communication has been fantastic, they've been professional, friendly and genuinely cared about making sure we were happy every step of the way.
I also have to give them credit for putting up with me and my million questions, emails and last-minute requests! Nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Every query was answered promptly, and they always took the time to explain things and work with us to achieve the best outcome.
The quality of the workmanship has been amazing, and watching our home come together has been such an exciting experience. Every stage has exceeded our expectations, and it's clear that the team takes pride in what they do.

Nav, our site supervisor, delivered a flawless experience. The build quality is absolute perfection, and he managed to finish ahead of schedule. I recently experienced a leak in my living room after noticing water on my couch and an indent in the ceiling plaster. throughout the process. By 7am the very next day, a plumber attended my home and identified the issue as an improperly sealed rooftop heating/air conditioning unit that had allowed rainwater into the roof cavity. Later that same day, the heating company attended and sealed the source of the leak.
To complete the repairs, a contractor has already been scheduled to fix the ceiling plaster next Tuesday (03/03/26). I truly appreciate the prompt, efficient, and professional response from Beth and the Orbit Homes team in resolving this issue so quickly. started off with a lie thanks to [Name Removed] and ended with more lies and deceit than anything else. Once the contract was signed everything went sideways. Their hidden costs were ridiculous, I haven’t seen an electricity box in a front porch since the 1980’s and they wanted to place one there until we had to pay to get it moved to the side of the house where it’s meant to be. They used the excuse that the facade was in the way like it was our first home being built and we were fools to fall for it. Sight start was meant be booked in at a certain time as what we paid the deposit for only to start on sight 6 weeks later and when confronted about it no one could be honest with us. One blaming the other for their mistakes. Kitchen was a different colour and when explaining it to them I was treated like I was in the wrong and didn’t know what I was talking about until they finally agreed to look into it and when they realised what colour I actually wanted I was told that I had to pay out of my pocket another $8000 to change it to the colour we wanted. It took 10 months for them to finish our home and that was because our landlord wanted his home back, they weren’t happy about it, we got the runaround and our home was sitting for 2 weeks closed and once we needed to move in all of a sudden they needed to work on our home. So happy they were when we received our keys we didn’t even receive our gift box. [Name Removed] and [Name Removed] were great. Had no problem with them. They were always understanding and very respectful and helpful. Office wise they definitely need more classes on their communication skills and learn to be more honest with their clients. Oh and don’t bother talking to management they won’t help either. Orbit homes forget that you are paying them to build your home not the other way around.

My experience with Orbit Homes has been extremely disappointing. They operate like a typical interstate business that does not care about Queenslanders. who does not communicate, does not reply to emails and makes it feel like nothing is happening even when there is a major complaint like I had. It is virtually impossible to meet in person with anyone responsible for resolving issues, and the overall approach feels dismissive of the customer. Orbit Homes were also significantly overpriced. Comparable builders could have saved me at least $150,000 while providing a far more respectful and professional experience both during and after the build. I have lodged a formal complaint with the QBCC, which remains unresolved more than 12 months after handover. The major defects were raised in writing more than three months prior to handover (September 2024), yet as of December 2025 they still have not been rectified. It took until August 2025 for a manager to respond at all, and the response consisted largely of deflecting blame onto staff, with no meaningful action taken since. After escalating matters to the General Manager, I experienced two scheduled maintenance appointments where no one attended—both confirmed in writing however no one showed up. This may be coincidence, but it is consistent with Orbit Homes’ broader pattern of poor communication and follow-through. Emails regularly go unanswered for days or weeks, if they are acknowledged at all. I also raised concerns in writing about what I believe to be an incorrect invoice issued at the lock-up stage. Despite repeated requests, Orbit Homes have refused to engage in a proper discussion or investigation of this matter from my perspective. I attempted to contact the owner directly on multiple occasions with no response. When I raised this with the General Manager, I was told the owner “doesn’t get involved.” Given the ongoing lack of action from management, this was both concerning and unacceptable. Across my dealings with Orbit Homes, five confirmed meetings or appointments were not attended by their staff. Additionally, during the contract signing, an Orbit Homes staff member was openly rude and ignored my partner entirely, stating: “She is not on the contract, I don’t need to talk to her.” No greeting was offered. While initially I thought this was an isolated incident, it ultimately reflected the broader culture and attitude I experienced throughout the process. There is a number of maintenance items on the build that I wanted to get done as part of the 12-month maintenance that I paid for as part of the build. I chose not to send it through as it was not worth the headaches and blame I feel I would get from the Orbit Team – there are minor things on the maintenance list that were documented in April of 2025 and still not rectified as of December 2025, the way I feel they would reply and blame someone else meant I just went without instead of trying to communicate with them about it. Orbit Homes claim they “build dreams,” but my experience has been one of unfulfilled promises, delayed responses, ignored emails, and meetings that no one attends. I would not recommend Orbit Homes.
