed completely. I’ve made numerous requests by phone and email about defects and unfinished items, and each time I was told someone would… Read more

It has now been 10 months and most issues are still not fixed, including my 3‑month maintenance jobs, which are still pending with no support, no bookings, and no timelines provided. Every time I contact a different staff member, I’m passed on to someone else, with no one taking responsibility. I’ve spent a lot of time chasing updates and it’s been a waste of time. Based on this experience, I would seriously consider other builders for any future property, as my post‑construction experience with Burbank has been the worst part of the build process.
I chose not to proceed with Burbank after a very frustrating quotation experience. My main concern was the lack of transparency in the pricing. Several significant upgrades, including kitchen and powder room modifications, were bundled together, making it impossible to understand the cost of individual items. detailed breakdown over multiple meetings and emails, I was told this couldn't be provided due to "software limitations". As a customer making a major financial decision, I don't believe that's an acceptable explanation.
The quotation process also took much longer than expected, with repeated delays, which further reduced my confidence. In the end, I moved to another builder who provided much clearer documentation, itemised pricing, and was able to explain every variation in detail. The difference in transparency and customer experience was significant.
We built the Wilshire 221 at Narangba (Job 249336) and handed over in 2026. The finished home is solid and we're happy with the build quality. Getting there was harder than it should have been from a builder of this size. Pre-contract: Every time our plans were updated by our sales consultant, other items changed without us asking. repeated back-and-forth before we could finalise the contract. Contract signing: The engineering drawings didn't match what our consultant had submitted items had been added that we never requested. Removing them was quoted at an extra $1,000, despite the error not being ours. We spent 90 minutes working through the discrepancies on the day. The app: Progress tracking was a selling point. In reality only the slab and frame were ever uploaded. The app then crashed repeatedly and was discontinued before our build finished. Customer care: Our coordinator was frequently on leave with no handover contact provided. Calls went unanswered and emails often weren't replied to. This was the weakest part of the experience. Credit where it's due three people made this build work:
Marissa (Interior Design) was outstanding. She worked through our internal and external selections properly and made sure nothing was missed. She picked up that our plan had an undersized vanity in the ensuite, which we then had corrected. That was her catch, not ours.
Haley (Electrical Consultant) was helpful, clear and easy to work with. The electrical planning was one of the smoothest parts of the whole process.
Adam (Site Supervisor) was excellent weekly Friday email updates, easy to contact, and straight with us. He's the reason the build itself went smoothly.
The gap: The one pattern that ran through the whole build was no cover when staff were away. When our customer care coordinator was on leave, no alternative contact was provided. The same happened at Practical Completion our site supervisor was away on family leave and no one else picked up the communication, so we went into the PCI stage without updates. For a builder of this size, there should be a documented handover process when a key contact is unavailable. Good product, good people. The process and systems need real work.
