google the complaints from 100s of people all around the world. Facebook, redit ect hundreds of the exact same complaint. Then after your machine leaks on day one, they exchange it for another faulty unit then exchange it for another faulty unit. To then blame you when that one is also faulty. Because the company is in receivership and going broke because their product is so faulty. The mops leak from day 1, they send out seals to help that leak after a few months, then apparently its our fault and deny warranty so they can save money.

They know their product is faulty, hence the seal kit that needs replacing over and over again.

Do not buy this product or anything from this company.

The auto mop washing is awesome. Filling/emptying the tanks rolls around more often than I expected but I don't actually mind as it just reminds me how much cleaning it's done; I do suggest putting the dock somewhere near a bathroom so it's easy to top up and empty.

The vacuum + mop works better than expected, I kind of thought I'd have to vacuum *then* mop but it works well as one mode. Super happy with this purchase.

disappointing. Within the first 9 months, the unit had to be sent for repair. Again, at around the 14-month mark, I had to send it back for service a second time. Both interactions with the service team were far from customer-friendly. After each repair, the product initially works, but within a few months the same issues return. Currently, the vacuum has significantly lost suction power, the mopping function has become ineffective, and the noise level is excessive—it sounds like multiple vacuum cleaners running at once. Dealing with customer service adds to the frustration. When you report an issue, you are often treated with skepticism and asked to provide video evidence. After submitting the requested videos, you are issued a courier label that must be printed manually (for example, at Officeworks), and you are required to pack and ship the entire unit yourself via the post office. The turnaround time is typically 7–10 days, after which the product is returned with no clear explanation of what was repaired or what caused the issue. Unfortunately, within a few months, the same problems tend to reappear, leading to a repeated cycle of inconvenience. Based on my experience, this product may only perform reliably for 6–8 months before issues begin. I would recommend considering this carefully before purchasing.

The return process itself was a poor experience: no courier was arranged despite the unit being large and heavy, so I had to source my own box, buy protective packaging at my own expense, carry the unit myself, and print a shipping label at a public library since none was emailed in a usable format. When the unit came back faulty, Roborock's customer service initially offered only a repair, despite this clearly meeting the threshold for a major failure under Australian Consumer Law, and proceeded with the repair regardless of my written request for a replacement. For a product marketed at a premium price point, this level of build reliability and post-sales support was disappointing, and I would think carefully before purchasing from Roborock again. I will certainly be moving away from this product.

Reddit I easily managed to get upstairs set up as well on a different map. The instructions for a multilayered house were unfortunately lacking in the booklet. Then again, who needs booklets, when you've got Google. Our 'Rocky' avoids the cats and later on comes back to those spots she avoided. Meanwhile she takes pictures of the 'obstacles' (loads of cute cat pic's!). She makes an amazing job of the laminate flooring. One of our carpets is disintegrating of old age and in need of replacement. She vacuums the woolen fibres up, which block her brushes up, awkward but can't hold it against her. At some stage she didn't vacuum very well. After some investigation, I realized she tried to inhale a nerf gun bullet and it packed her dust inlet. After unblocking her she's beenperfect! She avoids most objects accept some of the cat toys (toy mice, nerf gun bullets etc). For the price I paid, still a great product: Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 (NZ$1499 Roborock website, large discount). Questions per email about delivery time were answered quickly and accurately by the customer service center. If, like me, you struggle paying over $2000 then I highly recommend the Qrevo Curv 2!

customer service who wasted another week fluffing around telling me to check if I’ve plugged it in & turned it on, you all know the score with the runaround! I finally got a phone number & rang. First question was do you have 5G? Yes I said. I am then informed that it won’t work on the 5G network. Told me to contact service provider to change my service to a mix of 5G & a 2.4G. Are they joking?? We don’t even have 3G anymore. I have no idea if this machine is good or bad as I cannot get it to function. It needs wifi to be shown its route it will take after the initial use. This revue is for the company and there handling of my problem. I can’t have a refund because it is not a quality issue.

Reliability has been poor. At around 7 months the right wheel jammed and needed manual intervention to free it. Then at around 14 months the unit developed a charging fault: it started reporting low battery mid-cycle and returning to the dock, before eventually losing the ability to power on at all. I went through Roborock's full troubleshooting process which didn't help

Roborock's support was polite but unhelpful: since the 12-month warranty had expired, they'd only offer a paid repair with the cost to be confirmed after inspection. No acknowledgment that a $699 appliance failing outright after 14 months of normal use falls short of reasonably expectation.

I ended up resolving it through Amazon rather than Roborock, who processed a full refund once I raised it as an Australian Consumer Law claim rather than a warranty request.

the plate vibrated to give it the necessary bite to clean but I never saw this occurring. Almost a month of ownership before I found out the instructions were actually referring to a more advanced model ...but they never made the distinction between models covered by the (very scant) instructions. So when I came across an Ecovacs T50 Omni on sale for less than half price, I decided I would give it a go. This model has twin rotating mopheads (more of that later) which I had since found out to be more effective than dragging around a wet static pad.

SETTING UP: Unpacking and physically setting up the vacuum presented no particular problems ...except for the supplied instructions. There is a “leaflet” rather than a manual supplied in the box, and the expectation is that (apart from the basics), you look at the information supplied on Ecovacs website or in the Ecovacs app. If you don’t already have the Ecovacs app, you need to download this first, create an account, pair the vacuum to your WiFi and then allow the vacuum to “map” your house. Compared with previous robot vacuums, I must commend Ecovacs for streamlining the process and having it done in quick time. Some tips here include removing “temporary” obstructions such as random child/dog toys, putting up chairs and generally removing anything that is “temporarily” there. Another tip is closing blinds on sliding glass doors and windows that extend to floor level. The first time I tried the mapping the vacuum “looked” through the glass and attempted to map the outside entertainment area where it will never go. In my case, took about 30minutes to complete the map but it will still require you to go into the app and add virtual barriers between rooms as well as naming them. This will make it a lot easier to specifically target set rooms when the vacuum is sent out to work.

VACUUMING: The vacuum process is operated from the phone app or from linking to Alexa/Google. My wife and I always find it easier to access the app to control the unit and we have the app on both our phones as well as both our tablets to do this. You can also turn on a voice control called Yiko (pronounced "yeeko") whereby you can vocally direct operations for the robot. Tip. There is a lit three pointed star on the front of the vacuum. If the lights are white, voice control is off. If the lights are yellow, voice control is turned on. As well as cleaning individual rooms, the app also allows for “Scenario Cleaning” where you can create cleaning routines to do particular rooms. You can also set the water flow rate for mopping as well as select levels of vacuuming suction ...such as Quiet Mode, Standard, Strong and Max. Cleaning speed too can be adjusted between “Standard”, Depp Cleaning and Quick as well as designating a single or double pass.

MOPPING: There are two spinning mops at the rear. They are velcroed onto the pads which are in turn held onto the vacuum with strong magnets. This makes it easy to replace when the mop pads become worn (Ecovacs recommends after 150 hours of operation). You can detach the cloth mops from the mop pad and put them in the washing machine but that is not frequently required as the machine washes and drys the mops (to prevent smells) after each clean. On the top of the docking station are two large (detachable) water tanks. One contains the fresh water for mopping while the other contains the dirty “gray” water retrieved from the mops. Tip. Add a third of a cup of white vinegar to the retrieved gray water tank as it can smell between emptying. I found it only requires emptying every week or so. While you can use plain water for mopping, Ecovacs recommends adding their cleaning concentrate to the water. It's fairly economical with only two capfuls per tank load. I notice the more “advanced” models have a separate bottle that automatically add the concentrate but feels its just as easy to add the capfuls when you refill the clean water tank every week or so than to have the extra expense and complexity of a separate bottle?

FUNCTIONALITY: The robot is able to do both hard floors and carpets/mats in one operation. It sensors are smart enough to detect carpet/mats and retract the mop heads away automatically until it returns to hard floors. Has always worked flawlessly for us. To assist with vacuuming into tight corners, the spinning brush mounted on the front automatically extends the brush out further on an arm to reach into the corner. Likewise, one of the mop heads will also extend into a corner for more complete cleaning. For tough vacuuming jobs (such as cleaning pet hair from carpets), the “Max” setting works fairly well although some hair from our golden retriever can defy removal. In all fairness, a standard electrical vacuum cleaner would require a couple of passes to lift it too. We have vinyl plank floors and both my wife and I were impressed after a few days of mopping just how shiny and clean they were. It’s really just maintenance now every couple of days to keep them that way. There is, however, one annoying issue we encounter sometimes. We have a coffee table which has legs splayed at approximately 45°. Sometimes, the machine will attempt to climb one of these legs (Ecovacs states the machine will climb obstacles up to 2cm in height) and in doing so lifts its drive wheels off the floor. At this point it will call out for assistance (I haven’t mentioned how talkative it is) and ask to be put back on the floor. Our previous Ecovacs vacuum did the same thing with this table with the difference being after you rescued it, it constantly said it was lost and then had to physically put back on the docking station thus cancelling the job. To the credit of the T50 Omni, it will roam around the area saying it is “recalculating”, find its location and resume duty. We have never experienced a time when it got lost and had to be put back on the station manually. The robot is particularly chatty and fully announces constantly what it is doing at each stage of the various operations it is performing ...although you can adjust voice volume or turn it off completely. Of all the robot vacuum we have previously had, this one has the best battery longevity and only returns to the docking station mid job if you have it set to maximum suction and attempt to clean more than half the house. I feel standard suction will see it clean a medium size house in one go. Even when away from home, you can follow the cleaning progress in the app where a constantly updating “snail trail” shows not only its current location on your rooms map but also where it has been. Spare parts are reasonably priced and cheaper "knock offs" are available from 3rd party sellers. The internal dust bag is single use and will need replacing periodically. All “maintenance” parts have set hours for working until they need replacing or cleaning. The app alerts you to this with sufficient time to order the part in. Ecovacs “gamifies” adjusting settings in the app by awarding you points for doing certain things. Once accumulated, these points can then be used to receive discounts on maintenance parts. SUMMARY: Both my wife and I have been impressed (particularly my wife) with the performance and functionality of this cleaner. For daily maintenance, the vacuum works well while we have both found the mopping to be particularly impressive. It’s not particularly loud in operation and can be scheduled for regular cleaning jobs. The things I didn’t like are fairly minor overall and so I am happy to give this one a five star rating based on its use.

The initial repair process was a nightmare: • They took three months just to send the AusPost label for the assessment. • I was initially told the repair was covered under warranty, only to be told later that it was not. • They erroneously claimed my warranty period had finished and quoted a repair cost of around $600. This was demonstrably their fault on paper. To top it all off, I had to pay the delivery cost myself just to get the unrepaired robot back. The only silver lining is that I had an extended warranty through Harvey Norman, and I luckily got a full refund from them. I strongly advise against dealing with this company based on their incredibly poor service, lack of accountability, and deceptive communication.

nightmare and I am very tech savvy. I would not connect at all to an iphone but did to an android. I use this as a daily pick up machine as I have a german shepherd. For those not familiar with them, they malt all year round. If you vacuum in the evening, by morning there are large tufts of hair in the living areas. I do not use it on carpect, only tiles. Despite it supposedly having the feature of being OK over cables, make sure all cables are off the floor, it gets badly tangled and doesn'stop when it does. The fact it talks to you is not annoying; sometimes it is amusing and occasionally useful. A feature of stopping requiring the chamber to be emptied would be useful. I would prefer a larger chamber but it would be easily sufficient for a family without a dog that loses so much fur. You need to fill up the water reservoir for every clean. To save money, I used the original mop piece as a template and cut it out of microfibre cloths. I got 4 per cloth (Bunnings ones) If you sew two together it works perfectly and is a heck of a lot cheaper than using proper ones. It sticks to the velcro attachment with no problems. Just wet the makeshift mop before you start the machine. The mop does enough as a daily wipe down of the tiles but obviously proper mopping still needs to be done. It would be better if it could use some detergent which it can't. It gets close enough to walls and corners to be effective enough. It also fits under remarkably low furniture. It comes apart easily and is more robust than it seems except the flimsy cover between the roller and dustbin. It operates fine without it when it falls off though. I recommend it as long as it is just a regular tidy up machine, not used as a serious vacuum or mop. The battery lasts for ages. I have a large living/hall/kitchen/foyer space - it has never had a problem with battery even when I have run it twice in sucession.

roughly eight months, the vacuum started running in circles. After a lot of emails and fault-finding efforts, I eventually received a replacement unit at no cost, which I appreciated.

Unfortunately, about six months later, the same issue occurred. This time, I couldn't get a replacement since the warranty had expired. Additionally, the battery runtime is quite short, and it often gets stuck in areas where my other robot vacuum doesn't (yes, I have two—clean freak here!).

and Ecovacs before shortlisting Ecovacs for their after sales service. Inevitably new models may encounter issues so you do want someone that won’t leave you high and dry, pardon the pun.

I had then shortlisted the X80 for its reliability while X11 cyclone because I didn’t want to buy dust bags. Unfortunately the X11’s reliability is suspect and X12 isn’t yet available in Aust. So between X11 Omni and T90, this was better spec-Ed and cheaper (due to sales). Primarily I was looking for good navigation and suction.

When it first came, it did take very long on its first run trying to map out the area. It is recommended to let it vac several times before mopping. Here’s another advantage- the T90 has a physical cover that covers the mop when it has to vac, no more wet carpets! My carpets and floors are now cleaner than when I was manually vac-ing and mopping.

The navigation is also better than expected - after I move things around (eg rugs or potted plants) it can reroute. For instance, it does seem to have moods and finds alternate routes back to dock. So it can work around humans, pets, ie life. And it has a pet mode too!

Now the cons where the software is a letdown. The T90 has the new AI called Yiko and an improved app which X80 doesn’t. However, I find Yiko unhelpful, you can tell it simple instructions but you can’t talk to it. And it can’t give simple info like how to perform certain tasks. So it’s more like a bot than a true AI (even my ChatGPT scoffed). Relatedly, there aren’t detailed instructions on Ecovacs site or the physical manual for many tasks, as they rely on its otherwise relatively instinctive app interface.

The app is mostly useful but has some niggling annoyances. The bot can only be issued one set of instructions at a time. You can add tasks (eg zones but not rooms) but it will insert into its current flow rather than append behind, and you can’t change the order. The map is also glitchy and it’s difficult to exactly pinpoint where to add dividers, furniture, etc; you are just kinda guessing based on its route. Also, if it is fast charging (another useful feature for houses), cleaning itself or other dock activities, you can’t update or issue new instructions. Similarly, during cleaning, u can’t update the map eg to inform it about new furniture to avoid.

Otherwise, the app is cool - as you perform more tasks, it gives you points that you can accumulate towards discounts for its merch eg dust bags or cleaning solution.

In sum, it has been a true time and energy saver. I do hope for a software update.

Update: I've now used it for 2 weeks and I'm ready to comment on the after sales service. My robo did have an incident where I needed to check with customer service (one relatively simple question and a second less easy question). You can contact them several ways (via app, ring them, or email) and they are super responsive - there is an immediate chat but if they're offline, there's email and they will respond probably within 24 to 48 hours. The downside (associated with any call centre I guess) - different agents take your service job so either you explain your whole history or you get FAQ responses because they don't have the time (and don't bother?) to read your whole case. To be fair, the app does have a slightly clunky to navigate FAQ (as it houses FAQ for all their robos not just your model), which I had already read before logging a service question. Remember my earlier comment - if they updated Yiko to be able to handle simpler questions rather than trawl through the help site, maybe that would already cut down 90% of the service jobs!

In case you're curious - my question was how to move my dock. Answer - you have to remap the entire map otherwise my robo was getting very lost and plaintively calling out for help!

the worst. They are incompetent and I would rate their communication 0/10 ROBOROCK requests the broken goods to be posted to them. They will not notify you at any stage, so you will be in the dark during the repair process. You won’t even know if they have received the goods! After a few weeks, when your robot is returned, you will find that the exact same problem still persists. The repair was an absolute waste of time. The second time around, they can’t even manage to send the right Aus post repair labels. It has been 2 weeks and I am still waiting for them to send me the correct post return labels And don’t even think about asking for a refund, oh my god

automatically cleaned after each time you use it. The cons are that it still gets entangled with cables even though it is better than prior ones but still that issue is persistent. The dirty water tank for it not to smell,do an easy trick and put a drop of dishwasher soap or disinfectant spray and it doesn't smell bad but you need to maintain it.
