their system saying it was complex and too hard. Batteries on the Go quoted $800 but got a guy here within the hour. When Kris saw the job he said it would be much cheaper due to the battery location and charged me $555 for the factory equivalent battery including resetting battery faults via the OBD. He called on approach, arrived when he said he would, fixed the job quickly, took care of my car and was well mannered and competent. Couldn’t possibly fault him or the service. I could buy two batteries for the same price.

My advice: stay away from NRMA. I was a loyal NRMA customer for 16 years, with multiple policies under the NRMA brand, including home and car… Read more

insurance. Unfortunately, this experience has completely destroyed my trust in NRMA as a brand.

Following a flat-battery callout, an NRMA/AMS technician replaced the battery in my vehicle. Immediately afterwards, my vehicle’s onboard Condition Based Servicing (CBS) and digital service history records were no longer available. My vehicle’s service centre subsequently advised me that the records should have been restored as part of the battery replacement process and that manually restoring them would cost hundreds of dollars.

What has been far more concerning than the original problem is NRMA’s response. I raised the matter with their case managers and escalated it directly to their senior management team. Despite being fully aware of what had happened, they refused to take any accountability or meaningfully assist with resolving the issue.

This is what has fundamentally changed my view of NRMA. How can you trust an insurance and roadside assistance brand when, after 16 years of loyalty and multiple policies, its case managers and senior management team simply refuse to take responsibility when you raise a legitimate issue?

It feels like NRMA is happy to take your premiums and maintain the relationship while everything is going smoothly, but when you actually need them to stand behind a service provided under their brand, they are unwilling to help.

I would have expected NRMA to investigate the circumstances, establish what went wrong and work towards a reasonable resolution. Instead, I have been left to deal with the consequences and potentially pay hundreds of dollars to have the issue rectified myself.

The most disappointing part is the complete lack of accountability and the impression that, despite being a long-term customer, my legitimate concern simply does not matter to them.

My experience has left me with no confidence in NRMA, and I would urge anyone considering taking out insurance or roadside assistance with them to think very carefully about how the organisation may respond when something actually goes wrong.

I’m also pleased they offer a complimentary 1‑month policy extension for leaving feedback – a nice touch that shows they value customer input. I’d definitely recommend 24/7 Roadservices Australia to anyone needing reliable roadside support.

This company charged me $2000 per year than tried to charge me $6500 per year for my GTS. I have left this company and have insurance for $2000 per year. They are greedy dogs. I don't recommend this company.

Disappointing experience – I would not recommend using this service. I booked RedBook Inspect to complete a pre-purchase vehicle inspection on a car… Read more

I was considering buying. Unfortunately, during the inspection, the vehicle was externally damaged.

RedBook Inspect did acknowledge responsibility for the damage and agreed to cover the cost of repairing the vehicle, which I appreciate. However, my experience with the handling of the claim afterwards has been extremely disappointing.

I was asked to obtain quotes for a hire vehicle while the repair process was being organised. After providing the requested information, I was later advised that my claim for hire vehicle costs would be refused. This means that, despite RedBook Inspect accepting responsibility for causing the damage, I would be left out of pocket for the cost of alternative transport during the estimated four-day repair period.

I believe this is an important consideration for anyone booking a vehicle inspection. A vehicle inspection is intended to provide confidence and peace of mind, but if damage occurs during the inspection process, customers should be aware that the company’s responsibility may be limited to the direct repair costs only.

I would encourage anyone considering using this company to carefully read the terms and conditions before booking an inspection. Although the company may cover the cost of repairing damage they cause, there may be limitations around other losses or expenses that occur as a result.

I would also suggest that anyone selling a vehicle carefully considers whether they are comfortable having their vehicle inspected by this company. A vehicle inspection should provide confidence to both buyers and sellers, and damage occurring during an inspection can create a very stressful situation for everyone involved.

Another concern was that RedBook Inspect did not handle the matter through insurance, meaning I was required to deal directly with the company rather than through an insurance process. This left me navigating the consequences of an incident that was not my fault.

Overall, while I acknowledge that RedBook Inspect accepted responsibility for the physical damage, the way the claim has been managed afterwards has left me disappointed. Based on my experience, I would not choose to use this service again and would recommend others carefully consider the potential risks before booking an inspection.

Thinking a quote would cost me $$$$ Sid greeted me, took a look and manipulated the panel back into place, screwed in the end and job done. No charge. That was a very very generous thing to do and I really appreciate it. So relieved in the end but this is the type of service which goes a long long way to knowing if I need them (hopefully not) then I know where to go straight off. Thanks again Sid, much appreciated and I want your employer to know this has not gone unnoticed.

I take issue with having to provide my home address for work completed in their workshop. It was explained to me that requesting that detail is so… Read more

that "work can be accurately identified in the future." Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, businesses may only collect personal information that is "reasonably necessary" for one or more of their functions or activities. A business cannot collect information just because it is helpful or convenient. The tax invoice accurately identifies the work with consideration to the vehicle registration. Were the registration to change, then that would certainly give rise to hindering accurate identification, even if presenting the tax invoice. Perhaps they should record the vehicle identification number (VIN), as that is surely a standard means of identification.

That suggestion gives strength to my argument that a home address is not required for work completed in their workshop, and the fact that a home address is insisted upon versus a more legitimate means to track work done to a vehicle by way of VIN casts a shadow over their intent for such personal data.

I regret providing my home address. I ponder the situation where the privacy of a customer may require suppression of the home address to protect them and what options are available to said customer. None were offered to me when I asked why an address was required.

They also claim that their work is supported by a lifetime guarantee, subject to their warranty terms, and that guarantee is not transferable. If I sold my vehicle one week after the work was completed, and paid for, and the new owner had an issue with the windscreen (or other product/service), then I wonder how the ACCC would view the negating of the warranty versus consumer law protections. But that is a subjective topic for a review so do not give it much consideration.

I am happy with the quality of the work done.

cocaine. All his smash repairs were fire bombed by outlaw Bikie gangs last year, including his Portsea house. Has been stabbed and had drive by shootings from bikers as well.

He steals your car by posting dodgy adds on Google when he needs work, so when you google your insurance company you end up calling his shop instead, they play along taking your claim then send themselves out to steal your car making you hand it to them with no idea what they doing.

7 news just had Australian actor Christe Browne on asking for help as they stole her car with this advertising scam.

By the time you find out your Insurance company don't have your car it it's too late. He will not return your car, and continues on scamming the Insurance company over charging on repairs and hire car. If there is a problem and he doesn't get paid he keeps your car until you pay the bill which could be tens of thousands, if you don't pay he sells it off for parts.
