Weeks Homes receives consistently high praise for its customer-focused approach, with particular emphasis on the professionalism of sales consultants, interior designers, and site supervisors. Reviewers frequently highlight the transparency of the building process and the efficiency of the "MyChoice Studio" for selections. While the vast majority of feedback is positive, a small number of reports mention significant post-handover issues such as mould and poor finishing quality.
Pros
- Exceptional Staff and Communication: Staff across all departments are described as knowledgeable, patient, and proactive. Site managers provide regular weekly updates, often including photos via the MyHome portal, which creates a transparent and stress-free experience for homeowners.
- Efficient Selections Process: The MyChoice Studio is highly regarded for its "all-in-one" approach, allowing clients to finalise interior and exterior finishes in a single location with expert design guidance, often saving significant time compared to visiting multiple suppliers.
- Reliable Build Timelines: Multiple projects were completed within five to seven months from slab pour to handover, with several reviewers noting their homes were delivered ahead of the initial schedule.
- Cost Certainty and Transparency: Clients appreciate the upfront honesty regarding pricing, with many noting that the final cost aligned strictly with the initial contract and that staff actively helped them stay within budget without aggressive upselling.
Cons
- Inconsistent Finishing Quality: While structural integrity is praised, some reports highlight a lack of attention to detail in the final stages, including uneven tiling, poor grouting, unpainted surfaces behind skirting boards, and sharp kitchen bench corners.
- Post-Handover Maintenance Issues: Significant recurring issues were flagged by a few users, most notably the presence of mould in new builds and plumbing leaks that caused property damage shortly after occupancy.
- Administrative Communication Gaps: A segment of users experienced delays and lost information during the transition from the sales/design office to the construction team, leading to missed design changes that could not be rectified later.
- Contractor Accountability: There are reports of external contractors causing damage (such as burst water pipes) or leaving sites untidy, with some users feeling that the builder did not take sufficient responsibility for these third-party errors.
Verdict
Weeks Homes is a highly recommended choice for first-time and interstate builders due to its streamlined pre-construction process and excellent communication. While the build speed and structural quality are industry-leading, prospective owners should maintain close oversight during the final "fix" stage to ensure finishing details meet expectations.

We had a maintenance job for our alfresco job today. Lorne and Weeks supervisor did a great job with fixing the small gap in sliding door. They were very creative as we got option to redo the whole job and taking frames, flooring etc or less work extensive option. We went ahead with less intensive option and result was exceptional. As first home builders, we loved our experience with weeks. From Selections to the quality of our build. We couldn’t have asked for better service! Even with the delay of steel frames, [Name Removed] was able to keep our build on track and there was no better feeling coming to the house once a week, seeing more progress has been done. with great attention to detail, and I was very happy with the overall result.
Any concerns raised during the process were listened to and handled professionally. I felt well supported throughout, particularly by the Site Manager, who was approachable, accommodating with requests, and genuinely committed to resolving any issues in a timely and effective manner.

From the moment we walked into the display home and met with the sales consultant, the whole experience has been fantastic. constantly going above and beyond. The communication and updates throughout the build were excellent, and the whole project ran on time. We only ever had a few very small issues, and they were rectified almost immediately. Most of the time our site supervisor was already onto it before we had even asked about it. Another big factor for us was the cost certainty. The price stayed exactly the same throughout the build. The 12-month contract we signed at the beginning held that price, which gave us real peace of mind knowing there would be no unexpected costs unless we chose to make changes ourselves. We couldn’t be happier with the experience.

bookings of trades, ensuring everything moved along smoothly and on schedule. His organisation and communication made a big difference and gave us a lot of confidence during the build. He listened and supported our requests.
Our only disappointment was that he wasn’t able to continue as our Site Manager for the entire project due to company changes, which was absolutely no fault of his own. We truly appreciated the time he was with us and would highly recommend him.

The efficiency, transparency, and attention to detail truly made the journey stress-free. We appreciate the professionalism and dedication shown by the team and would confidently recommend Weeks Homes to anyone looking to build their home.
From the moment we walked into the Weeks display home, to the selections and council approval process, through to handover, our experience building our home was exceptional. Where trades were delayed, he adjusted the program and pushed ahead with alternate trades to keep the overall timeline on track. The trades were professional and clearly enjoyed working under his leadership. The site was always tidy when we visited.
Communication during the build also exceeded my expectations. We received weekly updates from our Project Manager outlining progress made and what we could expect to happen next, and could track everything through the MyHome portal and loved receiving regular photos of the build particularly since we lived an hour away. This made a massive difference and allowed us to feel connected to the process without needing to be there constantly.
The MyChoice Studio is a genius concept — we selected everything in two visits. Compared to our previous build (which involved multiple weekends visiting suppliers), this was incredibly efficient.
We are now two months after handover and are still in awe at the beautiful house that Weeks built for us. The finishes are excellent, everything works beautifully, and we have no regrets. When others talk about building delays and difficult builds, we are proud to say we built with Weeks and had a fantastic experience. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

As first-time home builders, we began our journey in May 2022 by choosing the Next Gen Somerton floor plan, and we opted for MyChoice to handle our financing. As soon as the land was settled, Weeks Homes quickly began the construction process. We were fortunate to have [Name Removed] as our site supervisor. From the outset, [Name Removed] demonstrated outstanding professionalism and initiative—he quickly organised the removal of rubbish and debris that had been left on our lot by another home builder. This prompt action set the tone for the rest of our build, allowing the slab to be poured in March 2025 without further holdups.
The pace of construction was impressive after the initial groundwork. Each stage of the build—from framing to lock-up and through to the finishing touches—progressed smoothly and efficiently. What truly stood out to us was the seamless communication we enjoyed with both Weeks Homes and [Name Removed]. He consistently kept us informed about updates, timelines, and any minor issues that arose, using a combination of text messages, phone calls, and emails. This open line of communication gave us peace of mind and made the process far less stressful than we had anticipated.
Throughout the build, we did not encounter any significant issues. When it was time for the Practical Completion Inspection (PCI), only a handful of minor defects were identified, all of which were promptly rectified before we received our keys. The overall build time, from the start of construction to key handover, was about seven months—a testament to the efficiency and organisation of the Weeks Homes team.
We received our keys on the last day of October, marking the end of a smooth and satisfying experience. Looking back, we are thoroughly pleased with our decision to build with Weeks Homes. Should we ever decide to build again, we would not hesitate to choose them for our next project.

Overall, my experience with Weeks was a good one. Although there are some aspects that left me disappointed. First, the build timeframe was great and the vast majority of the communications I received over the build process were good. Including responses which were, more often than not, timely and helpful. Second, the structural integrity of… Read more · 1
the the home appears very good. The slab appears level, the walls and rooms are square, and the benches and countertops feel solid and well constructed. From a structural standpoint, the house seems to have been built to a high standard.
Thirdly, the pricing was very competitive. For a steel-frame home with a good range of selections and the custom inclusions we wanted, the overall value was excellent.
However, the finishing quality of the home, along with several incidents during the latter stages of the build, was less than desirable.
During the build, an underground water pipe was damaged by a contractor and, even though there was clearly water bubbling out of the ground that I noticed myself, was left unfixed and remained on for an extended period of time leaving me with a $400 dollar water bill. As it was unclear how much of the bill was the leak and how much was the builders, the entire bill was demmed my responsibility.
The corners of the kitchen benchtops are extremely sharp. They could have at least been rounded as I can't imagine the injuries that they could cause if you walked into them, not to mention the injuries inflicted on little ones.
As we elected to complete the flooring after handover, Weeks did not install the skirting boards (which did not incur any discount) . These were left in the garage for us to paint and cut, which was fine. Unfortunately, insufficient paint was provided, and the condition of the skirting boards themselves was very poor. They were weathered, some were damaged, and many appeared to have been walked on.
Most disappointing was the wall paint, which was not carried down past the skirting line. This was raised during inspections and we requested it be rectified, yet it was not addressed. This has resulted in significant inconvenience, as I now need to complete this painting myself. The time and paint saved by the contractor would have been minimal, yet the impact on the finished result is substantial.
The issues with the tiler were extensive, ultimately resulting in having to have it redone and still with uneven tiling and poor grouting. Some areas clearly have marked lines that have veen cut over and sections of the grouting are already coming apart. Poor design and lack of planning also leads to water flooding the ensuite floor during a shower. A simple issues that could have been fixed with $30 worth of parts or better yet, better design. The choice of tiler lead to many further issues that leave me questioning the quality of my wet areas.
To be clear, the overall paint coverage is reasonable and the structural work is very good. And the effort and relationship built with the buildsite manager went a long way in making a stressful process much easier to manage. However, it is evident that some external contractors either did not care or were simply incapable of completing their work to an acceptable standard.
Given what was otherwise a smooth build process and a very timely delivery, it is disappointing to walk away feeling let down by the lack of care taken in the final stages. The bathroom vanity units had not been cleaned, dried grout was left on the bathroom floors, and some grout is missing entirely. Huge gaping holes were left next to the front bedroom windows that we needed to fill to be able to start flooring. The final polish simply was not there.
When entering a newly completed home, one expects to feel happy and confident in the result. Instead, I felt let down at the end of what was otherwise an exciting process to watch.

has sometimes anticipated my questions and on the odd occasion he hasn't known the answer he has come back to me in a reasonable timeframe. This person has been engaging, enthusiastic and real. Compared with sales people from other builders, the Weeks person knew, or knew where to find, all the designs that Weeks offers to ensure I was choosing the most suitable one for my situation. Vs another builders sales person who only knew the two houses at the display village I met them at. One of the selling points for me has been the guaranteed build time. I'm doing a knockdown rebuild of the house I live in, so I want to know exactly how long I'll be needing a rental for, to reduce costs where possible.

been a stark deviation from these promises.
Initial Building Process: The building process was fraught with battles. I was incorrectly charged for items, required multiple meetings with higher-ups to no avail, and had to acquiesce despite legal advice suggesting Weeks was in the wrong, simply to avoid further delays. There was delay after delay, and extra charge after extra charge.
Quality of Work: The quality of workmanship is alarmingly poor: - Tiling and grouting in bathrooms are substandard. - Flooring issues persist. - Shonky gyproc and skirting. - Subpar painting, with excuses given to avoid rectification. - My initial walk-through issues remain unresolved.
False Inclusions: I was misled about certain elements of the fit-out being standard inclusions, only to discover this was not the case during selections.
Maintenance Meeting: During my recent maintenance meeting, I felt belittled and gaslit, as if on trial for two hours. I was accused of fabricating issues, which is both disheartening and unprofessional. Being told my expectations were too high highlights a troubling acceptance of substandard workmanship.
Weeks Building Group says it prides itself on delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring client satisfaction. However, my experience has fallen short in every aspect. I now find myself in a home built with what appears to be an acceptance of mediocrity.
Sincerely, Christie Thornton
