Dr. Kel was fantastic. She was so caring and kind during what was a very emotional time for us. She was gentle and respectful of our darling cat and we are so grateful for that. This is the second time we've had Dr. Kelly from Pawssum help us say goodbye to a beloved fur-baby and we cannot recommend her enough. Show reply
When we made the heartbreaking decision to have our 16 year old English Staffy euthanized we knew we wanted it done at home but we didn't know who we should call. From the moment I made the call to Pawssum to when we said goodbye to our beloved Belle we were very happy and impressed by the service provided. All of the office staff were friendly,… Read more · 1
knowledgeable and helpful and explained everything to us in great detail. Dr Katie, when she arrived, was more than we could have hoped for. She reassured us that we were doing the right thing and was kind, caring, respectful and gentle with both Belle and us. She patiently answered our questions, calmed us and told us everything that was happening to Belle. Dr Katie led us through the procedure and gave us as much time as we wanted with Belle. She spoke softly to Belle as she sedated her and continued to as she gave her the final injection. Even after our Belle had left us, she continued to speak kindly to her. As we had decided on a group cremation, Dr Katie gently wrapped Belle in a lovely blanket and placed her in a beautiful bed. She could not have been more gentle or kinder. Both Dr Katie and the whole experience was well beyond our expectations as we have had our last two dogs euthanized in veterinary surgeries. We cannot more highly recommend Dr Katie and Pawssum and we are so glad we chose them.
I’d just moved house and thought my dachshund had injured his leg in the move as he had a considerable limp and I didn’t have a car to take him to the vet. Dr Jess came out within a hour. She was very calm and was able to settle my dog (who can take time to warm up to new people) and suggest options to help him deal with the move. And of course… Read more · 1
his leg ended up being fine and he was walking normally afterwards. I’m happy she was able to provide her expert opinion so that my mind was at ease. That was everything for me.

A very positive experience from the first phone call to the mobile vet's visit. They were very prompt in finding an emergency vet on Sunday night. Dr Monika was extremely gentle and professional with Putty who is very timid and nervous. I will definitely call Pawssum again if required. Thank you to the team! Show reply
My Buddy loved the vet, will definitely use Pawssum again! Show reply
Went from bad to the unthinkable (&deceptive quotes). I booked online for a at home peaceful euthanasia of my pet, followed by phone call, where each person I spoke to asked me again for details and did not bother to open the file of the details I had already submitted until I told them to. The vet arrived sedated my animal, and suggested… Read more
injection into the kidney. She guessed her weight (incorrectly), even though I was asked to submit this in the paperwork that no one checked. I asked even with her advanced kidney failure would it work and was assured it would. That most people liked this way so they could talk to their pet as they pass. As I was holding my pet the vet asked if she could quietly slip out, I said yes, thinking she’d check my baby and then slip out. Then I heard the door click and turned around and the vet had left, without checking if the injection she gave worked or not. The vet didn’t check that her heart stopped, and didn’t check that she was gone. Leaving for me to work out if she had died before wanting to burry her. I wasn’t even told how long that would take. After 40 minutes of my girl still breathing I knew something was wrong, googled which said less than 1 minute. The vet was only at my house 15 minutes from start to finish and couldn’t have stayed 1 more minute to check. Yes she asked to leave (after 15 minutes) but I shouldn’t have been expected at that time to know what to do, that’s why I paid so much for a professional service. The vet even put it back on me saying I said she could leave, she shouldn’t have ever asked to leave until the service was completed and I’m sure legally, after administering the drug she is meant to stay to observe and check that it worked, if the animal was still alive or not. I called the service for the vet to come back. I was left sitting on the floor for 2.5 hours into the evening with my pet unconscious for the vet to return. Then tells me ‘it was probably because of the kidney failure like you said’, but at the time of asking me this assured was fine and would work. It didn’t. 4 more attempts later, into the heart and then shaving all her legs, pulling and pushing needles back and forth, trying three different veins, finally she passed 3 hours after being sedated (unnecessarily as she barely moved before hand). This was meant to be a peaceful loving last moment with my baby, the last thing I could do for her, Pawssome vet destroyed that and made it a horrible moment, leaving me to burry my girl in the pitch black of night. (Video of my girl still breathing was taken 2 hours after euthanasia injection into the kidney).
My criticism is not with the time my pet took to pass rather the lack of care for anyone to check or read the information requested when booking my girls end of life, and then with being left to figure out on my own whether she had passed. I had no way of knowing if her heart had stopped, all I knew was she was still breathing. That was the vets job and they weren’t there to see it through. I needed the vet to do this so that I could grieve, not just manage her death. It was not peaceful, and now I find they have added an additional fee, unapproved and unnecessary sedation as she was barely moving at 21), to my creditcard. I asked for a quote for a peaceful euthanasia, I was quoted $399. According to the bill, the vet now charged for the initial sedation, which is apart of the euthanasia process…with all vets. The fees are deceiving, showing they are cheaper than all other at home euthanasia services (others all charge $495) but in fact Pawsuum, with this ‘extra’ fee for the same service are a few dollars more than all the others I was quoted in. I believe purposefully deceptive on the behalf of Pawssum.

My experience with Pawssum mobile vets was very positive and Steven was ever so lovely with my cats. He was correct with diagnosis with my older cat and it was a good outcome. I got my kitten health checked and vaccinated as well Whilst he was here at the home. The 3 cats were adjusting to the new kitten so did not want to take them out to a vet.… Read more
This was so stress free and all cats took to Steven immediately which says something now dosnt it. Would totally recommend this wonderful service.
Had to unfortunately call these guys to put our 10yr old shepherd to sleep as she couldn't move and go to a regular vet clinic. They were amazing got someone out, helped with a payment plan because it was so sudden. The vet was wonderful, kind and our lilly passed quickly finally out of pain and free to run on the rainbow bridge.
My 14 year old diabetic dog was experiencing low glucose levels and rather than rush her to emergency and stress her further I called Pawssum vets and within an hour our vet arrived. Dr Chris is the best he made both of us very comfortable and helped ease my mind I wish he was my vet full time. Thank you so much for helping us last night we managed to get a full night's sleep I will definitely be recommending Pawssum to my pet friends ✅❌
Thank you Dr Kel, my cat is now feeling more comfortable after being treated for a urinary tract infection.

Sadly my first consultation with Pawssum was for a Peaceful Euthanasia. The thought of driving to the usual vet and having Maddie (9 year old Burmese) euthanised there wasn’t an option. The staff at Pawssum while arranging this visit was done with so much care and understanding. Dr Lisa came to my home. She was lovely, explained how the process… Read more
was done. Her gentleness was so appreciated. I won’t go into the details, but I was so pleased Maddie could be at home. The follow up communications were appreciated too. I would highly recommend this service. It must be so hard for the vets to carry this sad service. ….if I had a pet I was certainly use this service for general veterinary care.
Very responsive in an emergency and very helpful and caring in our time of need to help my fur baby fly to heaven to meet up with his sister. Thanx for all ur help and support when we needed it most. Show reply
The team and the Doctor were very professional and caring . They keep in contact with me through out the day with updates on the time that the vet would be visiting . Very friendly and caring . I highly recommend this service to any pet owner. Show reply

After a mauling, my Jack Russell was in too much pain for me to even get him into the car. Found Pawssum Vets on Google. I had a vet at my house within two hours of me contacting them at 6am. Compassionate and thorough care given. An extremely happy mum and Rufus.
Clear communication, great service from first point of contact. Amazing Veterinary advice & care from Dr Nicholas Tan.

We feed a cat who had a thick wire through its paw. We called Pawssum and their response was immiediate and caring. Unfortunately they couldnt help but still they were warm and caring and gave good advice. Thank you! Show reply
Follow-up · Pawssum couldn't help due to the nature of the cat's injuries. They were very quick to respond, and spoke to me straight away and emailed me times to book in for a vet visit. However, because the cat had thick wire through its paw, we went elsewhere. Pawssum also followed up to advise this. The cat ended up needing her leg amputated, which Pawssum wouldn't have been able to do.

female vet (my cat disliked men) and did not get back to me on any of my follow up emails. The appointment was traumatic and insensitive. My cat experienced such trauma, panic and fear which made his last 10 minutes to worst he'd had in his life. I was not allowed to hold him or be near him and was told to just leave him alone as he ran in panic through the unit until the sedative kicked in. This made my experience even worse and not only do I feel awful for his last day but I am still trying to get over the trauma myself. The memory is burnt in my mind and my heart. Awful. Just awful!

Easy to book over the phone. Clear and consistent updates via text about when the vet would be coming. Dr Lisa was friendly, thorough and took great care with my dog. Having an extra large dog who woke up unable to walk meant that I wasn’t able to transport her to the local vet so it was such a relief to get treatment and medication at our house. Thank you Show reply
Dr Kel, was fantastic and very supportive, with our beautiful old dog. She provided honest trusted advice and assisted our dog to pass away calmly and quietly at home in his bed with his family around him. Show reply
I was extremely pleased with Dr Jess. She was very gentle with my dog Marlo and didn't rush the examination at all. Marlo is usually so anxious when we go to the vet but even having blood taken and an injection didn't upset her. I would highly recommend at home visit and especially with Dr Jess.
Negative reviews
Incompetent and useless . They couldn't tell my mate that I had a booking therefore he couldn't pay and my poor baby had to suffer. Do not use these people. I will be contacting my lawyer
The vet that came to our house was amazing and did a wonderful job. However be warned, the company itself is quite predatory when it comes to making money. The fees told to us once our pup was already sedated and pending end of life treatment were more than double that advertised on the website, at a time when no reasonable person would refuse.… Read more

Again the vert was amazing but anyone engaging this company should be very aware about the people they are dealing with.
Their practices are so poor that Consumer Affairs Victoria has had to be involved
Sue Swain Seriously, there are ZERO STARS FOR THIS COMPANY! This company is purely an agency for finding vets who are free to do a job at the time. One assumes the tasks are posted on their platform and responded to. Sadly, you don't know who you… Read more

[Name Removed], who was obviously free at the time and picked up the job, was sent to euthanise our lovely schnauzer Dyson.
12 years old, toothless, diabetic, one eye, mouth cancer growths, failing liver, bleeding from the mouth... [Name Removed] said he was 'aggressive'. His rough and callous treatment of our gentle dog was sickening.
This individual is arrogant, non-empathic and cruel. Nothing matters to him other than the extra money you need to pay him.
He is an absolute disgrace to the veterinary association.
To add fuel to the fire, the manager at Pawssum Sydney, [Name Removed], is just as aggressive.
When I sent word to express our actual horror at the proceedings that had occurred, (mostly to make them aware of the quality of this vet), 24 hours later, she responded. She spoke to my daughter, told her that [Name Removed] said Dyson was aggressive and refused to listen.
Dyon, 12 years old, a gentle, gentle soul. Mona Vale Vets can attest to his placid nature and lack of aggression. Southern Highlands vets can attest to his placid nature and lack of aggression. [Name Removed] from SASH vets can attest to his placid nature and lack of aggression
PLEASE, if you need a vet and use Pawssum, DON'T LET [Name Removed] NEAR YOUR ANIMAL! We will do all we can to prevent this happening to someone else....
Euthanasia...."Good Death" - someone needs to tell Pawssum that. $1,191.00 for the torture of our dog.
Follow-up · To follow up on readers’ questions after my review…. I have no idea how vets are screened.
