Overall sentiment toward Dodo Mobile is largely positive, with customers frequently praising its cost-effectiveness, reliable network coverage, and useful features like data rollover. While a subset of users report frustrations regarding occasional connection drops, inconsistent speeds, and incremental price rises, the majority find the service to be a dependable and budget-friendly alternative to major telcos.
Great service, reliable quality and a great price! I’m also a Dodo customer for my internet, gas and electricity, so having all my services with one provider makes everything so convenient. I’ve had no issues with Dodo and would definitely recommend them. The Dodo app is also really easy to use, making it simple to manage all my services, keep… Read more
track of my usage and stay on top of my bills all in one place. Overall, I’ve had a great experience with Dodo!
I have been using Dodo as my mobile provider for sme years now, and have been very happy with the service. Their Cusotmer Service team are easy to contact and don't keep you on hold long. They are very proferssional and go out of their way to make cutomers feel thay are important and well-regarded. Dodo also give good value for money - I won't be changing any time soon.

Data has been an excellent nbn and energy provider. I have always had consistent supply and barely any outages. If there has been an outage they always provide incredible communication and accurate times. Their prices are quite competitive, and I often call up and request price matches with other providers or discounts due to my loyalty, and they… Read more
have obliged every time. Their website is easy to use, but the recent addition of the app has been even better. Would highly recommend!
I have been a happy customer of dodo since I bought my first mobile and the carrier was Telstra. They're even better now under Optus. There also was a time I got severely ripped of by AGL and thanks to switching to dodo I could afford (pretty much) unlimited electricity and gas , although I refused to allow my children to abuse that privelidge.… Read more
The customer service has always been great and even during difficult times I had no one to speak to the lovely people mostly phillipino listened and supported that stress as well. I have recommended dodo to so many and don't need any medal for that but would like to submit this for the competition about a prezzie.
Being with this , the most reasonable company, I know I'm rich and my phone works okay too.
Luv ya's From Michelle
I have been with Dodo since around 2021–2022, back when I was younger and they offered a $5 plan for a phone number with around 5GB of data. As I got older, I moved onto the $20 plan with 20GB of data per month, which was more than enough for my needs at the time. Over the years, the price and inclusions have changed, but I have found that Dodo… Read more
has continued to offer features that make the plans worthwhile. I currently pay $25 per month for 25GB of 5G data, with unlimited data banking, $100 of international call credit, unlimited standard calls, texts and MMS with no lock-in contract.
One of my favourite features is the unlimited data banking. Rather than losing unused data at the end of each month, I can keep banking it and build up a larger amount of data to use when I need it. I think this is particularly good value because there are months where I don't use anywhere near my full allowance, so it is nice knowing that the unused data isn't simply wasted. I also appreciate that there are no excess data charges if I use all my included data and I can continue using data at slower speeds instead.
Another thing I have appreciated about Dodo is their customer service. I once had an issue where my mobile data wasn't working, so I contacted their customer service team for help. The person I spoke with was very helpful and friendly and took the time to assist me with troubleshooting the issue. They also gave me $5 off my next monthly payment as a goodwill gesture, which I thought was very generous. It was a small thing, but it left a good impression because I felt like they genuinely wanted to help resolve the issue.
What has kept me with Dodo for several years is that the service has continued to be affordable and has adapted as my needs have changed. I've gone from being on one of their basic plans when I was younger to having a much more useful mobile plan now, without feeling like I need to constantly switch providers to get better value.
Being a full time student myself, I couldn't recommend a better plan.
Overall, I've had a positive experience with Dodo Mobile. For $25 a month, I think the combination of 25GB of 5G data, unlimited data banking, international call credit, unlimited standard calls and texts and no lock-in contract offers good value. After being a customer for several years, I have no immediate plans to switch providers.
good product good data fantastic experience. I feel so good in our dodo mobile plan. Show details
I’m very happy with Dodo Mobile and would definitely recommend it. With mobile plan prices increasing across the market, I find Dodo offers great value for money. The network has been reliable, data speeds are good, and one of the best features is that unused data can be carried over to the next month. It’s a great option if you want a reliable… Read more

Great deals. Customer service is soooo friendly when I need help with something. Fast good and reliable Show details
I’ve been using Dodo Mobile and honestly, it’s been great value for money. The plan is cheap, the coverage has been really good across Sydney, and I’ve had a reliable connection wherever I’ve been. One thing that always makes me smile is the 150 Mbps speed cap — because somehow I occasionally see speeds closer to 200 Mbps. Not complaining at all…… Read more
thanks for the little bonus, Dodo!
The data rollover feature is also fantastic. It’s great knowing that unused data doesn’t just disappear at the end of the month, and it makes the plan feel even better value.
I’ve been happy enough with the mobile service that I’ve now put in an application for Dodo internet as well, and I’m looking forward to hopefully moving my home internet over to them too.
Affordable, good coverage, useful features and the occasional speed surprise — pretty happy with Dodo so far!

⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) * ✅ Very fast downloads if you’re on an NBN 100 or faster plan. * ✅ Downloading a 30 GB Call of Duty update in under 30 minutes is achievable if your real-world speed is around 150–170 Mbps or higher. * ✅ Unlimited data on most plans. * ⚠️ Peak-hour speeds can vary depending on your area. * ⚠️ Customer service is generally considered… Read more
average compared with premium providers.
If your goal is gaming (not just downloading), providers like Aussie Broadband, Superloop, or Launtel often have a better reputation for low latency and more consistent performance.
If you’re currently with Dodo, tell me:
* Which NBN speed tier you have (25, 50, 100, 250, or 1000 Mbps)? * Are you downloading on Wi-Fi or Ethernet?
I can estimate how long a 30–100 GB Call of Duty download should take on your connection.
Thanks to Dodo I am never without data. Whether I’m in the middle of a crowded city or in the Australian outback, I’m always connected. Their flexible plans and data saving mean I can afford my mobile plan on a budget. I’ve never had a bad call or missed message. Go with Dodo. Show details

Follow-up · I have no issues with data speed. Even my visiting son couldn't believe how good it was. Definitely no issues with billing. Direct debit to dodo. Positive reviews
I changed to the Dodo mobile plan earlier this year based on price and coverage; I was very pleased to find that the service was robust and high quality, and during the months I was travelling in Europe, the service was excellent and I would highly recommend it to others considering a change to a new provider. Thank you, enjoying the ride. Show details
I used to be a DoDo customer some years ago and ceased as the service was sub par. BUT recently I decided to give DODo another go. To my surprise, the service has improved remarkably and I have nothing but praise for the improvement. The service and attention to detail is appreciated.
This service is very good, giving reliable data services for my mobile. Although sometimes it can be patchy service, most of the time it works well. I would definitely recommend using dodo mobile!
Negative reviews
After swapping from previous telco to dodo I ended spending many hours on text conversations with your people only to be transferred again and again again , this last hours and in the end I went to a local phone shop and the salesmen also spend hours over 2 different days trying to work out the problem as it turns out I was sent a faulty SIM card… Read more
and after 13 days without a phone , yes 13 days with absolutely NO phone in any form I was finally hooked up with phone communications, after discussing compensation you after me $7.50 lol not even with the effort to do a bank transfer .. needless to say as soon as I can I will be leaving doodoo .
My experience with Dodo has been extremely disappointing, and ultimately their poor customer service has cost them a customer. I already had a Dodo mobile plan, which had regularly increased in price by significantly more than the rate of inflation. I then purchased an eSIM for my son's iPhone, only to discover that it would not work because of… Read more
the age of the iPhone 8. This compatibility issue was not clearly indicated to me before I purchased the eSIM.
I then purchased a $23 prepaid Dodo SIM from my local supermarket, advertised as providing 30 days of service. The physical SIM was set up without any problems. However, Dodo then charged me an additional $2 so that the total cost matched their existing $25 plan, despite the fact that I had purchased a $23 prepaid service for 30 days. I consider this an unjustified charge and completely unacceptable.
I subsequently had to contact Dodo three separate times to obtain a refund for the eSIM. Each call involved at least a 25-minute wait. Having to repeatedly contact customer service to resolve an issue that should have been straightforward was extremely frustrating.
The end result was that Dodo lost me as a customer. I cancelled both mobile services as well as my Dodo internet service and moved to other providers. I have since moved my mobile service to Yomojo at around half the cost. Importantly, Yomojo uses the Optus network as well, so I am getting essentially the same underlying mobile network without paying Dodo's higher prices. My internet service has also been moved to Tangerine, which is cheaper than Dodo.
So, Dodo managed to lose a long-term customer over poor service, excessive price increases, an issue that could have been avoided with better information before purchase, an unjustified $2 charge on a prepaid service, and an unnecessarily difficult refund process.
My advice to others: shop around before signing up with Dodo. There are cheaper alternatives available, including mobile providers using the same Optus network. In my experience, Dodo is a terrible company to deal with when you actually need customer support. If everything works perfectly, you may not have a problem — but if you need assistance, be prepared for long wait times and a frustrating experience.
Dodo has been regularly increasing the fees, while the service itself continues to be unreliable. The network frequently drops out, and the biggest frustration is the 400 international call minutes included in my plan — I can almost never actually use them. I have contacted Dodo several times about this. Each time, the problem is temporarily… Read more
fixed and I’m able to make international calls again, only for the exact same issue to happen shortly afterwards.
At this point, it feels like I’m paying for a service that I’m deliberately prevented from using. Whether it’s a technical issue or something else, the result is the same: I’m paying for international minutes that I cannot reliably access.
It is extremely frustrating and feels like the strategy is to offer attractive inclusions to get customers to sign up, then make those inclusions practically unusable and hope customers eventually stop complaining.
This is not acceptable service, especially when fees keep increasing. I’m paying for a plan, and I expect to actually receive the service and inclusions I’m paying for.

Dodo is the only service provider that suited my needs and offered 50 minutes of international calls to PNG per month. The service is smooth, efficient with nil call drop-outs. Very happy with the service.
