special paint etc and the roof wouldn’t need attention for years.

After the job was done, the paint they applied was thinnly applied. Totally different to what I expected. Further our roof, which never leaked, developed a leak. Credit to the local contractor who came out and tarped the leak and eventually fixed it, however now I know a leak was made and am constantly on edge when we have rain.

The local contractor was obliging.

Since that time our roof started going back to a mouldy look. I personally feel they used a crap paint and was applied thinly.

Biggest problem with Roof Seal, is now they no longer have any contract in Cairns numerous calls to their office in Townsville and numerous promises that they would be attending, nothing left holding the bag so to speak

I do not recommend roof seal, I was l lulled into believing that they were a professional outfit and as their name suggests seals the roof. All they are a contractor painters that work under that banner and the company themselves don’t do anything to address concerns and no follow-up.

If you’re looking at getting your roof painted, I would suggest scour a local Painter. I would never use roof seal again and especially if you’re in Cairns there is no one here that works under that banner.

I’ve spoken to a local Painter that said my roof does need repainting although it was only done approximately three or four years ago

We signed up in March 2025 and were led to believe in the normal scheme of things we would have handover at the end of March 2026, however mainly due to a delay in the double-glazed windows and door arriving from overseas (due to a change in government policy making them mandatory and not just an option on new builds) we took possession some 6 weeks later in mid May 2026. $26,000. After delays, and delays, I finally got an installation date - 6 September. Just prior I get a phone call saying they do not have the finish requested on my contract. I was offered incentives for an alternative, which I do want or like. I am no longer in a position to install these windows. These delays I believe constitue an 'unreasonable' delay. The deailing I have had with Ecostar management have at best been unpleasant, manipulative and coercive. They are refusing to refund my deposit. I do not recommend any dealings with Eco star.

it was all a front! After over promising on a delivery date, then changing that goalpost after a deposit was paid and then under delivering on a date until I chased them up, due to family ill health I cancelled the delayed installation.

They refused to give me back my deposit - and kept it despite doing little but a few calls and emails! I am now taking legal action. So very sad to see an Australian business behave in this way!

forceful, arrogant and a liar. He takes ‘allowances’ for extra trades saying he will refund that money if not used - he then refuses to do so. Once he has your money - which has to be paid in full before the job starts (isn’t that illegal?) he won’t respond to phone calls, texts, or emails. We ended up taking him to DBDRV to get our money back - he treated them as poorly as he treated us. This is the greatest lesson I've learned after undertaking 3rd kitchen renovations.

Granite Transformations was abosrbed by Shore Renovations, so it's a whole new team these days and the team at Shore Renovations impressed me from the very start.

They were easy to deal with, design savy, they were there when they said they would be and addressed any issues or concerns immediately.

They even provided advice on ways to reduce the cost without compromising the result.

I would rehire them in a heartbeat.

An awesome experience from the start to the finish. No surprises, just fantastic service and an incredible product. Only wish we had have done it sooner. Thanks to everyone from compact
