made in Australia you would think that they could be repaired. Not so sustainable and this is wasteful so I had to call Dr Drapes instead. Once I complained the offered to take the track away. Not sure what this meant but I had already organised Dr Drapes to come out. I will definitely go with smaller local business instead next time.
Follow-up · They don’t repair curtains out of warranty which is very wasteful. Dr Drapes repaired under $200.

A big shout out to Bendigo blinds and curtains for their great customer service when I needed to replace a broken cord on a blind not even purchased through the store. Even went through the process around fitting the replacement. Needless to say there has never been an issue with the blinds I purchased 16 years ago through Bendigo blinds. Thanks guys. If I could do zero stars I would. We had terrible service from Dollar Curtains and Blinds. They told us we needed to remove a light for absolutely no reason and we wasted money doing so. When we were quoted for a curtain rail in our bedroom we were advised a light would need to be removed, as the curtain needs 10cm clearance from the window to… Read more
hang correctly, and this would put it directly in line with the light. We removed the light at our own cost, and had to have the hole repaired, patched, sanded and painted. This was a great deal of cost and effort to do. Not to mention the plaster dust from having the patch sanded in our bedroom was a nightmare to clean.
When the installer came, I told him we had removed the light as was needed and patched the area. It was not painted at this point yet so you could easily see the patched area. After the installation, I realised the rail did not go through the area where the light was. I called the store and asked why this was the case and to ask if our blind hang correctly as the rail is only 2cm from the window, instead of the 10cm I was told was required.
I was told the curtain would hang fine, but received no apology or accountability about the fact we removed a perfectly functional light in our bedroom for no reason. If the blind will hang fine at 2cm, why did they tell us to remove the light in the first place. I have emailed the store with no response. I think this is horrible customer service and I would advice everyone to run from Dollar Curtains and Blinds as they will force you to spend money on removing lights for no reason.

bad that I’m ordering (from somewhere else) something else to replace the curtain. I have complained about the issue & nothing has been done about it. I was told that no 1 curtain is ever made from the same roll of material & that that’s the way all curtains from all companies are.
