and asked me to help them put it together. After finding a decent video of how it should be put together we did so. Holes not punched through properly or not even there. Holes not lining up properly and a different arrangement of holes compared to video. Construction is flimsy and to be honest...complete rubbish. How anyone could have the audacity to sell such garbage is beyond me. Would NEVER EVER buy one myself.

2025. I had a wonderful experience in dealing with them in every aspect of the transaction and left a 5 star review for their efforts. Since then, my needs changed slightly due to my declining health condition, which is incurable. I contacted George Megaloudis, who runs their Victoria East operations and explained my situation. I told him that I now needed a few minor adjustments and changes to customize my bed, to suit my new specific needs. I was really impressed with George's attitude and willingness to help me. He organized a team to come to my home and make the changes, to ensure that I was comfortable and happy with the results. In this day and age it is a rare thing to find a company who is willing to go above and beyond normal customer service standards and be willing to put themselves out, to benefit their customers. On the service:

Original delivery was quoted 6-8 weeks. After 8 weeks we emailed to enquire. After a follow up they finally responded and said it would be another 6-8 weeks (!).

We received an email saying all or part of our order was on its way to Melbourne - we just had to guess if it's all or part of the order. No delivery date. Then one day, we get home and it's on our porch (see pic).

On the product:

Workmanship isn't amazing. I know it's just the slats, but they're rough cut and unfinished and already showing signs of splitting. See pics. The middle support legs are also raw timber; so are.not protected from moisture

The bits you can see seem like they have a light coat of finish.

Not impressed with this for the wait and for the price. Def doesn't live up to the marketing spin.

When first set up, the Fabric was great, nice and soft even though it feels a little on the cheaper side..

Build quality - it's not the best. The instructions were fine, although we did end up with a bunch of black plastic rings that didn't have any place in the instructions, so they are still in the drawer. Read through the website and the booklet, watch the videos - they are never used. Boxes arrived with one missing; needed to wait a few days for the final one to arrive after a run around with Koala.

We have had the sofa for just under two months.

The sofa itself has already started to lose its shape because of the design in the hinges of the seated sofa, connecting to the back. The fabric has already shown signs of pilling, which makes it feel scratchy. (Our sofa is one used in the afternoons by our young son if he needs a bit of chill time, or a few family movie nights). The back cushions also sink and slip down the space where the sofa doesn't sit flat against the back.

The sofa bed itself - what a disaster. The fold-out design is easy, which is where the stars come for the review. The half of the mattress that is on the base is hard beyond any measure of comfort. The other half is reasonably comfortable; however, due to the fold, you roll into the base and sink in the middle. It's literally impossible for two people to sleep comfortably on this. We are investing in a mattress topper to try and see if we can make this more comfortable (More money spent).

And then there are the straps at the back that keep the base to the couch when folded out in the corners. They make being able to add a mattress topper or a top sheet void - you can't actually tuck anything under. Extremely frustrating, and the sheets just pull off when you're sleeping or watching a movie.

Koala did ring at one point to discuss our purchase; however, when I asked them to call back in 30 minutes, they never did. Since enquiring about the sleep trial, we have not heard anything from them at all. Crickets.

If you are buying this sofa for an unused space, where you may get a quick sleep on it once or twice a year, I'd say it's okay. For anything that actually needs to be functional, I'd avoid it. For the price, you could get a far nicer sofa/ sofa bed.

This chair is like Sydney Sweeney's cleavage. Looks amazing, is spacious and comfortable, and makes long term play sessions much easier, can easily fall asleep in it, and has enough places to rest your hands. Once experienced you will never go back.

mattresses split and broke down in alittle over 12 months use. I have agreed to trial a 3rd from a different batch, but am hesitant to recommend at all. Im now spending more on chiropractic than ever before. The electric functions are great, the massage function fun, but my experiences with the mattresses so far extremely costly to my physical and even mental health( after many sleepless nights and stiffness in my body most mornings) and overall disappointing. Having previously trialed a Tempur matress which was amazing, l am very sorry l didnt go that way instead.

Christmas delivery and holidays were great. Assembly was simple and straight forward. My wife loves the look of the Pheasant wood. Matches the rest of our furniture by sheer chance. Operation of the controls and memory functions are simple and work well. I confirmed the motors are strong enough to lift my body weight. At the maximum height, there is minimal sideways wobble and at the lower heights there is no sideways wobble. The power board and cable channel work nicely and conceal cabling. Assembly instructions were clear. Very happy with my transactions with UpDown Desk. P.S. Toby, I'm really going to enjoy my desk ;)
