Despite it being a very small order, Greg and the rest of the team were very helpful and made it easy to order a replacement window that fitted perfectly. I needed to coordinate the delivery for when the builder needed it and the team at A&L were very accomodating and ensured it was delivered on time. A&L is a great local SE QLD company that I have no hesitation recommending for your windows and screens, whether it’s the whole house or just a single window like ours.

explained to us from the get go as they are made overseas. With my wife been European this was great as we were getting a product the same as in Europe. On the day of install it took a good 5 hours. Once it was done the installer told us they would be ordering a new window as the one they installed had a very tine 1cm scratch at the bottom which you would never see unless looking for it. This made us proud we went with NuEco windows. They swapped our window out a month later. We continued to use them for the 2nd bedroom and kitchen windows all up 4 windows 2024 The team were amazing. They spoke to us through problems they came across as the house is 20 years old and rectified it without fuss or extra charge. Needless to say its now 2026 and we are about to call them to come quote our last 2 windows. The team really know what they are doing we had a number of reps from other businesses come out and try the hard sale and push and didn't really know their product well NuEco was the complete opposite. door open and my dogs would run in and out of the house, often banging into the open door and nothing went wrong. In December 2025, I had two new Crimsafe screen doors installed – a front door screen and a sliding back door screen. They had just been installed and the technician was explaining how the locking mechanism worked (on the front door) and my dog, not seeing the door, ran into it. The door immediately bent out of shape. The technician had to try to straighten the door, but after he left, I still had issues with it not locking properly and he had to return to fix it at a later date. Similarly, with the back screen door, I couldn’t leave it open to allow the dog access into and out of the house, as every time he bumped the door, it was knocked off its railings. I had to have the technician return again to reinstall the door. I ended up getting him to show me how to put it back on myself as I foresaw that this was going to be an ongoing problem. The locking mechanism has also changed and is not as easy to use, being a little finnicky. So while they might be ‘crimsafe’ when they are locked, they are not built to withstand a dog when they are open and/or unlocked. They also obviously don’t have any pride in their workmanship based on how crooked the advertising label is on the door.

began failing to open due to corossion on one small tiny piece. Contacted the company and 2 weeks later it was fixed.

The impressive part is when I told them I didn't have to fight them to get it repaired. I didn't have to explain the situation. I just sent the photo. Got a call for a time to attend. They attended when someone else was present. The job was done. Thats it.

In 2026... That is uncommon.

The only other point is compared to a regular screen they are far more expensive. But I knew the cost when I got it done.

them because I needed a replacement garage door motor. I explained exactly what I needed, followed up by phone the same day, was given the available options and a price, and I was ready to pay and get the motor supplied to my home.

Since then, I have been chasing them constantly.

I’ve called repeatedly and sent email after email explaining the situation and asking for someone to simply tell me what is happening. Almost every time I call, I get exactly the same response: “Someone will call you back within 10 minutes.”

Nobody calls.

What makes this particularly frustrating is that it’s no longer a one-off mistake or someone forgetting to return a call. It has become a pattern. Call, get promised a callback, hear nothing, follow up again, and repeat.

I’m not asking for anything unreasonable. I own their garage door product, I need a replacement motor, I’m willing to pay for it, and I’ve actively been trying to give them my business. Yet after a month of chasing, I still can’t get someone to take ownership and give me a clear answer.

For a company selling products that customers depend on every day, after-sales support should matter. A customer shouldn’t have to repeatedly call and email for a month just to purchase a replacement part for the company’s own product.

The most disappointing part isn’t even the delay — it’s the complete lack of communication and follow-through. If there is a delay, tell me. If the motor isn’t available, tell me. If someone else needs to handle it, put me in contact with them. But repeatedly promising a callback that never happens is simply unacceptable customer service.

Based on my experience so far, I have very little confidence in Steel-Line’s after-sales support. I genuinely

were rotated 90 degrees so didn't fit. The louvres when put together were too wide and weren't the measurements as per the quote. Instead of sending them all back I thought it would be easier for them to adjust the size of the end one. How wrong could I be? The window showed up and was now 20mm too short, I sent it back, the next one came back 30mm too big. For the last one, it was made as a stand alone window so could not be joined in with the others and it had the wrong coloured mechanism installed. Over 7 months now and not a good result. Next time I'll be ordering windows before I start the build so I can adjust the building to suit the windows, how farcical is that?

They then hide behind the 'corrosion is not covered by warranty' on the grounds that it's caused by the environment - so they don't expect their windows to be exposed to the environment? In our case we also don't have any of the high risk factors they list which might contribute to corrosion anyway. Also:

1. Aluminium does not corrode easily (it is used for boat fittings in salt water, truck wheels in salty road conditions and house siding in harsh climates in the US for this reason).

2. Aluminium is self-healing: If scratched, the protective oxide layer fixes itself right away when it touches oxygen.

3. Tough shield: The oxide skin stays tightly stuck to the metal.

4. Slow aging: In normal weather, aluminium holds up for years without wearing down.

Taking all this into consideration we can only conclude the damage we are seeing is the result of poor design or construction - [Name Removed] won't even visit to review and discuss the problems. We've had aluminium windows in previous housed which have lasted much longer with no signs of corrosion.
