different state. I then followed up with a replacement and waited another 2 weeks to call up again to find out it wasn't actually posted at all and to now wait another week. I asked for express shipping and compensation due to thier mistake and failing to follow up on shipping. With no compensation or anything for good faith for thier mistake, essentially I have to hurry and wait. Good price but wasn't worth the wait when I could have gotten alot sooner for not much more expense. It's been over a month and will be another week or two for the tools to arrive. Poor customer service on the online department for their mistake.

Over the last 20 years I have bought from Sydney Tools. I always bought brand name machines and the team at Sydney Tools was great. This week, I… Read more

bought a Daytona kit to remove ball joints and tie rid ends. Within 30 minutes of use, the tool failed and cracked. It is pretty obvious that the poor quality casting is not fit for purpose. I returned it to the shop, and after waiting an hour, I was told that the tool had been abused. I wanted to return the kit for a refund or store credit, they refused. As a good-will offer, they replaced the broken items.

So I now have a kit that I know will break if it is used as "designed" and I understand that it isn't a good idea to buy the shop brand (Daytona), or to trust the warranty return process at Sydney Tools.

We had a really difficult situation with some very old skylights. The Justrite team came up with a flexible solution and the workmanship was better than I expected to be honest. I was so grateful for their commitment to getting a good outcome for us.

We were in the market for a new garden shed. I initially purchased one via an online Australian store that seemed to be legit. It wasn't. Thankfully,… Read more

we got our money back. I then decided I would only purchase from "reputable" companies that I know. So we purchased our garden shed from bunnings online. The purchase was easy and smooth enough, but that's where it ended. I have the bunnings app, which recorded the sale, it was significant at $2990. I didn't receive any emails at all, and I checked spam and trash in case I had accidentally deleted it. After well over two weeks without any idea of when or even if the shed was coming, I decided to get onto the bunnings site. I found a track your order section, where it says you can put in your order number to track your item. We'll I clicked on it, and nothing relevant came up. In the end, it took me driving to my local bunnings store at Wallsend and visiting the special orders desk. I spoke with [Name Removed] who looked up my order. He said it was coming from somewhere in Western Sydney. He didn't ring anyone, but told me he would send them an email. I told him about our recent online scam experience and how it had made me very distrusting. He promised me he would contact me personally when he knew something. Well, he didn't. I received an sms message from someone else telling me that the shed would be delivered, which it was yesterday. That wasn't without its own issue though. Luckily the delivery driver rang me before leaving our local bunnings where the shed had been delivered. Bunnings had given them only one out of the three boxes the shed comes in. Apart from that, I cannot fault the delivery drivers, they were awesome and put the large boxes where I wanted them. I short, this was my first online purchase with bunnings. I won't be making another, nor do I recommend them to anyone else. Zero communication from them, which makes it hard when u need to be home to ensure that your garages aren't blocked. I honestly expected more from bunnings.

Furthermore, Arthur was super helpful and responsive and went out of his way to make sure the delivery got to my place, which wasn't straight forward given it was a new build and so not listed on Google maps.

Most of the tools I have purchased from them have been rubbish, their after sales service (with me) has been terrible and in my opinion they have… Read more

dodgy warranty? They won't print negative reviews on their site either.

Trade Tools Vices,, is there a worse vice than a Trade Tools Vice? I don't think so. They would have to be the most brittle cast iron trash in the market. I have had two of them and they both cracked just out of warranty. I have still got a patched up Trade Tools swivel type sitting on my bench that lets go if you use any force.

This is how their warranty worked for me: About a year ago I bought one of their "home brand Dremel" type tools & the switch broke on first use. I took it back & the guy said you bought this a month ago, & I said "yes" but today was the first use. Trade Tools said sorry we cannot give you a replacement but we can fix it.

So get this, they wouldn't replace it but they got a brand new tool out of a box on display, stripped it down on the front counter in front of me & put that new switch in mine, how slack is that. And then it broke again a week later. I decided to cut my losses & put it where it belongs "IN THE BIN".

When they had their old Trade Tools shop (now Sydney Tools) I purchased a STAR Touch up spray gun which was broken before I even used it because it was manufactured faulty & it would not stop blowing air. It had not even had paint in it when I took it back & the staff member said that was how they were meant to be. I said nonsense mate, please give me another gun or a refund. He said sorry no refunds here, and then he made me wait for just over an hour before he got me another one from out back. He was rude & arrogant.

Last week, "out of pure necessity", I had to go there again to by one of their "Renegade" touch up Spray guns ($109.00 - RI102AG-HVLP), and I also bought two different needles & nozzles for it as well (another $60.00 bucks). I would not have gone there if I had a choice, but due to supply circumstances in Brisbane it had to be Trade Tools unfortunately.

First use, I put 100mls of paint into the reservoir to set it up for painting & it leaked paint & spluttered from the nozzle because the brass nozzle holder in the gun body was not even done up tight so it was blowing air & paint out between the join & before it even reached the needle & Nozzle.

This time I did not bother about taking it back to be treated like a criminal, I just repaired it myself. It now works good enough to be a primer spray gun, but that is all it is good for.

some quotes from companies. In the end after waiting for callbacks, I decided to attempt it myself. I rang around and discovered that Trade glass depot was one of the cheapest for supplies and gave me all the advice I could possibly ask for. He rejigged my plan, gave me the measurements that were necessary and with very detailed instructions, I called a couple of friends that would be able to help me as some of the glass is quite heavy. I followed the instructions to the letter and I was very surprised at how it turned out. I am very very pleased with the result and I cannot thank Phillip and the guys from trade glass of depot enough. If you take your time and don't rush it you can do a job as big as this I highly recommend this crowd they were great
