Overall sentiment regarding Plush Furniture is divided, reflecting a distinct contrast between in-store sales interactions and post-purchase support. While customers frequently praise individual service technicians for efficient on-site repairs and highlight positive initial buying experiences, a significant number of negative reviews point to challenges with delivery timeframes, product durability, and warranty claims. Key takeaways indicate that while purchasing and repair visits often go well, resolving broader product or policy disputes through customer service can be a frustrating experience for some buyers.
The technician and warranty supervisor were horrible to deal with. I put a warranty claim through on the 16th August. Couch started sagging on one side. I didnt get a response till 2 weeks later asking more questions, even though that was originally submitted in warranty claim. I waited another week later and was informed a technician will be in… Read more
touch. When i was advised the date, it stated the technician will let you know time the evening prior. How is that even reasonable for someone who works or has kids?? I called their booking team and raised concerns over the technician times. I said I can't commit to the time till I have an idea on what that looks like. They advised they will contact technician to raise these questions and concerns and call me back. I never got the call back. I got another msg saying I had to confirm 15th sept with technician, or id lose it. On the 14th September at 4:17pm I received a sms from technician, saying he will come between 7am-12pm. I had no choice, but to be available. On the 15th sept I received a call from a random number at 10:18am. After checking, it wasnt the same mobile number as technician. So I waited to receive a voicemail or sms. I received nothing. I called technician 11:30am with no answer. I then sent sms asking when he would arrive. I got no response. 11:50am I called booking team and was told technician tried calling 10:20am and left message. I received no sms or voicemail. I got told I had to re-book. Plush even sent me an email 1 week earlier saying they had a security incident. Customer orders, emails, phone and address was accessed. So it actually states do not answer numbers you dont recognise. Then to be told from the supervisor will theres nothing that can be done. Yet they expect me to send my evidence on technician not sending sms, so they can investigate for their own internal process. After that I still have to re-book again. Why do customers need to put themselves out when they try do the right thing. I had to drop everything to wait around for their technician. The least he could have done is send sms to let me know. But for plush to say theres nothing they can do and to rebook when you initially complained it would be hard to commit. Its outrageous! I asked to escalate further but will claimed he's the only person to investigate. Im considering the ombudsman. The way they handled everything, i now refuse to talk directly. They dont care about customers. Id rather correspond by email so I can record everything. They are cunning! Please believe past reviews about warranty
Absolutely disgraceful quality, fabric has pilled and has pulls all over the lounge in less than 18 months. Customer care couldn't care less and says its normal wear and tear for a 10k lounge. Paid extra for fabric care, had a service person come out and snip/cut a loop pull and was told its so common for them to look this bad. Specifically asked… Read more

(Mark from Brisbane) Service Technician from Nick Scali and Plush is an idiot (He asked me to quote his name in the review request). And I used your link, now to do your other one. So Mark here is your review... Mark is quite cocky and arrogant, was quite dismissive with questions that I had while he was "inspecting" the sofa. When I asked him if… Read more
this was common for Nick Scali leather to have similar issues, he just blew me off and said that he doesn't know because all he does is look at defective products. Yeah right!!! Under two years normal wear and tear for paint coming of leather sofa??? Now I know why this family of company's only warrant their leather for two years. I wish that I had read all the previous reviews about Nick Scali leather before I purchased this leather sofa, all have a similar experience dealing with Nick Scali group of company's and all have issues with Nick Scali/Plush fixing their leather issues. Light sofa less than two years old, pictured below. Dark brown sofa which this Nick Scali piece of crap sofa replaced, with 14 years plus of normal wear and tear and the leather is flawless, pictured below.

My wife and I recently purchased 2 leather sofas from Plush Caringbah. Our experience was made all the easier with our sales consultant Jennifer. She was excellent explaining everything to us and answered all our questions with ease and professionalism. I would highly recommend anyone to Plush Caringbah and in particular Jennifer! We ordered a Plush lounge from Sudheera at Payneham and she helped us immensely in choosing the right lounge for us. We love our lounge and it is perfect for the space that we had. Thankyou so much Sudherra and the wonderful team at Payneham ☺️ Karina & Brett Show details · 1

We’ve been loyal customers of Plush Think Sofas for a while now and this is actually our second purchase from them. The team at Plush is always friendly, professional, and helpful, and the quality of their sofas is excellent — that’s the main reason we keep coming back. long time. More concerning this time was the delivery experience itself — the team left packaging materials scattered all over the place, and some of it even blew into the neighbourhood. That felt quite inconsiderate and unprofessional.
When we raised this with Plush customer care, we were told that deliveries are handled by a third party and that they can’t take responsibility for how the delivery is carried out. As customers, we find this disappointing — Plush doesn’t allow customers to pick up their own furniture, yet they also refuse to take accountability for their chosen delivery partners. It’s something that definitely needs improvement, considering how great the rest of the Plush experience is.

SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUES - REGRETTABLE PURCHASE We visited our local Plush Sofa store in January 2026 to purchase a new lounge. We were shown the Bodhi Zero Gravity Sofa and explained its features and benefits. Our first question after seeing the sofa fully reclined was how far off the wall does the lounge need to be to achieve the full zero… Read more
gravity. The answer was that It doesn’t need to be away from the wall. Given our previous lounge was flush against the wall, I took this statement as true and reasonable. We returned to store on the 1/2/26 to place our order. Lounge was delivered after 3 long months of waiting on the 7/5/26. It was noted immediately that the lounge in fact DOES need to be off the wall to have full zero gravity recline and it is a massive 25cm clearance required to be fully covered by Plush warranty and to not cause damage to the lounge or walls. Our main concern is we have 3 small dogs that have easy access to behind the lounge. They regularly get stuck and caught up in the electrical cords, often causing the plugs do be disconnected disconnecting the lounge from the power point. I can not give them access to that room when no one is home in case they get stuck or worse still. If you have small children, especially one that is crawling, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES leave any child unattended or unsupervised whilst in the same room as this lounge. This is a tragic accident waiting to happen. I am an average size adult and I can stand In between the lounge and wall. It is ugly and unsightly when you walk past it and on top of all of that, it is so uncomfortable. Nothing like the show room model. We were told we had to sit in it for 6 to 12 months to achieve the same comfort level as the show room. After 2 home visits and told that our case has been handed to Regional Manager, we have still not had a response. Was happy to work with Plush to have the lounge replaced or refunded, but no word as of the 25/8/26 - I could have ordered and replaced my longer by now. Save your $3500 and purchase elsewhere.

Purchased a Plush Vancouver leather lounge suite delivered in October 2020. At the time of sale, staff repeatedly promoted a “10-year warranty” with no mention of the heavy pro-rata contributions or the difficulties in claiming on leather issues. After less than six years of normal domestic use (its factually less as the issue began to appear 2… Read more
years ago and has gradually worsened until a family member stated this was a material and manufacturing failure due to cheap leather being used) significant peeling and pigment loss developed on the leather, mainly on the headrest of the right-arm recliner and the middle seat cushion. When I contacted Plush, they initially required me to pay an inspection fee (first quoted at $84, later corrected to $72) before they would even assess the problem. Only after I pushed back and cited my rights under the Australian Consumer Law did they waive the fee as a “gesture of goodwill.” The inspection took place on 20 July 2026. The contractor attributed the damage to body oils, perspiration and insufficient maintenance, and said the lounge needed complete reupholstery. I mean really? What are these lounges made for? Last i checked they were made for humans to sit on, so of course they must be able to withstand body oils and perspiration! Plush accepted this finding, refused any remedy under their warranty or the Australian Consumer Law, and directed me to contact the same contractor myself to arrange and pay for repairs. I disputed the conclusions in writing, noting that I had used the original Plush Care Kit and Leather Honey conditioner they supplied. Plush did not change their position and stopped responding. The experience left me with a lounge showing premature leather failure, a warranty that appears very difficult to claim on, and customer service that focused on shifting blame rather than resolving the issue. The sales pitch of a straightforward 10-year warranty did not match the reality of dealing with Plush when something went wrong. P.s leather wallet which has been heavily used day in day out for more then 25 years still has the original colour i purchased it with and no fading on any part even though this has been exposed to more frequent body oils and perspiration (daily hand usage) and chafing / rubbing (in and out of pockets and open and closed) then a leather lounge would ever be exposed to….. just shows the difference between good quality leather and bad quality! Buyer beware of misleading warranty! There are many other similar cases to mine!

I am very disappointed with my experience with Plush. From an early stage, the couch developed issues that have significantly impacted both its comfort and usability. Despite attempts to have these concerns properly assessed, I was advised that the issue was due to the feathers in the cushions requiring daily plumping. However, this does not… Read more
address the underlying problem. The real issue lies with the seat cushion foam compressing excessively and the base springs failing, resulting in noticeable sinking. When seated, the foam compresses to the point of contacting the base structure, indicating a clear loss of support. For a premium-priced piece of furniture marketed as durable and long-lasting, this is simply not acceptable after only 18 months of below-average use.
The couch has caused ongoing back discomfort and fails to provide the level of support that would reasonably be expected of a quality lounge. I purchased a separate three-seater of the same design at the same time, which has not exhibited any comparable issues. This strongly indicates that the couch in question is defective; however, despite this being raised, the matter remains unresolved 4 months later.
While customer service has remained polite throughout this process, I am ultimately left with a product that has failed to meet reasonable expectations of quality and durability. Attributing the issue to feather composition is not an adequate explanation or resolution. Accordingly, I will be exploring my rights to pursue a refund, under applicable consumer guarantees.
Given the cost of the lounge and the issues experienced, I would not purchase from Plush again. I would also encourage others to carefully research alternative options before making such a significant investment.

We purchased the leather Melbourne sofa, 2.5 seater with chaise and single seat in 2022. This was sold to us as quality 100% leather lounge. have lodged this issue with plush twice and each time they refuse to repair or refund stating it is not a product fault! Leather lounges are supposed to last for many, many years. We had Ashley from Plush Furniture repair a switch mechanism on our couch. Ashley was on time and diagnosed the issue and carried out the repair, he also took time to explain how it may reoccur and steps to avoid in the future. Ashley went above and beyond with some additional fixings to secure the switch and frame work. Expert knowledge and service, highly recommend his workmanship and attention to detail. Show details · 1

8 weeks and counting for a simple recliner repair — still not fixed (03/09/2026) I submitted a warranty claim for a manual recliner mechanism replacement 8 weeks ago. warranty window, so I agreed to pay $150 for the part — payment made immediately.
A number of weeks after payment for the part was made, I made multiple phone calls to Plush seeking a date for the repair to happen. Finally, eight weeks after the date I first lodged the claim, the technician was scheduled to complete the repair.... however, the day prior to him attending to repair the sofa, he called to say the warehouse never actually ordered the part (even though I paid for it at least 5 weeks prior). When I asked for an update or a revised timeframe, I was told "no idea."
I've paid for this repair in full and have had no sofa function, am unable to sit on the sofa, and have had little proactive communication from Plush for two months. Happy to pay for out-of-warranty parts — the problem is what happens after you pay: nothing, until you chase it yourself.
Would strongly encourage anyone considering a purchase from Plush (owned by Nick Scali) to factor in the after-sales experience if a warranty claim is ever needed.

Such a disappointing experience with the warranty claim department. At no point throughout my 8 emails and 3 phone calls was I ever told that warranty will only cover 40% of repair costs and we would be left with 60% due to the lounge being 6 years old, nor is that listed in their manufacturers warranty on their website (where it states warranty… Read more
is 10 years). After paying $75 for an independent inspection and waiting for a total of 10 weeks for a response, to be told to pay $1200 for repairs is disgusting; especially given that they said 40% was always the best case scenario. Had I had this information from the beginning, I would never have proceeded with a warranty claim and this miscommunication cost a full-time student $75 that would have really been better put towards living expenses. Do better Plush! This should be clearly listed on your warranty claim section of your website and discussed by customer service representatives before proceeding with a claim.

weeks. He even remarked that, barring something as extreme as "World War III," I would have it within that timeframe. Based on those assurances, I decided to purchase from this store.
Now, as we approach the six-week mark, I've been told to expect delivery in around 10 weeks instead. When I raised the earlier conversation, I felt my concerns were dismissed, and it was suggested that no such commitment had been made.
I understand that delays can happen, but I expect clear and consistent communication. If the realistic delivery timeframe was closer to 10 weeks, I would have preferred that to be communicated upfront so I could make an informed decision.
My disappointment isn't with the delay itself as much as the difference between what I believe I was promised and what I'm now being told. I hope the store improves the accuracy and consistency of the information provided to customers.

a showroom model being more worn in.
I contacted the company shortly after delivery and was advised that the sofa simply needed time to wear in. After six months of regular use, it remained extremely firm and uncomfortable, to the point that nobody in our family actually wanted to sit on it.
I eventually gave up pursuing the issue until I was in store with family members who were considering purchasing a sofa. After mentioning my experience, staff encouraged me to follow up again and have the issue reassessed.
A representative eventually attended to inspect the sofa. The outcome was disappointing. I was essentially told that if a sofa is too soft there are options available to make it firmer, but because mine was too firm there was nothing that could be done.
Since then, I have come across several reviews describing very identical issues with the same model, which has now been discontinued. The fabric itself has held up well and remains in excellent condition, but unfortunately comfort is the most important feature of a sofa, and ours has never matched the product we originally tested in store.
As a result, what should have been a comfortable family lounge has become little more than an expensive feature piece, as nobody actually wants to sit on it.
I would welcome the opportunity for Plus My Sofas to contact me to discuss a resolution. - EDIT Contact update from Plush didn’t actually acknowledge the issue or attempt to resolve anything so once again just great customer service!
